On another note... I definitely cheated this morning. I forgot to bring my snacks for the day, and right at my usual morning snack time my boss walked in with home made apple crisp. I was hungry and didn't have anything, and I told myself that ONE cheat isn't going to kill me. I refuse to beat myself up over it... unless the scale says something really ridiculous tomorrow. We shall see!

SOOOOOOO Glad I didnt give up, TOM came for an early visit this month whch will definatly explain my gain, i wasnt expecting that for another week but i am glad i didnt do my usual throwing the towel in, this morning i was back down those 3 pounds, I ate more salmon last night and didnt have anything but water after 8pm, so with all that being said, i suppose one of those is a helping factor lol, hope everyone else is doin well.

Ok. It's going in the right direction again. (bouncing ball down stairs effect).

Work is doing a spring BBQ today in our warehouse, plus cake for the April birthday people. I will be partaking of the BBQ chicken breasts (yum), but will only help cut and hand out the cake. None for me! LOL. It's a white cake, so I really don't care. If it was chocolate, turtle, or even ice cream, I'd be a goner

You know, I was looking at my food journal (from when I actually bothered to keep one) and noticed that my bigger losses came from the days I didn't eat anything for breakfast except for HWC in my tea, and just waited for lunch. I think I might try that periodically to see if my theory is correct. It doesn't bother me too much, and I pound back the water most mornings anyways.

I also didn't make any fish last night. We still have leftovers in the fridge from the night before, so the family had BBQ chicken thighs, but I cooked some of the chicken breasts with the Stillman's cola BBQ sauce. Pretty good! a bit sweet, but not too bad at all! Oh! And I labeled it! HA! we'll see how long it lasts now!

Jeezidunno: I think your head is in the right place. Good for you! I've had to re-evaluate my goal for this month. I knew going into it that it was "lofty" (19 lbs when I average 12 per month). Our bodies are going to do what they are going to do! If we are utilizing the tools given to us, and are focused on sticking to our plans, the body will do it's thing, regardless of whether or not we think it's enough.

Kandi that's more like it! It came a week early huh? Mine is due in the next week - would love it too come early and get it over and done with! This is always the week, when I get terrible cravings - sweet, savory, sweet, repeat. I am so hoping I bypass those this month, and not undo any progress.

Sexyback, hwc and coffee is my morning meal and it keeps me going until at least 12noon. Was that the ketchup, cola and spice rub bbq sauce, I must whip up a batch.

jeezidunno - I also had a cheat last night, was at a passover dinner, surrounded by gorgeous pastries and all kinds of goodies, but chose a matzah cracker with butter and cheese to cheat with off all things. High in carbs/fat but I think my calories came in good for the day. Oh well, what done is done, not beating myself up.

I'm reconfiguing my utility room for more storage and came across 3 tubs of clothing, especially jeans and pants, so much fun, trying stuff on and finding they are loose even, love clothes shopping in my closet

Suzanne, the bbq sauce was just the 4 chicken breasts, cooked in 1 cup low carb ketchup and 1 can diet coke, for 45 minutes, then at a higher temp to reduce. I actually shredded my chicken just to make sure all the insides were covered in sauce too. LOL

I ALSO went through two bins of clothes last night. Had three piles going: can fit now, will fit very soon, and motivation pile. Plus I also got RID of a huge bin of clothes, some that even still fit, but don't much care for now, or was winter clothing that will be MUCH MUCH too big come next winter.

Doesn't it feel great!!

Oh man... I would've much rather had matzah crackers and cream cheese than the pie. Clearly my taste buds are changing, because I actually found it a little sweet, and I'm usually a sweets person! Were there potato pancakes too? No way I would've been able to avoid those.

Thats actually my morning routine, i hardly ever eat breakfast, im talkin like maybe once in 3 weeks...i usually get me a dunkin donuts black coffee with splenda and cream, and fill up on water till lunch then i will have a grilled a chicken of some sort, most of failure comes in when i get home, but i have a different mindset about that now, so hopefully that will work a little more consistently, my weight is fluctuating as much as the weather around where I live lol. Good job on resisting the cake, i dont even like cake but i would want a piece just because lol

No latkes, I stuck to the brisket - passed on the gefilte fish and chopped liver, which I'm sure would have been on plan.
I'm not jewish, but love to partake in all holidays

Today I feel like I have willpower of steel!! My office brought in this HUGE cake for the April birthdays (me and one other lady who wasn't there) to serve to the entire building (guessing about 50-60 people). It was a beautiful chocolate/vanilla/custard cake from the Italian bakery here in town. OMG! I had to cut the cake and hand out the slices to everyone. I got whipped cream on my fingers and didn't even lick them! I had a simple bunless burger with mustard, slice of cheese, and a tiny bit of lettuce, with a glass of water. Nerves of steel man, nerves of steel. Gotta Love Ketosis!

Wow, everyone is doing so well! I'm still here and hangin' in. Sometimes I 'cheat' and get on the scale (as I only weigh on Sats.), but at night so that I don't really 'know' what I'll lose overnight - 1, 2 or sometimes even a half pound. I get discouraged easily if I don't see a loss, so why I don't weigh daily. Same for keeping a journal of my eating. If I get 'too obsessed' it can derail me. I feel really encouraged this week to see a good loss on Sat. I feel like I should be eating more, but my appetite is nil. Sometimes I bet I get in less than 500 calories a day. That's bad for the metabolism, huh? Nothing really appeals - I gag on eggs and chicken. Been doing turkey burgers (thanks Suzanne!), shrimp, fish and a 1/3 c. ricotta in the morning. lol! I NEED moisture! Going to a bridal shower this Sat., so am sure to go off plan a little. At the wedding last Sat. they had taco makings, so I just had the meat and a little cheese, and of course some wine

sexyback You DO have willpower of steel! Good for you! I might try that BBQ sauce
jeezidunno Good on you for not getting discouraged
alicat Nice loss!
Suzanne Matzah cracker? LOL! Congrats on your successful 'shopping trip.'
kandi Impressive 11 pound loss since the 1st! Onederland is in your immediate sight!

Sorry if I missed anyone else! KUTGW, everyone!

Getting ready to go to the gym, which is something I haven't done since I started Stills. Should have definitely started last week during spring break, but of course I had every excuse in the book. But I'm leaving in like 10 minutes... this is happening today! Hopefully I'll start to see the weight fly off again.

You are going to do it Kandi! hang in there.

I totally get you about a 3-4 lb fluctuation, my goal weight is going to be within a 5lb window, definitely not a single number. It's what I've fluctuated with all my life, and it's not going to change now.

Not a stellar week for me ladies, I started really strong, but too many goodies surrounding me at every turn, and pms has been kicking my butt. Just feel a general puffiness going on.
But it's the weekend and with no real plans, I find it a lot easier to get my water in and buckle down, so no more messing around, and just working the plan.

YEs have to be a 5 lb difference for me cuz i will go up 3 pound over night at times lol and I can relate, PMS was killing me this month and I didnt knoe thats what it was, cuz it came a week early, but boy does it make me crave and makes me puffy, u will be fine just refocus, it will go away lol have a great weekend.

4/19 - 177.4 - I don't know what happened. Ate on plan, tons of water, ketone stick is purple, AND I went to the gym for the first time in a long time. I'm so confused. I know muscle weighs more than fat, but there's no way my body made muscle that quickly after one workout. Ugh...

Anyway, I'm headed to the gym again shortly... today is spin class. Gotta spin through the pain- that workout yesterday was no joke, and my body is NOT happy right now.

Jeezidunno oh how I feel your pain, i would give anything to know why our bodies does this when we have done everything right, even looking at the big picture sometimes isnt good enough for me, all I can say is hang in there it will eventually go, it has literally taken me 3 months to get the scale moving and theres not elling when it will stop again
