Girls, someone slap some sense into me. I had two lattes yesterday. I am A-ok with my food, but love my lattes, and am having issues because of it.

Help.

Truly wonderful people here

I am over my bad mood now. My daughter and I had a wonderful lunch of those ribs over a bed of lettuce with cheese, crema and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro. It was a super low carb meal full of protein and fat so hopefully the scale won't find out I ate somewhat off plan.

I took my own advice and had a cheat within low carb, high fat boundaries just with extra protein. Oops, and extra calories.. But it was so worth it! I feel renewed and energized.

I went shopping for our lunch's fresh ingredients and got some Still's foods. I plan to do basically an Atkins induction over the next three days simply because it's going to be 12 hours of running around at work and I need the extra protein. I have a menu plan ready, just have to get in the kitchen and prepare everything.

Starting Tuesday I will try Still's. I have salmon (yeah, I read the posts!!), tuna, chicken, cottage cheese and have some zero carb, low calorie condiments at home. I forgot ground turkey or chicken but I hate to buy more anyway when I have so much in the freezer. I will research Still's recipes further while at work so I can get up first thing Tuesday and start without hassle. I already know I can have energy on small amounts and the FF has sort of detoxed me in regards to needing sugar, carbs and the like. Shouldn't be too terrible, right?

I will keep you ladies posted on how things go. Thanks so much for everyone's support!!
Glad your feeling better , U r so inspirational to others,

No big shake at all, lady! It could have been worse, just move forward. You are doing great in general, so try not to let the lattes cripple you

5lbs to go!

I am just trying to maintain this weekend and will pick back up Tuesday- pretty much just keeping it low carb. Yesterday I drank a good bit of crystal light's margarita mix with some tequila while at the pool! I also snacked on almonds a good bit of the day and had steak and a huge salad with ranch for dinner. As long as I don't gain this weekend I should be good!

I'm still here

I've been horrible about logging in but I am still here. Stillmans is much harder than I anticipated. but I managed to lose a couple of pounds. Starting my period today and I was 216.8 this morning. Usually I gain about 3 pounds with my period so not bad at all. I was 219 I think when I started (and I havent been 100% compliant)

Hey ladies! Hope you are all enjoying the holiday weekend!
I'm still messing around with the same 5 lbs, up, down, 2 days on, 1 day off plan, yadda, yadda, complacency at it's best

I do miss the energy and non cravings, I get from purely Stills, so I'll sit and think on that for a while

Enjoy and hope you are making good food choices

Kandi, I'm dying for a glass (hell, a bottle) of wine. I'm so jealous!!! I hope you had a good time.

Awillia, how did it go with the crystal light margarita? I pledged not to drink unitl my mom's wedding but man oh man.. work is so nuts, my body aches from it and I just want to relax with a drink soooo badly! But I don't want to wreck any of my progress. I wonder if going off for a day, drinks and low carb foods then back on starting Stillman's would be a good or bad thing. Any ideas? Mommy needs a cocktail.

Annie, I haven' tried it myself and so don't know the results in terms of weight loss, but if you *HAVE* t o have a drink, a vodka and diet coke would be potentially the lowest carb option.

Wine will cost you, rum and diet coke, vodka and diet coke..things like that will be less costly.

Hope you choose wisely...don't want for you to undo any progress !

Hi Kandi !!! So impressed with your loss today. I am PMSing big time, my cycle is messed up, so I'm suffering

But you will be so proud of me..I have been on plan, except for my favorite lattes (oh well) and some mayo in my chicken salad. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do, right? No sugar, or any other crap at all. Go me

Tooting my own horn, cause I need to see it, so I don't stray

Not to bad, at least it's not the typical gain I have every Monday after the weekend is thru, So I am claiming this as a victory and now have 4.3 to lose by 5/31 to hit my goal...

I must admit I am petrified of this Miami vaca coming up, based on what happened to me last year, I do not want a repeat, for anyone that don't know , I had spent 3 weeks on lchf and lost ten pounds prior to goin, I got there and boom gained 15 in 3 days, my whole body swelled up and I was miserable for the remainder of the vaca, from that moment on I have struggled to lose any significant weight at all and keep it off over the course of this last year, I suppose the victory comes in knowing that I don't want that to happen again ,but still scared nonetheless, I know I am just gonna have to stay on plan as much as possible, I will be gone from 6/1 to 6/9 and I don't want to start June off with an epic fail not to mention TOM is supposed to arrive around the 5th so all things considered we shall see

I guess Kandi, do you have an outline of a plan to follow on vacay? 15 lbs in 3 days doesn't sound right, that's like half a million extra calories

Edited to say I dont doubt what you said, more that it couldn't all have been fat ??? How long did it take to fall off?

First of all, great news!! Toot away!!

I changed my mind completely by the time I got home last night and felt wonderfully refreshed today and ready to come to work and have a great day..however it isn't turning out that way. I have a coworker who is a passive aggressive bad mouther, talks venomously about almost everyone behind their backs. It's all I can do to survive the days with her, mostly avoiding her. Today, looking for something for a patient in a back corner closet, I walked up (they didn't see me) and heard her bad mouthing me to 2 coworkers I consider friends. One of the friends was complaining about me as well. I want to cry (but won't!!) because my "friends" participated in her bad mouthing of me. Spineless!! I guess I was wrong to consider them friends and I just need to forget about it.

God help me finish this awful day and forget about this place for a couple of days. I'm really, really sad.

Tonight, vodka with diet tonic with a twist. For as long as I can stay awake.. so probably half of one

Thanks for listening! I wanted to reply to more posts but lunch break over in 2 minutes!

Kandi!

My advice it this. Confront her. Ask her what the problem is and say that if there is a way that you both can work to fix it, it would make a much more pleasant and mature place to work. There's no reason why you shouldn't confront her(them), because their behavior is not appropriate for the work place. But approach it when you are calm and can be completely unemotional about it (think stone faced). It makes you the bigger person to be able to deal with workplace conflict in such a mature way.

My sympathies though. Not to make it a "Gender issue" but women like that give us a bad rep, when things get catty like that. If we approach the issues like a man (dry and completely clueless about the emotional side of the conflict ) you will actually garner much respect from your superiors. Good Luck girl!

Well, I have a small victory. FF has gotten the scale moving again. I restarted on Thursday on a FF at 208.2ish. I am now down to 204.4! This a new low for me. Yes, I am only 2 lbs lighter than I was at this time LAST MONTH (ugh), but hey! it's moving again. I will have to go back and find my last post with my daily weighs and get that going again.

Anyway, when it rains it pours at work, so I may be out for a bit except for rather brief posts until next week (or at least the weekend). Happy losing Ladies!

Yay on the loss, SexyBack!! And welcome back, missed ya!

Thanks for the advice. The ring leader (as I call her) and I have spoken before and she becomes very defensive and cries and hugs me, then tells me "I'm the type of person who confronts someone if I have a problem with them" which is a load obviously. I don't care what she says or does, and she is the manager's pet so it wouldn't be good for me to go there with it. It's harmless in that nobody listens to her or can stand her.
The others, well that hurts. If I talk to them I will cry, and that ain't happening here today. There's a negativity here that has been cultivated by management and thrives with people like these. I think it's just time to find another job..
If you put enough women together for 12.5 hours in a confined space, sure enough you will find at least a couple of women like this, they sink like turds to the bottom. (sorry.. had to say it ) It's a shame, we should be on each others' teams!!!

Thanks for the wise words. I think in this case it's better for me to keep my nose to the grindstone and just come in, do my job and go home.

And have a vodka tonic

That's ok!! I knew what you meant, actually kinda thought it was a shout to Kandi for what she's been up to.

As for the work thing, I'm just putting it all into perspective. It's a job and I'm here for my patients and their families. Not for anyone else. I should let go of the idea that everyone has to be friends and just let us peacefully coexist, or at the very least be able to rise above it. I think I'm over it. Partly because of the cocktail waiting for me at home.

Get some sleep, as will I, and tomorrow is a new day and most importantly.. An OFF day! I can't wait to sleeeeeeeep...!

Take care everyone! Good night!! Keep up all the good work!

Edited to say I dont doubt what you said, more that it couldn't all have been fat ??? How long did it take to fall off?
I had like 2 sangrias when I was there, and didn't follow LC , but when I returned home I was 15 pounds heavier and it took me about 4 weeks to lose ten afterwards, and I been fighting ever since right now is the lowest I've been since that trip, my body definitely felt different, idk if it was the heat water retention or what but my body was swollen and I was miserable.
