Alcohol & Stillman's

I know it's off limits but has anyone done Stillman's with a moderate consumption of alcohol? I'm ok with sticking with rum and diet cokes with little/no carbs but I do like to have a cocktail once a week or so...

Well, in the stillman's 14 day shapeup plan it's ok to have an occasion drink as long as it's not sweet. I myself like to have a glass of Moscato or red wine after dinner but have been keeping my distance since starting stillman's. I hope that helps.

Even though alcohol says it has minimal carbs, this isn't true. Once the body metabolizes the alcohol it gets turned into a form of sugar which the body can use for fuel. This fuel is called, "empty calories" as it has no nutrients. Alcohol basically goes to our livers and there it is then converted to this sugar, once its converted into sugar, then this sugar undergoes more transformation and is subsequently turned into triglycerides/ fats for strorage.

So, if you want to drink, you DON'T want to lose wt. rapidly. If you cannot stop drinking for whatever reason, please seek help as alcohol dependency is progressive and the damage that you can do to yourself and others is devestating.

I hope this helps. Much blessings as you find your way

Hugs,
Beth
