Hi youdont...

I think you might be on to something there about the cottage cheese...I have it and yet when I eat it more than once a day my loss seems to not be as much...

Congrats on building muscle and losing 12 pounds last month!

Awesome losses! I'm getting closer to the 160's. It would be nice to see that by Saturday which will make it my one week mark.

It's good you haven't been hungry, and if this is what works for now with no issues than that's good! If you get to a stall point, try upping your calories since they are very low. Metabolism doesn't necessarily shut down, but it slows down with very low calories and weight loss can stall, or stop. However, it is normal to stall at some point. Just keep in mind to up your calories here and there, say, every other day, should help prevent a stall due to low calories.

I do have experience in stalls, so I try to eat more calories every other day. I have been eating around 800-850 on a leaner fat day, and over 1000 calories on a "higher" fat day. I tend to graze on Extra Lean Turkey, which has around 10 grams of fat and nearly 150 grams of protein for a 5 serving package. But, the calories are lower than I'd like. So today, I had Lean Turkey (not the Extra Lean kind) as it offers nearly 1000 calories right there, in addition to the eggs I eat and the 1-2 wedges of light laughing cow cheese I allow myself. All in all, I'm doing pretty good! I'm happy repeating the same meals right now. It's very simple, basic, and easy.

Good job! And I love the username. I'm trying to bring Sexyback for Summer.

Plus, I'd like to see some old army friends without feeling embarrassed by how much I've gained. Oh, and my birthday is next month! Hoping to reach my first goal by April 21.

Another great day on Stillmans! Congrats to everyone on their success. Let's keep it going! Yesterday's menu:
Breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs, black coffee
Lunch: can of tuna mixed with fat free cottage cheese
Dinner: 3 scrambled eggs mixed with turkey ham with Franks Red Hot on it.

It's amazing what a little Franks Red Hot can do for your food. LOL!

Good morning everyone! I woke up to a nice loss of 1.2lbs this morning! I also went to the gym and walked/ran for 25 minutes on the treadmill, and had a 30 minute work out session with the personal trainer. It looks like we're going to aim for 3x a week strength, and 2x a week mostly core/Pilates. My goal is to pass my ARMY physical training test in May. So, I'll find out in April if I will pass or not by taking one. By doing that, I'll know what I need to improve in before my actual test for record.

MARCH CHALLENGE
Day 1: 176.4lbs
Day 2: 176lbs
Day 3: 174.5lbs
Day 4: 173.3lbs

I ended up only eating turkey yesterday with two light Laughing Cow Cheese slices. The lack of hunger AND sleep, is kicking in on full swing! I bought some more Extra Lean ground turkey yesterday, omega fortified eggs, as well as stocked up on Laughing Cow Cheese.

This morning, I signed up for a food diary, and it looks like I'm eating around 880 calories, 24 gr fat, 150 gr protein, 2 carbs with just the lean turkey, eggs, and cheese.

I hate drinking water too - esspecially during this cold miserable winter we are having, its so much easier to drink water in the heat of summer! I am trying though! Sometimes I just heat up water and drink a mug with out tea or anything.

Last 2 days I've felt GREAT! The 3rd day was the hardest day for me. Struggled with lack or energy and TIRED, hard to keep my eyes open. Yesterday and today a TOTALLY different story. Sleeping awesome at night, waking up early and feel like I could run a marathon. I know I couldn't and would probably gas early because of lack or carbs but I FEEL LIKE IT! SO motivating. No hunger pants and I really have to try and remind myself to eat something.
This is going so great so far and reading everyone else's successful days has motivated me even more! LETS KEEP IT UP!
Yesterdays menu:

Breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs/Black coffee.
Lunch: Can of tuna mixed with fat free cottage cheese mixed with Franks red hot.
Dinner: 1 large chicken breast, 1 very small chicken breast with Franks red hot.
AND as ALWAYS TONS of WATER!!!!

Clothes are fitting better, body feeling better, pounds a droppin and it hasn't even been a week yet. CONGRATS TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!

Day 3 227.2
Day 4 226.8 (DH was upset because I finally fell below his weight LOL. Happy for me, but I think he's more motivated to cut back on his food volume).

I would like to agree with you all about the water drinking but really can't . It's a blizzard outside right now, white-out conditions, with a heater running in my office to keep me warm (i'm always so cold when losing weight). But the conditions are SO DRY! I can practically down 2 Litres by noon!

I see everyone is losing very nicely!

Question: do any of you tell people how you are losing weight? I mean, I work in an office with several other women who are also trying to lose weight (or wish to) and they seem very interested in my food choices, although many raise their eyebrows at the little volume of food i eat and the lack of veggies and carbs. (I only eat until I"m no longer hungry now, so it's never much on my plate). I know how some people view these kinds of weight loss diets (so critical), so I try and give as little detail as possible. Anyone do the same?

Has anyone else had dry mouth during this process though. I average at least a gallon of water a day, but it seems I just can't get rid of the dry mouth I get? Any input here or anyone else have the same issue?

Sexyback--

I have a theory on why some women feel the need to criticize other women's choices of diet plans...some are trying to truly be helpful and some are just plain jealous...

Same thing happened to me in 2010 when I first came here and started Stillman's in order to drop a quick 20 pounds. At the time, I was playing on a ladies day league
tennis team and 10 women on my team made comments about how it wasn't healthy (some of the women were nurses even), it wasn't practical and I was just going to get really sick and end up in the hospital...I think some were even afraid that I would actually succeed and then they'd have no excuse...

Well 2 months later and down 20 pounds, everyone changed their tune...

The bottom line is, this diet is safe if you follow it as directed and most people don't have any idea who Dr. Stillman was and the research he did or the people he helped.

What I say to people who ask me now what diet I'm on is this: "I'm on a ketogenic diet that was first introduced by a Dr. Stillman back in the 60's...Google it"

Good luck and hold your head up high and when you've reached your goal then the naysayers will be silenced

Looks like everyone is doing amazingly well, I struggled a bit yesterday, i didnt get to go to work due to the weather and i was bored in the house all day , so i didnt drink as much water as i normally do, and i was craving sweets like crazy, altho i didnt break the diet, i feel that i drank to much Dt dew and pepsi max, to try to subside my cravings, so tehnically i didnt cheat lol, TOM is officially gone, im back at work today which means i will get back to routine so I am expecting big results this weeek!

Congrats on your weight loss so far! AWESOME!
To answer your question above I certainly tell them about it! This is an effective plan and if someone wants my input and info on this plan I will most certainly share it with them. I hate calling it a diet. I tend to get better reaction to sharing this info if I refer to it as a plan. It's funny but true! A lot of it is mindset I believe. If you are not completely focused on this "plan" you will really struggle, especially at first. After the first 3 days it's amazing how you feel! Water, water, water is all I can say!
If they give you a hard time about it, their bad. Sit back and watch them drool over your amazing weight loss.
CONGRATS AGAIN! Nice job so far!

You know what? I tend to agree with you there. I think there is another element as well. I have a friend that is doing something quite similar but with more veggies (HCG is my guess), but she's funny. She posts all her meals on social media (FB) and gets comments every time (her own fault really LOL), from one of her girl friends, who might I add is a body builder and has mucho muscle. She's trying to get my friend to change her diet to what she herself eats (a lot of so called "good carbs" and a calorie count that is upwards of 2000 a day)! I so want to remind her that the more muscle she has the higher BMR she has, so what she eats burns off so much easier. This brings me to my analysis that some people believe that if it worked for them, it should work for everyone, that they are "right" and people doing other things are "wrong". Almost like they want to be your savior and put you on the "right path". hahaha (hmmm, this reminds me of my mother )

(I only eat until I"m no longer hungry now, so it's never much on my plate). I know how some people view these kinds of weight loss diets (so critical), so I try and give as little detail as possible. Anyone do the same?
I've told like two or three people.

I told my army supervisor that I'm being very restrictive (no soy, no wheat, etc) and I was following a proven diet with fast results. I need to pass my HT/WT for the army, so it was more or less just good news for her.

I did tell my personal trainer, and she was very supportive. She only asked a few questions, as in sustainability long term. She already knew I preferred low carb eating, so I just explained it was kind of the same as Atkins, except I'm temporarily eating lower fat/higher protein and it wasn't meant for a life long way of eating. She is somewhat of a fan of paleo/Atkins/high fat diets, so it made sense to her. I told her I'd just transition to an Atkins style diet after I lost the chunk of weight I'm looking to lose.

You know, last night I woke up with dry mouth. I was wondering the same.
