Why threads get deleted at times and what to do after.

I just thought I would touch base on this since the last thread asked this question...

If a thread gets deleted this could mean many things..

It could be against the TOS

It could have gone horribly wrong with fighting that include personal attacks.

Sometimes we can pull a thread and fix it by taking off the bad posts and then put it back in play... that is what we'd rather do.

We do get a lot of complaints about threads also.. some is because of content... some are because people are posting links in them.. Usually there is something that is against the TOS so we have to pull it.

One thing though is we admins are all working together to try to do what is best for the site and the people here... We really hate that we have to take action at times but it is necessary to keep the boards free of negative drama.

Before posting a thread please ask yourself... "could this thread be deleted because of the subject content?" If you can't answer with a clear no then do not post it or contact an admin at the Help Desk and ask for help... we are always very willing to take a look at a thread subject to let you know if it is not something we can have posted here. One main reason is we have a TON of minors here and we have to keep this site as close to rated PG13 as we can. I would say rated G but know that some threads are a little past that and again we want to try to keep a good balance here and have as little complaints as we can get to make the majority comfortable posting here... after all... first and foremost this is a low carb support site... the Off Topic areas are for your enjoyment but we need to have some rules here because of the sensitivities of others.... I hope you all understand that.

If you have a question as to why a thread has been deleted please PLEASE do not post asking about it or complaining about it... this again is a no no because it gets everyone riled up and there is a lot of speculation that is creating even more drama.... Instead just click on the Help Desk and we will be more then willing to talk to you about it... We will also try to PM the person starting the thread to let them know what happened to it... I am sure some of you have heard from me on this and know that the reasons are always valid...

I hope this helps answer some questions on this subject and that you all understand what we do and how much we work to try to make this one of the best sites on the net... I have seen many people mention that they feel this site is the one they feel safe at and by knowing they feel that way then I know that we are doing a good job..

Take care!!
