Hi, kandi. Nice recovery. You will find women can easily fluctuate 15 pounds of water weight with the addition of carbs. You will take it off quickly and be on to new numbers in n time.

kandi313! Way to go. Your body must love low carb/ketosis. (Mine too). I just stay low carb and plenty of protein - because i feel SO much better. You will get your weight down very quickly. So happy to meet you and have you here.

cici52: you are so right on the 15 pound flucutation and for me medicenes can also do that. 2 years ago in Feb. - I had oral surgury and the surgeon gave me a prescription for pergoset and a tylenol/codiene combo. In one week I was up 15 pounds.

the wolf of wall street movie was great. lots of fun yesterday. i'm also blond again, got rid of all the low lights and dark roots. my mol invited us for dinner and everything went good.

so yesterday was good with the food. i tried to not eat that much. Chicken Eggs and liquid protein shake. it was raining yesterday, so we didn't do too much except go to costco for a few things and do some shopping for my MIL. Tomorrow i work until noon, and then off for Wed, - so another mini holiday around the corner. i got tickets for the american hustler movie for Wed morning (new years day). i heard the jennifer lawrence might be up for an oscar in that movie. also the other movie that is suppose to be in the running for an oscar is the coen brother's movie, called Inside Llewyn Davis. will be swimming this morning.

Starting this week right...up at 5:45 am to get going on my busy day. Breakfast was chicken breast with mustard and coffee with scant sugar free creamer.
We had people over for drinks Saturday night and I drank wine...up 1.8 pounds today...water bloat. That will teach me. No more alcohol until I get the weight off.

larcana, way to get a great start on the day!

i swam, kept the weight down. had a protein shake, low fat cheese and egg whites so far today. i was so happy at the gym today, because someone that has a great figure asked me how i stay so slim. she was up 4 pound from the holidays. i told her to eat her low fat protein-it works! i finally feel like my old self is emerging, i was afraid i had ruined my body for life.

Just peeking in on everyone. Sorry I have not been around. Life has took me for a bit of a ride the last couple of months. I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas. I have not been on plan at all but I have not been too terrible with my eating. I think I am going to start Jan 1st and see if I can stay on all month with no cheats. I have vacation in April and would like to drop as much as possible before then.

I'm with you Ashley! My issue has been that in trying to get down 5 lbs to my ideal weight, I've become a binge eater (with carbs!) and have actually been gaining.

I know that I feel (and lose) best on pure protein, and I need to get back to it. I'm starting today and plan for a binge-free January--one day at a time.

I find that after a week, my body seems to crave some fat, so I'm planning on "fat Sundays' where I do more traditional Atkins that day by adding some fat to my protein. That's worked well for me in the past.

That is a good idea. I may steal your plan. Maybe if I allow some higher fat on one day a week it will be easier to stay strict on the other 6. I have been so wishy washy with my weight loss for so many years. I am really hoping 2014 is my year to lose my weight.

YES, CC - IT'S FINALLY HERE! 2014 IS GOING TO BE LOTS OF FUN AND A GREAT GREAT YEAR ALL AROUND.!!

I went down by .25 pounds yesterday, so I'm almost there. An additional 1 or 1.5 pounds for these skinny jeans to be a tad more comfortable. I usually have to loose inch by inch, rather than whooshes.

Have we started a new thread yet? How about something like "In with a BANG" or "let the greatness begin".

ideas?
