LCD and BBARE

Thank you for the advice, I have been going crazy over it, I guess mostly i am concerned about the 4 1/2 cnt one, altho its not causing any harm now and hasnt been for years , Since Nov i have had a ton of changes in my body, and I know I am getting older but to me that is not an excuse, I have done LC for along time( obviously off and on) but nonetheless no stranger to it, i have not been able to lose on it much lately and i always seem bloated and puffy as if im retaining water even when doing everything right! with that being said i also literally couldnt see with the glasses I had for about 2 months i have always had bad vision and worn glasses since i was 3 with a lazy eye and astgimatism, but all of a sudden i woke up one morning in Nov and couldnt see my computer when I got to work this went on as i started going to several doctors till i finally got progressive lenses and they work now however , as of the last 2 days I have been experiencing slight problems again. I somehow feel this all ties in together but not sure. And I feel like BBare that its about the money , because when I didnt have insurance about 10 years ago I went to have the knot in my throat checked and they turned me away like nothin, now all of a sudden its an issue. question tho if i treat it myself and since they say its functioning properly, do u know if it will go down in size at all?

Sexyback and Kandi, well done on your losses, great going

I have a little carb creep going on, in the form of those darn Thai chili lime nuts They're gone and not coming back!
I tend to get complacent when I've seen a good loss, which is fine for maintaining, but I've got a goal to reach, so back to basics and keeping my eyes on the prize!
Hope others can check in with their updates, even if it's not been stellar, I find the accountability really helps.

Well, today is day 12 and I'm down a total of 9 pounds. Can't really complain! I've learned a couple lessons over the last few days that I've been missing from the board (though still mostly on plan):

1. Russell Stover's sugar free candies work better than magnesium, but....
2. Net carbs are total bull crap.

Now I know- I need to count actual carbs, and not try to subtract for ANY reason. I definitely got knocked out of ketosis eating those dang things, but I'm being super strict now (I know, I've said this already but I thought I figured out a way to cheat without cheating... lesson learned) I was .8 pounds heaver yesterday, but thankfully I was down 1.2 this morning.

Another thing, I don't wear "normal" clothes all week being in the military, so I haven't had the chance to see how my clothes are fitting. Today I put on a pair of jeans that were pretty uncomfortable on me a couple weeks ago, and they fit just fine! Woohoo!!!

Keep up the great work, ladies!

Good morning, ladies!

I love what happens when I stay STRICTLY on plan! Down another pound this morning, for an exact total of 10 pounds so far. Unfortunately I will be having another cheat day this coming Wednesday, because my office is having a going-away thing for me and there will be lots of food. I can't stay on plan at my own party, I suppose :-/

I'm going to get in on the accountability thing. I've weighed every day, but haven't recorded it every day (mainly, on the days I go up!) but I will start doing that. I'm going to post here whether I like my daily weigh-in or not. Let's see what I have so far...

3/30 - 187.6
4/02 - 181.2
4/03 - 180.6
4/04 - 180
4/06 - 179.8
4/08 - 179.2
4/10 - 178.6
4/11 - 177.6

Apr 11 - 211.0 NICE! And I wasn't even really strict stillmans yesterday. Was run a bit ragged with stuff after work so ended snacking on some cheese and bacon for "dinner". Need to do a BIG grocery shop tomorrow. But today is my birthday (33) and I'm getting treated for lunch at work by my boss and team, plus the family is going out for dinner tonight. My goal today is to stay as low carb as possible. I'm not going to worry about the fat today.

NSV today: decided to get out my spring clothes from last year that I had put away rather early due to my gaining weight. Put my favorite outfit on today, and it fits perfect. Almost too perfect, as in, will most likely be too big in a couple weeks! LOL i see some shopping in my near future.

jeezidunno: wow! Look at you go!! I know what you mean though by not recording when it goes up. I do here, but I don't on my online tracker.

Happy birthday, Sexyback!!

Awesome losses, girls

Kandi, I find that if I don't keep a food journal I get WAY off track. You think you know what you're eating, but you really don't. It certainly keeps me in check. In fact, I frequently plug in everything for the day in the morning so that it's all planned out, and I know that if I eat anything other than what's on there, I'm going to go over my calories or carbs for the day. That way I'm more likely to stick to the plan for the day.

Hmm thats a good idea , think I might start pre-recording lol, but keeping one does help me witness why I may have gained or not lose , it def keeps me on track as well.

I've become really slack with my food journal... But then, I'm boring, I eat pretty much the same thing over and over again. Some days I know i eat a bit more fat and calories than others (sort of inline with the JUDDD program, but with more DDs), but generally, if I have a higher day, I have at least three lower days. I did track really well for about two months though, and if I change up my patterns, I'll track again so I get an idea. I know how important it is though!

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Have a great weekend!

Wow, way to go Alicat - you are rocking it!

Sexyback - enjoy your day!

No weigh for me, and I can tell I've had a lot of up ands downs this week, just a general fluffiness feeling- I need to get a bunch of strict clean eating days in - I only weigh when I feel thinner

Everyone is doing so well and a testament to how this plan works so well, when you work it.

Wow! Sounds like you guys are doing really well!!! I do agree that accountability & SUPPORT is the key to staying motivated & getting the weight off. I know that most of us don't come on if we have not lost or think we have screwed up but that is when we really need the group --- so stay focused --- coats are gone! For those of you who yo yo - me included, it seems like food sensitivities are the culprit here. So check the food journals to see if you can pinpoint a food that may cause trouble But really women fluctuate by a lb or 2 every day - so try to relax and look at the week.

BBare; Thanks for the info - I hear you. I am not taking any medical grade stuff. I am using this HCG Activator that I get OTC and it works like an appetite suppressant --I think Suzanne mentioned coming from a Low carb/high fat plan takes a little extra oomph!
& thanks for the thyroid info. I have been in the process of compiling info about shrinking nodules so this was great for me.
Suzanne - thanks & right back at you! those last 10 lbs should be in the rear view mirror in no time.
Kandi & SB - great losses too!
Thanks Mauigal --- having to fit into a great dress is fabulous motivation! Have you looked yet? Good luck at weigh in tomorrow!
SB - Happy Birthday, fellow Aries! What day was it? Mine was Wednesday!!!
LCD;Were you on a thyroid med and just stopped taking it? Wondering how that would work? Thanks for the info!!!
jeezidunno; 9 lbs down is fabulous!!! Congrats on the NSV too!
Alicat3924;Looks like you are doing great.

My apologies if I have missed anyone but congrats to all on plan!
AFM..since Monday I am down 9.2 lbs --- YAY! And I had a Birthday on Wed and NO CAKE!!! (even tho some was brought to my house!) Looking forward to weekly weigh in on Monday so I can see the real deal. Good luck to all who weigh in on SAT! I could never do that --- it wld give me a license to eat off plan on Sat & Sun... just how my brain works! Have a great night!

It's been a rocky road, but I'll take it! Going to a wedding today, so I'm sure I won't be 100% perfectly on plan. It's the year of weddings! Aside from both my kids getting married, there are 2 more we're invited to!

Newjulie - No, I haven't really looked yet for MOTG and MOTB dresses yet. Need to lose (quite) a few first. Thanks for the encouragement and thanks for asking. Congrats on your huge loss!

Happy weekend everyone!

4/08 - 179.2
4/10 - 178.6
4/11 - 177.6
4/12 - 177.6 <- Really? I know I can't lose every single day even when I'm doing the right thing, but... it's still disappointing. I'm going to have to drink some Smooth Moves tea, that's for sure. That's allowed, right? The magnesium doesn't seem do be doing much.

Alicat- nearly 8 pounds in 6 days, you're doing awesome!

Suzanne- I know what you mean, but I'm the opposite. I need to weigh every day, that way if I see a gain, I KNOW I need to do something to fix it, instead of letting it continue to creep in the wrong direction.

Newjulie- You had a birthday, and didn't eat a piece of your OWN birthday cake? You are so much better than me. I thought I had a victory when I went to the movies the other day and didn't get or bring any kind of snack... but I don't think I could avoid my own birthday cake. In fact, I know I couldn't. Great job!!

Mauigal- Just keep at it, and you'll see results! I think cheat days or meals are ok now and again, honestly. I couldn't get through an entire month with absolutely no cheats... I would get a couple weeks and then binge, for sure. Just make sure you get back on track after you do it! DO NOT let yourself cheat for more than one day. When you wake up the next morning, it's a clean slate.

Happy weekend everyone

Newjulie - great job on the 9.2 lbs

So today is day 14 on plan and it seems I'm on a holding pattern this week.

3/29 - 140
3/30 - 139
3/31 - 136
4/1 - no weigh
4/5 - 133
4/12 - 131

I'm sure I had little ups and downs this week, but didn't look to record them. I know I wasn't as strict as I was the first week, didn't get all my water in and then I had that run in with the nuts
It's all good, my belly fat is squishy, instead of a hard fat to me it's a sign, that it's getting ready to move on out.
I've got good food in for the weekend and will get 1 or 2 spin classes in and water, water, water.
Keep on working the plan, ladies

I'm okay with this. I rather expected it though, as I had two meals out yesterday. I kept it to very low carb, but did have some salads, and wings (with really high sodium). I also weighed after I had breakfast. LOL. I will give myself until Monday to get below 211 again.

Jeezidunno- I completely understand about the scale. I weigh everyday because if I see it go up or not move, I get this sense of personal challenge and determination to do something about it. I don't let it put me in a bad mood, I just get more focused. It's my stubborn nature.

Keep up the good work ladies!

4/13 - 177.2<- Ok. Half a pound in two days? I'm not ok with this... my ketone stick is the darkest I've ever seen it, and I've eaten between 1000 and 1200 calories each day for the last week. The magnesium isn't helping, and the Smooth Moves tea that I drank yesterday still hasn't done anything either. Suggestions?

Water water water!! the darker the keytone strip is, sometimes can indicate higher concentration from not enough water. I would not "recommend" a laxative but I find that the Magnesium helps only a little, so I take 1 Ducolax maybe once a week, sometimes once every two. But don't worry so much. It will happen. The hardest part about losing weight is when it slows down from the initial losses. We can't expect that it will go as fast through the whole process, as it did the first two weeks. YOu have done really well. Don't let it discourage you. Stay the course and the next whoosh will surprise you!
