Hello everyone! It is so good to see everyone moving right along. Congrats ladybess76 for your overnight success; I know all to well the fierce grip of the cravings monster.

I have been fighting cravings and bouts of self pity. I get discouraged so easily when the scale doesn't move. I have really been trying to get my mind off the numbers, but it feel as though the hardworking is not paying off....so the vicious cycle of over indulgence begins and then I feel even worse. I am currently trying to rebound from a three pound gain. I don't want to keep teetering my way through this month. I had a goal for the month of getting to 175lbs. Not sure how that will work out with almost 19 days gone by already.

Currently, I am 182lbs from beginning weight of 198 lbs. It seems as though the closer I get to moving from the eighties the more I want to indulge in the not so good for me foods. I need to get over this self destructive behavior. Any suggestions as to how I can self motivate and make myself refocus when temptation and self destructive behaviors emerge? Any advice you wish to share would be greatly appreciated.

Good releases to you all!!

Good morning. Well, it is morning. Between my dogs and trying to decide if I want to trade my car in today, I can't sleep! I decided to quit torturing everyone and just get up. Good news? I am down another pound. I seriously hope this continues.

I hope you all slept better than I did, and I hope I get to take a nap at some point today. LOL

Yes I am up early too! Figure I can catch a nap early afternoon if need be but wasnt lucky scale barely moved but it was in the right direction! I get up and all the animals think its time for them to get up too, I feel like the pied piper and they are loud too, let everyone out for duties they seemed shocked it was still dark. Let them in a few minutes later and the buggers all run back to bed.

Felt much better after adding that bit of mayo to my tuna yesterday, it was time for a bit of fat. Hands a bit swollen this morn so some salt got me hmmm oh nevermind I just remembered the celery salt in the tuna. Wow I can really tell the little things these days, will push water again to flush that salt might even see a whoosh tomorrow then now that I know I am retaining, If I can stay out of the celery salt!

Good mornin' hope the whoosh fairy stopped for all of you!

The exact thing happened here as well. Usually one of them will at least stay in here and cuddle with me, but today they all went back to bed. Brats.

Yes so here I am still, everyone snoring and I am reading old stillmans threads. Some great weight loss on those old threads, reading March of '10 now. I find them inspirational. I can hear the dog on my bed snoring from here my office desk. I gotta learn how to do the quote thing. Think I will try in a bit after more coffee.

I own a little Pontiac Solstice Convertible. I never get to drive it. My driveway sucks and you have to back out and it is just terrifying in that little car. I can't see for sure if something is coming. I have almost been hit twice. I literally haven't put a 1,000 miles on it this past year. It is just a waste. Someone who can drive it should have it.

I am working on trading straight out for a Dodge Caliber. KBB has them about even in value. ($1,000 more for the Caliber.) I will get way more use out of the Dodge and the dogs can ride in it.

whatever makes you and your dogs the most happy, sounds like the best car to me!

yes, CC, so.....happy to be back here. so nice to be surrounded by people eating their protein and either getting or staying lean. For me, this the only way to eat. i had 1 egg and chicken breast for breakfast. Snacking before during after lunch on turkey breast. drinking some diet coke (which i love dr. stillman for allowing). maintaining, swimming 4-5 days a week before work. walking my dogs everyday (two tiny poodles, so the speed could be faster, but we are still moving and putting the time in outside).

All three of my mutts love to ride. Well, two of them love to ride and one doesn't care as long as she is with me. They are all sleeping on the couch now. I made the offer to the used car guy and he had to check with his "manager" who isn't in today. He said he would try to get back to me today, but I am not worried. The offer I made was about $1,000 less than I am willing to do. So even if they come up $500 it will be fine.

I just made an awesome soup. I had some chicken tenders left over that I am tired of eating. I chopped those up and threw them in a pot with some fat free chicken broth and some extra seasonings. Once it was up to a boil I added in some whipped eggs. It is really filling. The whole pot is six eggs and six chicken tenders and broth so we are going to eat on it the rest of the day.

I want to join you!

Hi All,

I was at the chiropractor the other day (Oct 18, 2013) and weighed in at 258 at 5'6".
I ordered some of Dr Stillman's books and hope to make some serious progress.

This is exactly why I don't weigh daily...
Ok, so Friday ( day 5 I believe) I decided to weigh myself. I'd stuck to plan, was peeing non stop (a sign of losing for me) even waking up to 4 times in the night to go. I was sure I had lost weight. Stomach was less bloated and I just felt and still feel generally lighter. Hopped on the fit board and I was only down by 1 pound? I can not tell you how upset this made me. I know this diet inside out, I know it works for me and I know that after the first 5 days I have always managed to drop at least 5lbs. The next day, after another night of waking 3 or 4 times just to use the toilet I jumped on the scale and saw it go down by 2, so a total loss of 3 in 6 days. Not great for me but I was glad to see things were moving in the right direction. I continued peeing a ridiculous amount throughout the day and all through the night....jumped on the scale this morning and I'm up 1lb. I am seriously pissed! If I don't make my goal or at least come close I won't attend the event that I am desperately trying to fit into a gown for. Some of you may not understand that but that is just the way it is. I won't go if I'm over weight. 2lb in 7 days is not great for me. Stillman's has always done what it claims to do where my past losses are concerned. I can only hope it has something to do with all this peeing which is still continuing. Maybe my body is still holding on to large amounts of water despite the fact I'm going a lot. I've been four times in the last hour! I'm not worried about diabetes as the issue started on beginning the diet. It has always happened in the past but not for as many days and of course in the past I would be losing a fair bit of weight too. Am I ranting?!

One thing I found out earlier is that my turkey breast mince (think you guys call it ground) has carbs?!! I only ate this yesterday so it is not the cause of my slow losses. Anyway, I was shocked!! It's a reputable supermarket pre packed decent quality fresh meat. It has nearly 5 carbs per 500 grams. I can't see anywhere on the container where it says anything was added. Does turkey breast have carbs that I am unaware of?

It has less than 1g per 100g but maybe they just round it up so it becomes 5g per 100g. As in a new law or sthg!! Dunno why tho. Sounds stupid even as I write it!!!!!!!

I've not heard of the one before? Will look it up. I'm worried to exercise now, in case that increases the stalls or slows losses. Ugh!
