Just checking in for the day. I didn't weigh today, either. It's funny because in the last few attempts at stillmans I had an off plan meal once a week. This time, I am satisfied with what I'm eating so no urges to eat off plan. But, if the urge arises, I may have one off plan meal a week. But for now I'll stick to plan. I've already planned my Easter off plan! I gave up Chocolate for lent, but yesterday purchased a bunch of different varieties of chocolate eggs (peanut butter, caramel, etc). Yes, I will probably end up in a sugar coma lol. But I have awhile until Easter, so plenty of time to lose more and then reward myself on the holiday.

Keep up the good work everyone!

Hello,
I am new to this forum. Ive lost weight this past year carb cycling. I enjoy the way of eating but have been stuck on weight loss since I am not able to exercise currently because of back problems. I am slow losing weight because of PCOS. I am planning on starting stillman on Monday. The lowest I got down to was 138 and that was for a day. I would love to finally get down to my goal weight. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I think the no creamer will be my hardest part I usually have a cup of coffee with coconut creamer which is non fat but does have 1 carb. Im guessing I shoukd try to give that up at least at first especially since weight loss is usually really slow for me.

WTG Junebug! You are ROCKIN IT GIRLIE, GIRL! I love your determination and resolve. "If it ain't workin' I'm ditchin' it!" And, you know what, you are a rock star losing lightning fast. That's how this diet will work for us. Razor focus and determined.

ANONYM, why hurt yourself with stupid chocolate eggs? Seriously, think this through. If you find yourself in a "carb-coma" that is so not beneficial to your mission. Just get all the chocolate CARB FREE recipes and make these. You can enjoy sugar free treats and not kill your ketosis, and induce more insulin havoc! IT IS NOT WORTH IT! NO FOOD IS WORTH MISERY. Sorry for seemingly being the carb police, but trust me, I have been there a billion times and you can succeed to goal without any speed bumps... Easter, Christmas, whatever holiday! DO IT LOW CARB ALL THE WAY! : Why not put your hearts desire on maybe having a thick, juicy Rib-eye Steak with loaded broccoli? Make yourself yummy LC fatty treats for the day and be done with it. You will probably not lose wt for a day or two, but you will not be derailed for a solid week getting the water wt. off and torturing your system to get back into ketosis. We need to CHANGE THE CHANNEL on the comforts of food that are ingrained in our psyches. Ck out Lynda Sue's web site, she has hundreds of LC desserts and such.

I haven't weighed yet as I will tomorrow. I weigh every two weeks. I have lost A LOT I know that for sure! PRAISE GOD! Honestly, I don't know what I love more, ketosis and smooth, easy blood sugar--appetite suppression or the weight that is falling off my bod. U lol Probably the latter.

I have mixed my 90/10 lean ground beef 1 lb. with 85/15 kinda lean meat, half pound and man this keeps me going for hours and hours. The added fat which comes out to 15 grs per burger, is amazing. I found that when I eat this for my dinner I am not hungry all night and sleep great. My fat grams for the day are around 30 or less a day! This is how the fat melts off for me; keeping the fat way down, eating only when I am truly hungry, and doing light exerciser 5-6 days a week. I won't lift weights till I'm close to goal as this really halts my wt. loss.

Happy weekend everyone! Stay strong, motivated and in love with healing your bodies to do great work in this life.

Hugs,
Beth

I actually live in the town where Walking Dead is filmed. I am constantly amazed how so many people are so crazy over it. I have never even seen one episode! LOL!

A smaller loss, 0.4 lbs over 2 days. I took two meds yesterday which can cause water retention, so that might be the culprit! Maybe I can pass 10 lbs lost by tomorrow? That would be so awesome....

Great work everybody!

Welcome, OcularBeauty!
Stillmans can be tough for the first few days. (It is for me.) I advise that you work hard at sticking to plan for the first few days knowing it should get easier. I am to the point where I have no desire (cravings) to eat off plan. I was even able to go to Wendy's yesterday when my family got dinner and only order an unsweetened iced tea. (Victory! Lol) I'm not advising against exercising, but on stills you can lose a lot without exercising at all. (I did the first time.) I can't exercise right now, either. But, I am working on getting back in shape so that I can exercise again, hopefully within the next few months.

Thanks. I know the first few days will be tough. I want to exercise right now so bad. I have been in PT for months. I finally got a diagnosis for my back and have been warned not to do any exercise at this point except walking. Im hoping with the weather getting warmer I can at least start to go for some short walks. I am going to see a pain specialist on Tues to get his opinion. I am still hoping I can get back to exercising with the help of the PT in a few more months. My husband is going to start with me tomorrow also which should help. Ill be checking in. Nine pounds is great. Youll be hitting ten before you know it. Heres keeping my fingers crossed that i do as well.

Hey everyone! Just checking in. I haven't weighed in the last few days since I was off plan. The down side of that is I feel all blocked up. Ugh. Senna tea this morning!

I have an interview at 1pm today. Hoping I get the job. It's not the greatest pay, but they are flexible with scheduling and offer incentives.

So I did the fat fast for the last three days and I lost 4.2 pounds. While that's GREAT news, it doesn't seem like nearly as great of a loss since I gained so much on vacation. But at least I'm moving.

Today I'm back to Stills and I'm plannin on fat fasting again tomarrow. If I can get to 147 by the end of the week...well, that's my plan. I want it. BAD. So thats what I plan to make happen by whatever means nessesary. That said, my period is coming at me. Any day now. I'm overdue and WOW I'm a total Bish. But I'm sorry, so does that count??

WOE: "Primalified" Stillman's, plus JUDDD cycling.
Hey all! I am new here (this is my first post) but I thought I'd pop in. I know March is half over, but ah well...

I started strict (VERY strict) Stillman's on March 13 at 215.8 lbs. I have lost quite a bit of weight already doing general low carb Primal, but I thought I would kick it up a notch since I can maintain endlessly on fatty meat, dairy, and veggies with oils, but cannot LOSE fast enough to keep me motivated as spring approaches.

My plan is Stillman's QWL, with the added restriction of NO artificial sweeteners (from my Primal background) and NO Dairy. Low/no fat dairy does not agree with me. I had some pressed cottage cheese and some yogurt on Thursday and Friday where the ingredients are literally skim milk and bacterial culture, and I immediately got congested and my left eye started itching within 10-15 minutes after eating it. I can have full fat dairy when I am not on Stillman's, and I was hoping to be able to enjoy yogurt and cottage cheese on Stillman's, but alas it was not meant to be.

My main protein sources are fish (cod, haddock, halibut with occasional salmon) and chicken and turkey (50/50 dark meat and white meat) although I will throw in the occasional beef roast or pork tenderloin if I get bored. I have up to 2 eggs per day. I have about a 60/40 or 70/30 protein/fat ratio depending on how many eggs I eat and whether I have dark meat or beef, and I get about 900-1300 calories depending on hunger. Usually in the 1100-1200 calorie range which is very satisfying. I find lower calorie days are typically heavy on fish with limited dark meat. I drink my water religiously, and take a vitamin.

I am half-way through my first week and have experienced 7.3 lbs of loss so far in 4 days! This diet is amazing! So I am now 208.5 and looking forward to hitting the ground running this week! :-)

Well, I can be happy with this I guess. The last three days have been weird with having gone up for no reason. I think now that I see a pattern emerging, I can be more prepared for the couple day stall before the drop.

I am finding though that this time around the weight is coming off much much slower. I'm determined to stay on plan though.

Down another 1.4 lbs! YaY!!! I'm loving stills right now. Practically zero hunger, no cravings, and I'm dropping weight! It's so motivating to be able to step on the scale and see a loss almost every day. I got so frustrated with other diets where losses came soooooo incredibly slowly.

Happy st paddys day everyone!

YUMMY!

I just made THE MOST delicious tuna I've ever put in my mouth. I've been eating chicken and turkey for two solid weeks and wanted to shake it up a bit So I made TUNA SALAD with Greek Yogurt and mustard and I am IN LOVE I SAY! Here is the recipe!

1 can of TUNA in WATER 200 calories. 2.5 gr fat per can
1.5 T FAT FREE GREEK YOGURT
1 Tsp Trader Joes Garlic Mustard
2 Tsp Regular Yellow Mustard TJ's Organic
McCormick Garlic Blend Spices
.5 Tsp Garlic Puree Trader Joes
1 Tsp Ms. Dash Chipotle Spices

It tasted like full fat tuna salad. I made my daughter some with a few drops of Stevia to sweeten it. I could eat this all day long it was that delicious.

How all is going great with you big bunch of LOSERS! :jumpj oy:

OH, ALMOST FORGOT. I WEIGHED IN YESTERDAY AND I LOST 12.3 FOR THE FIRST TWO WEEKS! YIPPY for STILLIES!

Hugs,
Beth

I had the worst stomach pains last night so I am not sure if that had anything to do with taking the senna tea or not, lol. I can tell you that it def kicked in yesterday!

I weighed in today at 173lbs. Not too bad considering I had been bouncing in the 172lb area. Downing lots of water today, and working out.

Hey! Yes I do track my macros this way. I will message you tomorrow! Although I might have to find some alternatives to straight cream cheese, eggs, and avocado. I'm a super picky eater. I've never been able to make myself eat something I don't like more than a few times (or even bites). If given the option, I'd almost rather eat nothing. HA! This is one of my food hang ups. If I don't like it, I won't eat it. I think I'm going to do some online research and try and come up with a FF menu that I can work with. Love fat bombs though. Could eat them all day!

So I said I was back to stills but I added some fat last night. I'm still pretty impressed! I'm back to fat fast today. I kinda feel like I should move this somewhere else. I won't be offended if yall kick me out lol!
I wouldn't worry about it. Stay here! I'm not completely Stills either. It's my guideline though. Frankly, I find this group and our general losses to be much more motivating than some of the other groups "out there" where a month of low carb (and frequent cheating) only nets a loss of a few ounces. Most people choose to try Stills because they need to see the lbs go to stay motivated! You are doing great!

DH is starting to hint that I should be going to the gym. I want to, but I really want to get under 200 before I go. I know it seems silly, but my first major goal is Onederland, and the gym typically stalls me for a good two weeks. I don't think I could take that kind of stall.... Maybe I should go and just sit in the steam room until I hit my first goal! LOL.

Hi Ladies,

I am new here (posted my details yesterday but I think it may have gotten lost) but anyway I am down another 0.5 lb this morning! :-) I am retaining tons of water at the moment, so don't know what my actual loss is, but I am pretty happy to still be posting losses even at this particular time of the month!

March Stats:

March 13 - STARTED STILLMAN'S at 215.8 lbs
March 14 - 213 lbs
March 15 - 212 lbs
March 16 - 210.2 lbs
March 17 - 208.5 lbs
March 18 - 208 lbs

Good luck to everyone weighing in today!

Wow!! I'm awed by your losses. Welcome to the group! What plan were you doing before this? or is this your first week on LC?
