Blah... I'm out for a couple days.... I've come down with strep throat. i feel like a big pile of you-know-what.... I'm just going to focus on eating healthy all around so I can get better. Will catch up with you ladies in about a week ok?

Yes it is me, I still have my thyroid and have the nodules, I opted against removal because of the Doc telling that my thyroid is functioning properly and telling me about the weight gain, NOt on any meds for it, except i started taking a probiotic , Im still trying to figure thru it because I just cant see having it removed if it is working properly. I was just trying to hit it head on with eating right, alot of what I have read indicates that can help, but idk....Im used to these flucuations at this point , but thank u

Ok Ok so I have had some not so good experiences this week with TOM, I may be giving TMI, but TOM has been making appearances since Wednesday ever so lightly and then Disappearing, and yet again another week early....I was beginning to think That maybe it wasnt TOM and something was wrong, however I woke up this morning with full on bloat, puffy, ucky feeling, and its now here full force. So I am somewhat accepting of the spike, But I pray it will go away as TOM leaves. it has been very strange to say the least, for the past 2 months it has come a week early each month, and I am always regular , could be the probiotic, could be my WOE, could be stress who am I kidding , its probably all of that combined, But on a positive note, I am still focused and will continue and pray I hit 190 before months end...

CONGRATS LADIES U GUYS ARE DOING GREAT

This really makes me happy to hear this, because all of us here are on our own journey to have this happen for ourselves, I think.
I understand the stress you're under with your rigourous PHd program, I have a very close younger friend, who I watched developed a severe case of anorexia, during her first 2 years of medical school - she went from a very healthy, muscular 145 down to 105, during that time. It was the only thing that she had control over it seems, and lived on lettuce, cool whip and ran 15 miles a day
We were all so concerned, because it was a life threatening illness, but with a lot of support and love, she moved through this phase and is well now.

It sounds like you are getting your head in the right place

Yes- thank you Suzanne. I think just learning to stop and breathe and remember, food is a good thing and it doesn't have to be carbs. I know this part. Now, it is making sure I get the calories in. I am glad your friend is better!! love and support is the key ( kind of lacking it right now), but I have faith that it will be ok.

Beautiful day here at my hometown!
Luminosity,SuzanneM,BrattyS,Mauigal and everyone else on here ...
I wanted to thank each of you girls for all your words of encouragement! You are all so kind to me....and I feel so sorry to disappoint you but yesterday I felt off track...
...hubby came home from a 4 day business trip and invited me on a date night.the food was delicious and I tried to resist but he insisted and also told me (quoting...) ..Baby we only live once...
What can I say,we had a great time and I ate small portions cos I was not that hungry....but I can say I had an ice cream and even a Ferrero Rocher...


What I really think is that hubby came home,saw that I had lost weight and got jealous,and then wanted to sabotage my mission.....

Will be back on my stillmans diet tomorrow ! Its much easier when I'm at work and away from home...

Hi everyone. Congrats on all the losses. Sexyback...hope you feel better soon, darlin! The past few days have been a nightmare for me...loss of an old friend and relationship issues brought on by me being a friggen idiot. I haven't been eating...Stills or otherwise. I just wanted to check in and see how you all are doing. I'll be back. Once I get my appetite back it will be Stills all the way. I bought a pair of size 14 jeans last night and can zip them without having to lay down...lol. I haven't seen 14 in many years! Sorry for being a downer right now. I'll get through this. Was out all day running errands yesterday after AM soccer. The Husband and kids wanted to stop at McD, he bought his laptop to check on work(!), and I ended up ordering food for him and the kids. I was *this* close to ordering something sweet for myself; ice cream, mcflurry, sundae...my eyes were scanning all the naughties , but thankfully, good sense prevailed and I ordered a hot tea instead, but still, jeez...that was a narrow escape.

I've had no hunger the last 2-3 days but woke up this morning with intense, stomach growling hunger.

I also have found that I cannot lose with HWC or 1/2-1/2. I have a coffee addiction, and drink several cups throughout the day. Even though I drink some of them black, the ones I do drink with dairy were enough to keep me from losing consistently. So, I went to Shop Rite yesterday and got the powdered non dairy creamer(which I somehow always assumed would be yuck), sacrilegious I know, but the cals and fat cals are much lesser than the HWC or 1/2-1/2, and it mixes alright, so I will make do with that until I complete the weight loss process.

BrattyS, I got over myself and took the Mg Friday night, and happy to report that contrary to my fear, I was just fine and wasn't running around for a bathroom all day . So thank you for mentioning it, you gave me the push I needed

D2L, please take care of yourself. We'll be here whenever you are ready. I can empathize with the stress induced no eating, as I tend to get like that too. Life is unpredictable, and we all have our ups and downs, peaks and valleys. Please do not feel the need to apologize for that.

You are doing awesome. You and I have similar starting weights, although my scale doesn't measure in tenths of a pound. I've had it since my first pregnancy 14 years ago, so I am kind of attached to it and won't change it unless it completely breaks. KUTGW !

Hey, you are not doing bad at all. One meal is just a blip, get right back on the wagon, and you will be just fine. The important thing is that you enjoyed the off plan meal, at least it was worth it to you . Hang in there, you will lose the gain and then some pretty soon. Stillman's is awesome

PS: You didn't disappoint me. It was an occasion, your hubby is seeing you after a multi-day trip. Done and dusted, draw a line under it and continue onwards and downwards !

TOM throws such a spanner in the works. I swear there are some months where I only get two good weeks, the other two I am either PMSing big time or on the actual thing, then there are some times where it comes and goes without a hitch. I also GAIN five pounds out of thin air

You are doing the right thing, staying focused, that is the only variable in our control. Hang in there Kandi

Thank u all for the encouragement, the weekend wasnt too bad, My Youngest daughter turned 4 yesterday ,on top of Mothers day, but once again I made it thru even with TOM lingering, Hoping for a big whoosh this week to get me goin back in the right direction

DTL i can relate to the issues , im having them as well, one day seems fine the next seems like anyone could care less. i suppose it comes with the territory..hang in there

Hi Everyone! Thanks for the well wishes. Still feeling miserable... I have been a bit off the LC track the past couple days, but I haven't gained which is more than I could have hoped. Frankly, I don't even want to eat, but I'm drinking a lot of tea.

I see some fantastic losses! Congrats. I see some having challenges, usually related to TOM or spouse. I feel ya on both fronts there!

I'm hanging in there, but will probably stay low key for a bit. I'm really not weighing, or focusing too hard on weight loss right now. I'm at work, as I'm not "sick" enough to take it off, but today is the day I'm to go with the girls at the office who help with our annual golf tournament, meet with the club contacts and get a free lunch... thinking I'm going to have to order the bunless burger with a side salad or something. lol

I would lower my goal since it's coming off faster than I thought but I'm going camping all weekend on the lake and there will most likely be drinking! So my plan is to give myself the weekend of off stills and pick up again Monday to lose what I gain and maybe even reach 130 by months end?? Anything is possible!

Thanks for the love luminosity and Kandi! Can't wait to see all of our final numbers this month!

Good morning

Good Morning ladies,

I was supposed to start 5/6 but I didn't I knew I was going to Atlantic City for the weekend and it would have been hard to stay on plan. So today is day one for me, what is surprising is that on 5/5 I was 219 and today I am 218.8. How I managed to not gain weight over the weekend is a miracle but I will take it.
We started a biggest loser contest at work and the pot is $400.00 if everyone pays the $25 fee so guess who is super motivated!

A biggest loser contest at work is what got me started! I lost 24 lbs-14%. My winnings was only $200 since we each only put in $10 but it REALLY does keep you motivated to know you have to weigh in every week! Good luck!

Guys, I had an epic fail yesterday at dinner. The only good thing I can say is that I planned it and it was intentional, not an out of control type of thing. Pi˝a Coladas, biscuits, crab cakes were all involved.

Still, as expected, I am worse off on the scale today, up 3.5 from Sunday's weight. Back on the horse today. I feel calm, but rejuvenated. The monotony of the food was getting to me a bit.

Has anyone incorporated ff Greek yogurt? I am struggling with snack options that are not meat or eggs. Thoughts?
