I have finally broken the threshold of 200, but.....i went to the doctor yesterday for my annual, ( which was more like a triannual since i hadnt been in about 3 years), anyway he thinks he found something wrong with my thyroid, and now i have to be tested , he did tell me that it could be related to my stubborn lack of weight loss ...so we shall see , just wanted to share simply cuz i have had such a hard time actually dropping weight and not cheating , so now i am thinkin its not me that there is a reason behind it all. kinda of catch 22, happy that i know its not something im doing, but worried that there could be somethng more serious than just my weight, i will keep ya updated , at this point im waiting on my dates for he testing , wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

Thank you, it does feel good, just because it truly has never been this hard for me to get there lol, i have weighed 190 for so long that i guess it was knda my resting weight so to speak, then i started creeping up over that 200 mark and unable to get under it , it has been an adjustment lol but i hope it continues , maybe i should try yoga

Kandi YOU DID IT!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! Fantastic way to kick off the weekend huh?! And you did it with in your 30 days! I hope health-wise everything is ok. If its your thyroid no doubt thats why you have been struggling. My sister has thyroid issues and a marathon runner, and has the hardest time losing weight! But with the right medication, it can all be resolved. But for now, lets just say, CHEERS TO 198.7!!!!!

So, what do we think about lean hotdogs on stills? I am just wanting something different - I found lean hotdogs that are 60 cal, 3.5g fat, and 1 carb each. Not thinking I would eat these daily, but maybe for lunch sometimes when I just want a change? Anyone else eating hotdogs?

Ughhh , i know that something has got to wrong with me, i am doin everything right, i have cut out so much there really isnt much more i can rid of, its like my body responds and gets comfortable after a day or 2, So i am pretty sure that when I get the testing done on my Thyroid that it should hopefully give me a reason as to why i am so resistant, i think whats even more frustrating i am in deep ketosis according to the stick, and its still not coming off , the only good thing about this is I DIDNT QUIT, but i was expecting better

Oh no Kandi! That's no good. Are you totally low fat? Maybe try a little fats and see if that helps?

I did not have a good weekend. I'm having a hard time keeping my head in the game. I've been holding around 187-188 for about three weeks now, according to my calendar. I'm going to make a new daily weigh in chart- I feel like that was actually keeping me more on track. Even with my workouts, I should weigh in daily. Not doing so is making me more liable to stray, because I'm not seeing the results of no-no's as they happen. My Saturday was fine, but Sunday... well... Sunday is family dinner night in my family. It started with family dinner breakfast with my parents... and then we had Mexican chicken tacos and rice/beans. Granted, we've decided to make family dinner nights more healthful- (low carb tortillas, brown rice, black beans, ect... for awhile there our themed nights were fat fests with big deserts). BUT I feel the bloat today. Plus, there is no way I drank enough water. To make matters a little bit worse- I've been taking an internal cleanser as well. If you eat starchy foods, it can cause bloat/discomfort. Ummmm yeah, that happened!

I went shopping and I am yet again stocked for a nice Stillmans week. Starting daily weigh ins, starting my training program for the half marathon, and keeping up my yoga. I WILL WIN!

I have tried just about everything other than totally cheating, even tho the scale is stubborn, i generally feel better , im not as bloated as i am when consuming carbs, but i really want the scale to reflect my sacrifice , i feel you on the family dinner night, i didnt cheat though, but mmm them tacos sound wonderful, good luck to u

Haha thanks Kandi. Family dinner night is a big production.... my family, sisters family, aunt and uncle gather at my moms to hang out and make delicious food and drink delicious alcohol. Like I said- they ARE getting healthier. But it's hard to resist the food and drink!!!!

Kandi I feel so bad for you, but I am so impressed that you hung in there to the bitter end! Two more days for you, right? At least you cant say you did all 30 days and never cheated, and that should be good info for your doctor too, I would imagine? I know you feel like its just crap that you stuck it out and didnt get better results, BUT...you lost TWELVE pounds, and thats something to be proud of. And, you know you have it in you to do it again, maybe after you get your thyroid taken care of (that little bugger!).

Sarah, your family dinners sound SO FUN! I have been a compete bore when it comes to food, lol - but I refuse to avoid events just because of whats being served. I have a co-workers retirement party this week and I am bringing my own bowl of SF jello. So I can have a treat while everyone else has cake. And not long ago I shamelessly brought a baggy with 1 plain turkey burger to the movie theater, haha! My husband isnt even phased by me doing this sort of thing, but if others ask I nonchalantly say I am avoiding sweets and trying something new with my diet. Nobody seems to pry, or care too much. So if you REALLY want to stick to stillmans, maybe think up the most delicious stillmans legal meal, and save that for your family dinners, and bring it along? I know, not as fun, BUT - its only 30 days

Okay, shooting for the 140 target...that will be 15 pounds, AND, I will no longer be "overweight" on the BMI calculator! Want to hit it by weeks end!

I've been wanting to do this challenge, and haven't yet! I haven't been able to stick to any plan since the holidays, ugh! But, I'm starting tomorrow for sure. I'm preparing today.

I'm prepping some lean meals so I can grab and go. I think that's one of the challenges I've faced that keeps me from sticking to a plan. I'm going to be making ground turkey/chicken meatloaf muffins, baked chicken, and I'm going to hard boil up some eggs. I'm not sure what else to make, but that's a start for the next few days.

Thanks everyone once again, this board has been a big help for me to be able to at least stay committed to the diet if nothing else , I will definitely keep u posted on my situation , i should get my results in about a week or after the tests which is this Thursday at noon, , My 30 will be up tomorrow, but i have to stay somewhat on the same eating plan, i know me and the minimal loss , i will gain that 12 back plus some in a matter of days. Hang in there everyone if i can do it anyone can, and even thiough that is a cliche` I mean it like u wouldnt believe. .

Good morning ladies!

Junebug, there is always a protein I can eat plain but it's a lack of resolve on my behalf. And then I spend 3 days undoing the damage. On goes the cycle!

Today I'm 188. So very tired of 187-188. But I have my new calendar for weigh ins.... and I went on a run this morning.

Kandi, we will press on!

Kandi, maybe track your calories.... maybe you are eating too many? I know that even though I'm 5'10 and athletically built, I had my BRM tested at the hospital and it was WAY low for my age/size ect. Internet calorie calculators don't apply to me. I have to be under 1200 to create enough of a deficit. Maybe while your working on your thyroid, see if your Dr. offers a test like that too? It was really eye opening for me. I'd be on 1500-1600 calories per day and the scale wouldn't budge.... because I was just evening out. And I gain weight extremely easily. Sometimes out bodies work against us!

This is true , and mine seems to get way to comfortable with a pound gone and 3 back on, so its working against me for sure, im honestly lost right now,, it absolutely sucks to know that i am doin everything right and not losing , i am however gonna continue on this journey till i get results and follow up with doctor to see if in fact that could be a reason.

COngrats JuneBug ...ur moving right along

hay girls...I know there is only a few days till March, but I want in. I've been LC and also did some HCG for about 3 years and I've lost 156 pounds! Awesome! But I'm stuck...in fact i've gained and it's not from cheating either! When I got down to my goal I got really relaxed. Still no bread, sugar, potatoes, ext, but I did eat more recipe type stuff and just more veggies and even a lil fruit. And then here I am 25 pounds up from my low

I've been doing 1000 cals a day of lclf foods but I've been stuck for 10 days! I'm also doing t25 right now.

10 day stalls are not ok with me so here I go on Stills today. I know what works!

Question about cottage cheese tho...how much do you have a day?

And just to refresh my memory, I can eat as much lean meat and eggs as I want correct?

My goal is to make it till March. Short term people and then reevaluate.

today 161.6 *sadface*

Thanks Kandi! Slow here, but steady! TOM is looming so I am trying to drink even more water to counter the inevitable retention. Tonight I had a nice steak to up my iron. But it probably had more fat than I should be eating - so tomorrow I am going to stick to chicken in low sodium broth with a bit of dill. I made up a big pot...I will eat it throughout the day.
