Hello everyone! It has been almost 2 years since I've been on here (been in Afghanistan) and I'm so happy ya'll are still keeping this going!! Yay!!!!
I am 145 now from well over 300 and want to get to 115 or 120 and I have a PT assessment coming up for state troopers. Ugh.
To everyone here that's heard "it can't be done" I say we prove them all wrong! I started my QWL Sunday and weighed 152 so down 7 pounds in 3 days eating chicken and shrimp and lean beef and cheese yum! How many people on a diet can say that? I first started losing weight in 2005 after a head on car crash shattered my pelvis and a jacka$$ surgeon told me I was so fat I would need a total hip replacement before I was 30. I was 28 at the time. Hearing that and reading "morbidly massively obese" in my own medical records tore the blinders from my eyes and lit a fire under my behind I can tell you that. 3 years later that same Trauma Orthopeadic Surgeon walked past me without recognition. Today I am about to stuff some skinless chicken breasts with some cheese and lemon pepper and some cayenne pepper and broil it. I hope there are some more recipes for everyone to share and please post your success and trials and tribulations LOL. It helps me to keep on track knowing ya'll are out there too. Happy losing everyone!!!! Stillmaniacs! Or Stillmanians! Strongest people out here and not because we are dieting.... Diets are failures in progress. Stillman's is a program to change your style of eating for life. That's my own opinion at least.

Wow Miss911 - you've done an awesome job, you should be proud. What type of cheese are you using? I'm still in the planning stages, but your chicken and cheese dish sounds delish.

Tricialy, I use a lot of cheeses but have found I stick with semi soft white cheese and my favorite right now is smoked Gouda and Oaxaca cheese. I ended up wrapping some of the chicken in bacon and then topping it with Parmesan cheese for the rest of the family with broiled asparagus to which my nephew (Mac and cheese fanatic) gave me the glowing back handed compliment that "this is good!"

I have been on this board and the Century club since 2006. I have lost at the most 155 pounds from my start of 311 but I have gained slowly over the last few years.

2 weeks ago I went back to my weight loss clinic which is a basic Stilman's diet and said I need to get this off. 11.4 pounds in 2 weeks and I am back at it in full.

So I am up for any help and will also offer any to anyone willing to listen.

I am also looking for anyone who has fitbit and wants to work on a challenge with me and a friend.

Thanks for listening.

Catching up with weather caused cold!

The past few weeks have been harder than I expected due to getting sick with a flu that just keeps hanging on! Argh! Cabin fever set in a week ago but the weather is of course not cooperating so still inside most if not ALL the time, and that means no running, no going to the yoga mat,and no escaping the walls inside the house. Anyone else enduring this?
With being sick and no energy I crashed and slid off the wagon. But decided to drag my butt back on today and did very well I think. The scales will tell their truth anyway in the morning. After being in Afghanistan for so long I forgot what it was like not getting up everyday and going to work for 12 hours a day and boredom is now my greatest enemy I have found. But the weather looks to be clearing here soon and I can't wait to get outside and run a few miles and wash my car and go strolling down the aisles at the store for new food ideas. Tonight I fixed smoked turkey in a cheese sauce with prosciutto and mushrooms topped with Asiago cheese browned in the oven for a decadent dinner. And of course my eyeballs were bigger than my stomach so leftovers for tomorrow
I picked most of the mushrooms off but I do admit to eating some as I do love mushrooms, and cheese, and having them together is perfect! But more discipline is on the way.
I am wondering if anyone else stays on the vigilant watch not of the scales but of clothes fitting better or worse as a measure of the program working for them? Yes I weigh almost every day but I also find more satisfaction and gratification when a tight pair of jeans is suddenly looser or I feel like I look better in them..... Is that just a "me-ism" or does anyone else feel that way?
Well I am off to prepare my shopping wish list and I wish everyone a warm nights sleep and success with the scale in the morning! TTFN
