Thanks! Perle, I've been getting in at least 2 litres = 64 oz of water, It's hard for me, also my coffee and iced tea bump it up some.
I'm going to aim for 3 litres this week.

Hi everyone! Sounds like everyone is doing great... Glad I am not the only one who experienced a bit of a stall this week, though.

I am at a new low of 196.8 after 2 days of strict FAT FAST (Macadamia Nuts only) to break a 4-day stall/creep up in weight. I just got so discouraged as I saw my weight creep back up toward 200 lbs, and I couldn't take it! I wasn't doing ANYTHING wrong, and could not have improved Stillman's AT ALL, so I needed to change stuff up. 2 days of Fat Fast and I am back on Stillman's this morning with renewed motivation.

So here are my stats:

April 1 - 198.4 lbs
April 2 - 198.8 lbs
April 3 - 199 lbs (at this point I had enough! I did FAT FAST this day)
April 4 - 197.8 lbs FAT FAST again
April 5 - 196.8 lbs and back on Stillman's with Turkey & Egg

Keep up the good work, everyone!

Hello ladies!

Well, I'm coming on here with my head hung low. I went out for dinner/karaoke with some girlfriends last night, and I told myself I was going to keep it low-carb, but.. apparently I have ZERO self control. Woke up half a pound heavier this morning, and my ketone strip read "trace". A couple hours ago I was at "small", so I guess it wasn't as bad as I thought, but... still not ok.

On another note, the food last night seems to be causing some stomach problems today, so perhaps I'll lose that half a pound quicker than expected (sorry, TMI).

You guys are doing great, though!

Yes, I know it would be boring. I know I couldn't do it forever, but I have a lot to lose, and it might give me a good kick start, especially with the warmer coming. I'm still thinking about it. I know how hard it would be, but I have been successful on Atkins in the past, and I like that lowcarbing means I don't have to be hungry. The hardest part for me is getting into the right mindset, it's not something I've ever been able to force. It's hard

Full disclosure, I didn't eat enough today, I just made a shrimp omelette at lunch time and then was running around for the rest of the day and went to a girlfriends for the evening - I should have eaten before I went round there, I was starving, so when she brought out a bowl of these gluten free, lentil type chips, I stuck my hand in and we both chowed down.
I cheated on my plan and for about 1/2 hour, I was thinking of what good stuff I could go get on my way home Anyway, I wasn't hungry anymore, but came home and had a turkey burger. Good save on my part. Onwards and downwards!

Alright, the scale is moving back in the right direction again... lost that nasty half a pound, and .2 more. I don't know why I insist on sabotaging myself. I'm down 7.8 pounds since I started, and it's officially been 7 days. Not too bad, considering! I've officially broken through 180! My goal for this week is to lose 5 pounds. I don't expect it to go as quickly as the first week (it never does), but if I can lose 5 I'll be ecstatic.

Don't beat yourselves up jeezidunno & Suzanne. You're both back on the right track and that's the important thing. I messed up with a couple glasses of wine again yesterday, but at least I ate clean and the ketone strip read 'moderate' this morning. jeezidunno - did you know you can cut the ketone strips in half and save some money? I learned that trick on here a long time ago.

Have a good Sunday, everyone!

Yesterday was a mess. We ran errands all day so I didn't get hardly any fluids in. Breakfast and lunch was fine but dinner was at almost 9pm and we just grabbed a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store. I had a breast with no skin or fat on it. Not bad but I am sure it was loaded with things I would not normally eat on my chicken. I also had about 6 pork rinds last night during a movie. Tons.OF.Salt! Still saw a .2 loss. Nothing to be thrilled with but at least it still went down.
I hope all of you are having a great weekend!

Day 1 229.6
Day 2 227.4

Day 4 225.2
Day 5 224.8
Day 6 224.6

jeezidunno & Suzanne What Mauiga said is right. Don't sweat it. You did great getting right back on.

Yeah I'm good this morning, I'm an all or nothing person, glad I didn't let it spiral into an all out carb fest, so lesson learned in making sure I eat proper amounts of protein throughout the day, so I don't grab whatever's there!
Energy is good, so I'm off to do a spin class this morning, water, water and protein, is the plan.
Hope everyone is doing well

Hi everyone! I'm starting tomorrow, but I'm experimenting with adding in more fiber/carbs. The last time I tried this, I had the worst constipation of my life. I really can't say for sure if it was the diet or from going off track, but there is no way I can have that happen again!

So, it's Stillman-esque with adding fiber supplementation. I found a really good protein/fiber powder that has 14 grams of fiber per serving, and is net 2 carbs. Since I work out, I figure I could test drive this as a form of an experiment and see how it goes!

Just really thrilled, as I haven't been under 135 in years. I did start the beginning of last year at 155, and slowly whittled of 15, hflc throughout the year, but have been stuck for the last 6 months, with the same 5lbs fluctuations
Loving this plan, as I'm putting in the work and it's actually showing some results, excited to see where the next 3 weeks take me
Congratulations woooo hooo

I've been constipated all my life, it seems But since I discovered magnesium, no more. I take 800mg before I go to bed, works wonders! Also remember to get your water in.

Good luck!

Day 1: 174lbs

Oh ya I drink TONS of water! I did actually buy magnesium to take, but I didn't have it then LOL! I think it's called Natural Calm or something? I also like to add in flax oil for BM issues. I remember taking it on a daily basis years ago and never having a problem! So, I will work all angles on this one and see how it goes.

With the fiber/protein supplement, it does add carbs to my day but I'm willing to try it. It seems, sadly, I need more carbs anyways to lose, even on Stillman's. I was actually surprised by that. I'm one who used to meat and egg like a pro and drop inches and weight like crazy. But it seems at this higher weight, it doesn't really do too much for me but drop water weight. Interesting how at a smaller weight, zero carbs works wonders but at a higher weight for me, it seems to actually be something that stalls me. Geeze!

So, if I eat lean ground turkey, 1tbsp coconut oil, 1tbsp flax seed oil, and 2 servings of fiber/protein, it looks like:

1130 calories, 32 carbs, 40 fat, 28 fiber, and 156 grams of protein

Will see how I actually eat by the end of the day. I'm pounding down my four cups of water, and then I'm off to the gym at 5am. I start a new job today, which should make this diet a lot easier to follow since I'll be training starting at 8am, Mon-Fri.

NSV: I have lost 30lbs slowly since August, mostly without low carb, and I can FINALLY say I am in a new dress size! I'm finally in size 12 pants, at least in the Target and Maurices brand! Funny how brands work.. I'm still wearing 16s in other brands, but they run small. Since Target and Maurices are stores I shop at a lot, I know my shape is changing! It was less than a month ago I was wearing I tried on a 14 and it fit good enough without the muffin top.

I had a serious case of the munchies last night and ate the rest of the bag of pork rinds. Then I had a slice of cheddar cheese and a handful of the tiny turkey pepperoni. No carbs but it has enough sodium to kill a horse! I am up .8 today. Today I will drink a ton of water and flush it all out to see a nice loss for tomorrow.

Day 1 229.6
Day 2 227.4
Day 3 225.6
Day 4 225.2
Day 5 224.8
Day 6 224.6
Day 7 225.8

IWasMadeThisWay I hope this go around works out for you. I know added magnesium will help a lot. I could not do stillmans without it.

BrattyS oh gosh, the weekend errand thing... Yep that's me too! I have a really rough time getting the fluids all in too. I end up flooding myself come Monday which is why my best losses are usually during the week, not the weekend.

IWasMadeThisWay Hey! Welcome back! I completely hear you on the constipation issue. I take magnesium pretty faithfully, and still have an issue with it. Not always mind you, but even though it keeps "things moving along", it has never left me feeling...(as a nurse said to me once, her words) "fully evacuated"... LOL. Combine that with the lower fluids on the weekends, and I find that maybe once ever two weeks, I take a gentle laxative (which I really don't like to do), just to clear everything out. My DH has the same issue with the lack of carbs (he's only doing LCHF, not Stillmans). Let me know how your testing goes! Oh! and a big congrats on the new job!

Kandi You are freakin' awesome for staying on plan during a mini vacation!! I have a hard time staying on Stillmans at all when I deviate from routine. WOW. Now THAT is a fantastic NSV

Good Monday morning everyone

So I'm on to day 10 on plan and feeling great, I want to thank you for all just being here for support this past week, because it was really hard to adjust to the food and just the general ickiness I was feeling.
I really think I've found something that works for me, after being stuck for soooo long, thinking I was doing all the right things, but seeing no results

I'm not going to weigh until this sat to see what my 2 week results are, I've got the food down now, so it's just a case of patience and waiting it out.

Wishing you all a great on plan week

Good Morning ladies, thanks everyone for the encouragement , ugh i weighed this morning since i wasnt able to all wekend i just knew it was gonna be good (ughYea right) 208.4, and i stayed on plan however my water consumption was no where near it normally is and i did drink more diet soda than i would, but other than that i was on plan, I suppose I need to take in account that the food was cooked at restaurants and even though i ordered accordingly, there were prob some hidden carbs/sodium/ whatever lol...BUT i noticed over this weekend that i am retaining water???? I dont know why this has never happened to me, my hands and feet swell something awful lately and its on and off anyone else have this issue???

Hey, don't worry about it! Stick to plan and keep chugging along. I read somewhere once that weight loss is like a ball bouncing down stairs. Plus, you were travelling right? I retain water like crazy when I travel!

Yes , u know I first noticed this last year now that I think of it, I had gone to Miami for the first time ever, I had lost about 10 pounds prior to going, and i was there 3 days and gained 15 pounds no joke, i thought it was just the heat, and change in environment, but ever since then it has happend on and off, not quite as bad as that, but it is occuring more. But I am gonna keep going no excuses, lol

SlimFast;Congrats on being firmly in Onederland and for kicking that stall goodbye! I really understand the frustration of watching the scale going in the wrong direction.
jeezidunno; Congrats on the 7.8 pounds
Hi IWasMadeThisWay;I am starting today too! Good luck to us all!!!
Kandi313;Dont worry - it is likely water weight from restaurant food --- drink more and flush it all out.

Thanks for the welcome!
I started today and am also doing a Callenetics challenge. I have to get more of this weight off....tired of carrying it around. I am taking an HCG Activator product and want to see if that can push my results. But I am really tired today - had to take a nap - likely from carbs yesterday. Ive been low carb for so long - they really knock me out when I have them.
Onward & Downward!

Oh I forgot to ask --- have any of you ever added a protein shake to the Stillman plan with good results? I use Jay Robb Whey protein w 25 g of protein, only 1 carb - no sugar. I use a half scoop in my AM coffee sometimes to ward off hunger & lighten it up. It would make a world of difference but since I just began today, I wouldn't want to experiment just yet...
