Congrats, Suzanne! That's an amazing weight loss, considering you are close to goal. Always heard it slows down a lot, but Stills (or close to it) is really shaking things up for you.

YAY! Kandi! I have a feeling onederland will stick for you.

I'm not a daily weigher, either, but sometimes I sneak a peek at night. Encouraged by what I saw last night.

Ok So i have had this taste in my mouth that I am not enjoying...I cant say its cravings, but it makes me want something other than water, yesterday i decided to add cherrylimeade enhancer to my water, its 0 everythin (i still worry about that tho cuz something is giving it flavor lol), but it did help and it definitly didnt knock me out of Ketosis and I still lost overnight... I yet again have this taste this morning and im just gonna chug my morning coffee ..im pretty sure its the Ketosis, I hardly ever turn that dang thing purple, but the last 3 days it has been deep purple! Praying for a godd weekend, I finally feel im on the right track again and I want nothing more than to get to my Goal of 175 before June!.

I caved.... I weighed. LOL couldn't help it, the dang scale is in my bedroom.

Back down to 210.4. This is the same weight I was 11 days ago! so I've "wasted" two weeks with the bouncing around. On the bright side, I kind of know what I need to do to stay within a 5 lbs range to maintain...hahaha.

Anyway, due to the cheats I had over the previous weekend and couple days after, I know I was struggling to get back into ketosis again. So yesterday I started a fat fast (planning to do 3 days) to get me back down to where I was. Plus, after doing the fat fast, going back to stillmans will seem like a treat

I also went to the gym last night for a light workout. I'm not an exerciser really, but my DH was driving me a bit batty, so needed to get out of the house and the gym seemed like a good option. I figured I'll try and start making it a regular habit. They also have a steam room, which is really why I like to go.

Kandi, you are KILLING it! Great job!

Sexyback, you are so much better than me! If my husband was driving me batty, I'd kick HIM out of the house. Haha, probably wouldn't bring myself to the gym because of it. You're awesome!

LOL, If I tried, he would just laugh at me. He's super stubborn... I pick my battles! Maybe that should be my new thing... every time he starts to annoy me, just go to the gym.... Hmmm, maybe not. I'm not too crazy on that lady body builder look.

We've had some amazing cumulative losses this month ladies, even if it's slowed down, really great how far we have all come.

Wowzers, I'm down another 2 this morning - so shocked

3/29 - 140
3/30 - 139
3/31 - 136
4/1 - no weigh
4/5 - 133
4/12 - 131
4/14 - 130
4/24 -127
4/25 - 125

My best friend of 25 years arrives from UK (I'm a Brit btw), on Tuesday and then we are off to Las Vegas Baby! Thurs- Sun - so much alcohol and food will be intaken I've got no desire to carb up - because it really makes me sleepy, but see no reason why I can't stick to Atkins style at the scrummy buffets
Totally expecting a 5 lbs gain, but it will be worth it.
I would like to continue on with the challenge in May, if we all are in, the accountability and support have really helped me and it's going to be great, seeing you all move downward

Hi all,
Tried this once and didn't do that great with sticking to it, but I am ready to give it a shot again starting tomorrow. Kind of late for the April challenge but I'll get a jump start on May and be down some by the 15th which is my birthday. So its off to the store to get some shopping done so that I have no excuses. I will post my weight tomorrow morning.

Hi everyone--Have been low carb since Jan, and Stillman's for the last 6 days. I am an old Stillman lover since he was on the Phil Donahoe tv show back in the 60's. Bought his book then and was successful, but like everyone knows it didn't last long. So here I am 40 + years later and trying it again. So far I have lost 26 pounds since Feb, but still have more to go. Hope everyone is successful and I love reading about your successes
--motivates me and I hope to motivate you all.

HI everyone

I was wondering if anyone counts how much protein they eat. I feel like I am eating sooo much and not sure if that will impact my ketosis. I literally ate only chicken, tuna and egg whites today but it took alot to fill me up.

I am motivated to stay on this plan for at least one month to see how it goes. I am only day 2 and I am feeling a bit like can I really do this and think straight??

I only have about 5 lbs to lose but it appears that it takes me alot to shed these last few.

Maybe I should shoot for just 2 weeks? then move into the next phase.

any thoughts?

I'm such a slow loser , but happy I'm below 170, barely. Going to move more this week and get on the treadmill - see if that helps. I'm in for a May challenge.

to Peace msviv boisegirl - nice loss!

Kandi looks like you're firmly planted in Onederland
jeez & sexy don't fret - you're both going downwards and that's what matters
Suzanne Wowza! Have fun in Sin City! You deserve a good food and alcohol fest! I was there last year and tried the new Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar's - simply the best (and I've been to them all), and for sure you'll be able to stay lowcarb there. Are you seeing any shows?

Have a good weekend all!

Happy Weekend everybody

Welcome to Peace, msviv, boisegirl - jump right in, Stills has been a huge success for me - I wish you great progress.

Peace, I for sure don't count my protein - who has time for that I would just commit for 2 weeks, eat the foods allowed and then see how you feel, why only egg whites, the yolks have the yummy fat, that will help with hunger?

Mauigal - whoot a new decade :jump joy: I've lost 30lbs total since Jan 2013, and it really has been a slow and steady process, so rewarding to quietly slip through each new decade - I honestly never though I'd see the 20's again, in this lifetime, but with consistency it can be done.
We are going to see Rod Stewart at Caesars, thanks for the buffet tip

Welcome boisegirl, good luck to ya, Peace I do not count protein either Suzanne is right just eat what allowed and u will see it drop.
Mauigirl congrats to u on ur new numbers , sometimes slow is good, if we have the patience for that. Good luck everyone have a great weekend!

Almost forgot I was shocked but not this mornin at the scale, and am somewhat worried of a spike in the next few days, i hardly ate anything yesterday , having some DH issues and not enjoying it at all, but it has caused me to be so busy and uptight that all I ate yesterday was 2 pieces of grilled chicken from KFC and about 10 bottles of water , now I am somewhat hungry, but with the drop I seen this morning I don't want it to bounce back up because I consume more food today, I'm pretty sure it will but I am hoping it will be moderate if any, ok that's my rant today ....now have a great weekend. Lol

Kandi LOL@ "Whoa nelly" You have the cutest expressions. Good for you! Take it where you can and don't worry about 'spiking.' It is what it is, right? Sorry about your DH issues We all have them

Suzanne Ooooooo, I'd love to see Rod! I saw Tom Jones a few years ago there in Vegas Yes, I'm old, but not as old as he is.

Lucky you! I could have seen him, but declined. My younger sister and her girlfriend saw him when he used to perform at the Vegas Hilton in the early 70's. We were mere babies I will forever regret not going with them.

I apologize to all on this thread for going way off topic

Well Ladies, I've really been struggling the past two weeks. I keep bouncing around from one low carb plan to another. DH, who is also trying to lose some pounds, has been seeing no real movement on the scale either. We've talked about it and we both agree that we've been not as committed to our plans as we should due more to boredom than anything. We seem to be able to handle the "maintenance"! LOL. But we have decided to recommit to our plans for May 1st. We aren't going to go off the rails until then, but we aren't going to stress about non-loss for the next few days. I wouldn't say that May 1 is going to be a "restart" per se, but I will "restart" Stillmans then. Back to basics. Plus I've gained a gym buddy in a friend of mine, and we're starting together then too.

Realistically, I think it's pretty normal to have these difficulties in making a lifestyle change like your WOE. Yes, it's frustrating when your body doesn't do what you want it to do in time frame you've given it... BUT! I'm giving myself a break. I've been so good for 2.5 months. A couple weeks deviation due to too many high fat cured meat choices and probably too much cheese (i'm really going to try and cut out dairy from may) has stalled me. I know what it is that is doing it, but I need a few days of preparing myself mentally for the new drastic change for it to stick. (Hence why I started this WOE as my New Years resolution in Feb, not Jan. LOL)

I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to stick around this thread for the last few days, as I enjoy reading about all your successes! It really helps with the mental preparation for next month to see them! Way to go Ladies!! I am so freaking proud of you all!
