Just checking in to let you know I am pain free today! WooHoo!

Ate a turkey burger and hard boiled egg today. Also, my ginger tea.

I measured this morning and I'm the same as last week. Not to worry. I'm feeling better and feel more in control of myself since starting Stillman's two weeks ago. I'd like to make it to this weekend for my hubby's birthday... might splurge a bit, but back to the basics again so I don't regain what I've already lost.

Weight issues seem to be lifelong... like low carbs for life. Some of us were not made to eat carbs... too bad I enjoy our great Mexican food in the Southwest to stay away from it forever.

Have any of you tried or alternated with the "Fast Diet"? That seems pretty doable for me, but in order to go into ketosis, I believe it usually takes about three days.

It is a balmy day here today with lots of sunshine and highs in the 70s. Couldn't ask for better weather. That's why we've chosen to live here.

Have a Super Successful Day everyone!

HELP ME!!!

OMGOODNESS, I NEED HELP HERE!

I just cannot seem to stay the course and especially with these silly FOOD HOLIDAYS! JEEPERS! I cannot stop eating Pecan Pie, wine, fruit cake, Pannetone, chips and dip and xmas cookies, chocolate. Yes, I only eat a little at a time but I am stopped dead in my tracks and feel defeated!!! I need to lose 12-15 so I can fit into my clothing again. I have all size 2, 4 and I refuse to buy new clothes so they just sit in my closet month after month.

HELP ME somebody! If I really stayed the course, I could be in my jeans on NYEve I need accountability and encouragement.

So glad to see everyone is doing so great. I adore Stillmans as it getzer done so fast!

Hugs,
B

Oooh, look, B is posting porn! LOL

All I can say is hang a pair of those size 2 jeans outside the fridge, pantry, and wherever else the fattening foods are stored!

You can do it. I have faith in you!

mariad: your old boss was 100% right. I also know a guy from the gym that told me for the first time about an all meat diet. he and i were both die hard gym people, but I noticed he was so much more focused than others at the gym, and in really rock solid shape. i finally asked him was his diet was and he said meat and water. He is still doing that - and still looks great after about 15 years.

CC: so happy you are solid in this eating. i was worried, but now I'm not at all!! Go Girl. it is the very best way of all.

We had a good bye lunch for a co-worker at a restaurant today. i ordered octopus for my antipasto and chicken paillard for my entree. i feel great! my lunch was the largest and i was the skinniest. everyone laughed when they say how huge my chicken platter was, but i was so happy - because i knew i could eat every bite of it and still feel great at the end.

B: eat your protein for one full day, then see how you feel. it will get you started on the right track, then you fall into the all protein plan very easily following those first couple days. day two will be easier, & day 3 you should be groovin and your body will just ask for more protein and not all the other stuff that makes you so sick. You know what it's like to feel good, so let yourself be healthy. Stop the snacking, throw away all the junk food in your house and load the fridge with your protein choices.

Shreem, it's just so easy, simple to stay legal. Oh, surre, I have cheese now and then, sneak a bite of toast, but once you go paleo you don't want the bad stuff. And it never tastes as good as you remember so it's a big letdown anyway.

Nice going on the restaurant meal, that satisfaction about your food on plan is one more step to paloe bliss!

cc: you are right. it's getting better. even though i feel so much better eating plenty of meat each day, it is so ingrained in me to pick eggs, cheese, yogurt and satisfy my mental vegetarian ways. But I'm getting results now with the meat and i'm staying the course.

Maria: you are doing so well with the ketosis. great job! The jeans being looser is what matters, i think the scale will follow. Inches lost is more important.

Foxylady: so happy you are recovering. Back pain is not fun.

Pam: how are you doing. Staying out of that stall?

cici: dust yourself off and start eating your protein. Getting back on the wagon right away is the best way to do it.

Shreem, I have been working odd hours and sleeping off hours so haven't weighed in days. I plan to get my regular hours back on track tonight and tomorrow. I will check in the morning, but stall or no stall I am still going strong. We had a meal out last night and I ate Atkins and was fine. DH on the other hand ordered a GIANT dessert. I just rolled my eyes and drank my water.

Night all!

Well, the scale was down .2 lbs this morning even with TOM arriving! I am so glad my ridiculous schedule is over and I can get back to sleeping a normal time. My entire body is sore from my marathon work schedule the early part of this week. Slept till 10 AM this morning though!

Finally weighed this morning. Down - 13.0# in 16 days... in Onederland! Yipee!
Also measured. Total inches lost so far was over 14", chest, waist, hips, arm, thighs, calf.

Went to a Christmas luncheon yesterday and only drank two glasses of Diet Pepsi. Did not touch a morsel! My goal is to make it to Saturday for my DH's birthday. We'll see if I decide to eat pie/cake whatever we have. Maybe, maybe not. Maybe a bite. Then I'm pretty much off Stillman's til after the first of the year.

I'm happy with the progress and that I've been able to resist all the holiday goodies/parties so far!

THANK YOU, all for your encouragement!

OMGOODNESS, this has been so difficult for me to remain on the straight and narrow. I know this works lightning fast as I know how amazingly easy it gets. The first time I did Stills, I got so skinny so fast that I was amazed at how great this diet worked. WHY CAN'T I DO IT NOW!? Maybe I have too much on my plate, I just have this defeatist attitude for some reason. ARGH, Plus the holidays make it so crazy hard.

I have 2 days in the hole and I'm feeling better. I was a slughish braindead yesterday so by tomorrow, I'll be on Low Carb Crack for sure. I adore the energy I get when Ketosis, my bestie, kicks in!

SKINNY JEANS, HERE I COME GOSH DARN IT!

Thanks for helping me!

HUGS,
Beth

MARIAD!!! OMG! I AM SO SORRY ALL THIS HAS HAPPENED TO YOU THIS WEEK LORD HOW TERRIBLE FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!

I wanna give you a big hug and I don't even know you... Bless your heart! I hope those Ciders did the trick. Sometimes we need a bit of cheer and to relax. It won't kill your diet. Jump right back on the wagon and you'll be great!

I'll be praying for you, dear heart!

Blessings!

so my numbers looked good at the end of the day.
protein: 131 grams
carbs: 12 grams
fat: 18.5
calories: 810

the kinds of foods? Well lots of chicken breast of course, a couple egg whites and (this is the bad) 2 pure protein bars. I've been getting them for my husband and I know that I love them, so had a bite this morning. then I ate the whole thing. Then chicken breast after that. Small serving of chicken breast & 2 eggs whites at lunch. chicken breast when I got home, and then I went to the store for another pure protein bar. At least the calories are low for the day and at least those bars are mainly protein - but they are not meat & and I did feel guilty eating them. I will see how I feel in the morning. not a good habit to start.

Mariad: i just saw your post . So sorry for all those troubles at one time. I pray you will continue to be protected from harms ways, and say thank you that both you and your mother were not in that house. continue your low carb, it really helps keep the emotions stable and you need to be strong and steady right now.

foxylady: yahoo! keep the scale moving. so happy for you. 13 pounds in one day is fantastic!

Larcana: stay away from the treats. people will try to tempt you. much better to feel great later in the day or the next day. that is enough of a treat.

Thank you for the kind words, its difficult as I liv in Spain and my Mum lives in the UK as well as my little brother and his family, all locks changed and house secure as much as we can,Mum doesnt know as could set her back, she is totally aware of what goes on and is forming words more fluently every day, even laughing and joking in her own way, she'll never go back home as shes paralysed down her right side, but is still her happy chirpy self most of the time, the police are not doing much tbh . Anyway, good news, kebaba and cider ran away from m this morning so weghed in at 75.5 today, not a massive loss but its ok,not in ketosis,so no stick to frame today lol, jumping back on it untill Xmas day, although i have to hide te Baileys as its too tempting, cath up later and once again, thank you for keeping me in your prayers and thoughts xxxxxx

Hey guys! I haven't checked in lately but I just wanted to say I am still around, just been busy. This week was my last week of college classes, and I had some interviews for jobs. I got one of my old jobs back, but I'm still waiting for a third interview for one job I really want, which won't be until after the New Year. Because of stress, I was off plan for 3 or four days, but I've been back on for a few days and I'm at a new low of 178.7lbs this morning. Needless to say, I've been bouncing in the 179-180lb range for a few weeks now so hoping to blow past the 170's a bit faster these days.

Pawp, Foxy, WTG

Mariad, so sorry to hear about your Mum, prayers your way.

still feeling like crap, I'm starting my third week of antibiotics for this sinusitis/sinus infection. I read in the UK a four to six week regimen of antibiotics is standard. This go back to the doc every two weeks over here is just a revenue generator. Such BS.

So let's all keep positive and have a blessed night. {{{{{{{{{{hugs all around}}}}}}}}}}

i was made this way: you are doing awesome with your new low. I go down ounce by ounce it seems, until then i lock into that next lower pound and then start again. start diligent and one pound at a time!

CC: hopefully this next round of antibiotics will get rid of your infection. must have been really bad. i think the 4-6 weeks is sometimes needed for sure! take some probiotics - i get them in capsules that also include enzymes from the health food store.

yesterday's eating was good. chicken, 1piece cheese, egg white (1protein bar at work). worked very late, so glad i had the protein bar (4 net carbs), as it held me over and i didn't need to snack or eat anything until i got home last night. ate some chicken and eggs when i got home, but didn't over do it.

feel a little tired today, and have a busy weekend scheduled (family stuff). i have a very demanding MIL-so really dreading that. have not got this relationship handled yet.

Maria, your evening sounds divine!

Hoping the rain melts the mountain of snow that slid off of my roof in front of the entrance

Today is hunter gatherer day, wondering what to wear in the rain but happy it's mild and no snow. Have a great day y'all!!!!!!!

well, yesterday's scale was a blow out. Up 3 pounds, after what i thought was a great week. but our car was in the shoppe for 4 days tues-friday andi was not able to swim or weigh for four days. i really can not tell by sight or feel if i'm at goal. even someone at work started harassing me, telling me to eat. so i started thinking i must be too thin. what a shock when i got on the scales and i was up 3 pounds just over night. this is what my body does. so frustrating. i did have those protein bars - and that was something new. i was also eating a lot more chicken breast than usual - so i think i will have to slow down on both of those. i have run across a handful of people on these forums that say they have to go both low carb and low calories to keep the weight off. i think i am one of them. in college I shot up by about 20-30 pounds, so i dieted really hard and got the weight off. i kept it off my entire adult life with restricted eating. then i got married for the first time 5 years ago and my weight went up 9 pounds. i used atkins and was able to get the first 4 pounds off, but had to practice very restricted eating for the last 5. so this three will have to be very low carb and low calories together. I can do it.

so now today I get back on the scale and swim. I'm down 2 pounds. go figure. I really can't figure this all out - but at least i'm one pound from goal. it's maddening.
