Stillman Diet and workout plus advices

Hello everyone. I'm planning to start the diet tomorrow. So it will be a protein for a long time. Would like to loose 17-18kg and I was wondering how long it will take me please?
I'm also planning to workout at the same time but I read somewhere that it will slow down my weight loss? can I still do something like the bar method?
Did you guys notices hair loss with the diet?
Any tips are welcome please.
Can not weight to hear from you.

Hi Perie I'm a week old Stillmans newbie myself so not sure how long it would take to lose your weight, there are so many variables. I lost 4lbs in my first 2 days, water weight coming off for sure, whihc is what most people experience - I'm waiting to weigh again until Monday.
As far as exercise goes, anything you feel up to doing is fine, but I don't think stressing your body too vigorously is a good idea, while your body adapts to this ketogenic diet.
I've felt quite funky this first week, so have just got in a couple of walks and a couple of yoga stretching tapes. I usually do a spin class 3 times a week, but I'm laying low and being gentle with myself for now.

Hello I don't know how long it would take you to lose that much weight but I am able to lose around 10-15 pounds in a month. I do not know about the working out. I have health issues that prevent me from doing much so I just walk on my treadmill.

Best wishes, I hope you are able to lose it all!

I would not recommend working out while doing Stillmans. I would do it to jump start, take a month off and workout. I did Stillmans 6 years ago....lost 50 lbs in 4 months and did really well until some life issues got in the way.

I had no hair loss at all

I am doing it again and have lost 10 lbs in 4 days.....

Perle,

Not sure what the Bar method is but I would say if you exercise regularly, keep doing so. The protein in Stillmans will mean you will get the muscle recovery proteins you need. I would also suggest that if you are completely driven by the number on the scale, take a break from any exercise that strains the muscles. DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle soreness) makes you retain water. Plus if your body composition is changing, your scale will not give you good numbers.... It really depends on you and what your motivation is. If all you need is to see the scale decrease, just do Stillmans. If you can stick with it faithfully, you will see results!

Many thanks sexy back for your reply. The Bar method is like Callanetics but more advanced or faster. Have you ever heard of Callanetics?
