Hi Angelmoon!

I will give it a try with you! I was looking at the Stillmans diet for a couple days as my typical LCHF just isn't getting the lbs moving. Last time I had success I was also keeping my fat content down. I'm already keto adapted, don't care much for veggies to begin with, so I think I'm the perfect candidate lol (although I will miss the bacon!). I started on my Weight loss journey on Feb 1, and lost 11 lbs. (sounds great, but was mostly water and glycogen, then completely stalled for a week and a half).

So how do these challenges work? Will we post our daily weigh? discuss challenges/success? It's my first time.... :D

Mar922 02-25-2014 05:13 PM

I will join too!

I have done stills and it works great! I just started again a couple days ago. Right now I am posting in the M&E thread because no one was answering my posts on the current board and it wasn't very busy and I need support of other people doing this diet because its hard, but I will come and post here too!

trisholeary 02-25-2014 05:20 PM

I will join you guys, I have been wanting to jump on the Stillman wagon for a while now and I am finally ready to do it.

mishelkiki 02-26-2014 01:27 AM

Hi!

:hiya:

mishelkiki 02-26-2014 01:28 AM

I'm going to join you girls soon! Have done this before for 1-2 weeks and saw great results. Can't wait to start again but need some motivation from you here...I really am addicted to sugar and sweets that's why I cant keep up for longer periods, but this time I will stick to stillman until I see 57 kilos on the scale.

Kiley2801 02-26-2014 07:43 AM

I'm in too! :) Starting to cut down on the carbs this week, and will begin "strict Stillmans" beginning Saturday, March 1!

This is truly the *only* eating plan that helps to curb my (HUGE) appetite.

IWasMadeThisWay 02-26-2014 08:45 AM

I'll be joining you guys! I have been stocking up on omega fortified eggs, egg beaters, chicken breast, ground chicken and ground turkey. Looking forward to a good month of losses!

sarahmakeskinny 02-26-2014 10:16 AM

Hello! I'm part of the February challenge but will be going into March. Let's get the fat off!

Kandi313 02-26-2014 11:30 AM

I too am in Feb challenge, hit my 30 day personal challenge goal today, gonna increase intake until March 1st and try another 30 days, i lost a total of 12 pounds, may have some thyroid issues, getting tested tomorow and waiting on results of that, my starting wait was 212.5 on 1/27 i did full 30 days stalled like crazy from week 2 to week 4, i now weigh 200.5 today ,that TOM is lurking but hoping not a huge spike from now till the 1st , still watching what i eat but tryin to trick it up a lil before i make that commitment again.

Jan 2014 210.5
Feb 2014 212.5
Mar 2014 tbd

Mar922 02-26-2014 02:23 PM

So is everyone starting March 1st? Or are there a few of us (aside from the February ladies) who have started already? I started 4 days ago and I am down 3 lbs but I am eating higher fat right now to get myself in to it then I will just higher fat days here and there.

I had/have super bad sugar cravings so I find it always helps to have a higher fat first week to really get into it.

I plan to stick with stills until I get off all this weight (40lbs) I have gained since September. Last time i look me about 1.5-2 months to lose 30 or so lbs. What about everyone else?

skinnybyjune 02-26-2014 03:00 PM

I'm in as well! I started this past Sunday but want to continue through March and I need buddies! ;)

junebug 02-26-2014 03:23 PM

Hi everyone! I started in Feb and have been posting there, but my personal 30 day challenge goes until march 8th, so i will start posting here starting march 1st! Looks like there are a good number of people in this thread! YAY!

IWasMadeThisWay 02-27-2014 10:32 AM

I just started today. Doing good so far. Lots of chicken and turkey, that's for sure! Pretty bland, but spices do help!

B - 3 omega fortified hard boiled eggs, 1 chicken burger
L - two ground turkey/chicken "muffins"
D - 4-8oz grilled chicken (depending on hunger)

I've trying to down 3 liters of water for the day. I had a few cups of two and two cups of black coffee. I use pure stevia to sweeten since it has a 0 glycemic index.

Phase 02-27-2014 10:33 AM

I'm going to try! I want to do it March 1st-20th with some higher fat days as well. I'm at 180 today and every other day I see 179 on the scale, I'd like to see that number two days in a row. lol I was a bit disappointed that I only lost 3 pounds in February so I'm hoping I'll get to see some steady loss in March with Stillmans!

junebug 02-27-2014 10:48 AM

One more day till march! Stock your fridges if you are not already mid-challenge! For those new to Stillmans, I suggest lots of lean turkey burgers, chicken, cottage cheese (though, for me I could easily binge on cottage cheese i love it so much, so I swapped it out for laughing cow lowfat wedges...ill have one alone for a snack, or spread on a turkey burger), and eggs!!!! Oh, and seeing katchup is allowed, Heinz low sugar is great to add a bit of flavor to meals. Its 1 carb per serving. And drink that WATER! :)

AKDogg 02-27-2014 12:16 PM

Let's do this. I've started today on the Stillmans! Yesterday I had a very low carb day with some LEAN hotdogs for lunch and Lean hotdogs with cottage cheese for dinner and pounded the water down all day. Did have coffee with half and half in the morning and a coke zero with lunch so I wont really count that as officially starting Stillamas until today.
Thanks everyone for all the great advise. I'm really excited to try this and see how it works for me. Sound like this is a VERY effective plan if stuck to by the T. I forgot to weigh myself this morning so don't know official starting weight but will keep track from tomorrow on. Lets get it done people!

junebug 02-27-2014 05:06 PM

:goodpost:

IWasMadeThisWay 02-28-2014 04:04 AM

Hope everyone that has already started is doing well! I didn't eat dinner last night as I wasn't hungry. I forced three hard boiled eggs and chicken this morning, but I have half in the fridge to eat after I come back from my morning math class.

I haven't weighed myself since starting, but I will weigh myself tomorrow so I can see what weight I'm starting at for the month of March.

AKDogg 02-28-2014 07:48 AM

Last day of February! Let's all nail March!
Yesterday I had 1 cup of tea and 1 cup of coffee for breakfast (wasn't hungry at all)
Lunch was a can of chicken
Dinner was 2 lean hotdogs, 2 slices of turkey ham, and 1 egg.
TONS OF WATER.
I find it a lot better for me mentally to write about what I had and continue to post my success and to hear about yours. Let's do this together! I'm ready! Everyone enjoy your last day of February and let's make March the best weight loss month EVER!

junebug 02-28-2014 09:10 AM

Morning ladies! I posted on the Feb board but I'll post here. I finally broke through the 188-187 hold, and make it to 186.9! Not very far past..... but I'll take it! Staying good on Stillmans pays off! I skipped yoga today... so I'll try the Zumba class at the gym tonight. I need to run but it's rainy and cold..... and I hate running on the treadmill. So Zumba it is. I've done it before, but not at this gym. They only hold classes at 7:45pm... which is kind of late but I'll work it.

I will back at it tomorrow for another 30 day challenge, My total loss for Feb, was 12 pounds with a 2 week stall, I had my testing done on my thyroid yesterday , waiting results on that, But I am still in it to win it, I havent weighed the last 2 days my last weigh in i was at 200.5 on Wednesday 2/26 which completed my first 30 day challenge, i have been eating some sugar and fat and i got my monthly friend yesterday, so i am sure my beginning weight for March will be up somewhat, but thats OK, It will come off , These message boards are an inspiration for me, and I love that I can be totally honest without Judgement but have the encouragment to stay on track....so good luck everyone , see u tomorrow with the stats :jumpjoy:

I'm having dinner out tonight with my boyfriend and his parents, then I'm ready to rock on Stillmans QWL starting Saturday. Time to git-R-done!

Wow you have done GREAT, especially considering that you weren't at a *higher* starting weight to begin with---very inspirational!

Quote:

My total loss for Feb, was 12 pounds
Wow you did great too! I'm sure that stall was mega-frustrating, but on the bright side you weight 12 pounds less than you did a month ago--yippee! That's A LOT better than I can say for myself, unfortunately. Ready to turn it around though. :)

Kandi313 02-28-2014 01:46 PM

Thanks KIley, yes it was very frustrating ,but u r def right im 12 pounds lighter than i was, hopin by the end of march another 20 will be gone lol, and u can do it its mind over matter, Good Luck

Erika1962 03-01-2014 02:05 AM

Hello everyone! :hiya:

I have been reading so many success stories here with the stillmans challenge, so I will HAVE to give this another try. I don't expect any huge drops because I have been low carbing all along, but this time around I want to drop the fat and see if it makes a difference. Not sure if I will make it through all of March but I sure as heck will try!

Day 1---189.2

Good luck everyone!
