Stillmans in September?
 
Hi all.
I have been practising if you will on the Stillmans's plan and seeing what works and what doesn't as far as recipes and hunger go.

We have a lot of social events this last summer weekend with company and I will not be on Stillmans.

I recruited my mom and for warned hubby that for the month of Sept., no drinking and limited social outings as I need the days to be clean eats.

Anytime interested in coming along for the ride?

I will eat via Atkins if we go out but otherwise, Stillmans ALL with a wee bit of sour cream and laughing cow cheese. I also will use salsa and spices.

Would love some company. I do not weigh daily anymore. But will log my foods and post often.

As far as exercise, I have a Sept goal 30 miles of walking. Very moderate. Too much makes me hungry.

Hope to have some cyber friends along for the journey.

Me!!! I've been "practicing" too and am ready to commit for the month of September!

I'll probably need to scale back my exercise. Maybe just some walking and Physique 57 workouts.

Yeah! I am working on my plan. And will shop Friday to be prepared for Tuesday.

I would love to join you. Been playing with keto diet for this last week and feeling great but my birthday is in 7 weeks and would like to lose as much as I can by then. Wishing all of us success.

OK! I'm in!
I have been doing a very strict Atkins the last few weeks, however I'm not sure how much weight I've lost. When I started, I knew it was bad based on the fact I couldn't get into most of my clothes, and I didn't want to see the number. :sad:

When I finally had the courage to step on the scale I was 212. So, I am guessing I was around 220. I generally lose about 8 pounds those first few weeks.

I am very motivated to get this weight off, as I am SO uncomfortable. So, I started Stillman's Monday at 209. I really didn't think this was going to work as I have been eating very clean. So, I was shocked this morning to be 206! :jumpjoy:
I'm a believer!
I can't wait to get below that 200 mark.

Today I'm eating
B: 2 hard boiled eggs
L: Roasted Chicken
D: hamburger patty

I have been drinking lots of water. My weakness is diet coke. I drink WAY too much. I mean WAY too much. I hope to really cut back in the next few weeks.

One day at a time.

Me too! It'd be nice to do a full month of clean eating. It'll prolly be a mix of M&E fat levels and Stillmans for me though. I've been following the threads here, especially the "21 days" one and you are all very inspiring! I have some salad stuff I need to finish up before the 1st. :) Woowho!

I will be back on Stillmans starting 1st September, my eating has been all over the place recently. I lost 10lb's in August but have put a bit back on since then and need to get back on track. I am looking forward to seeing the scale go down again.

I will be doing pure stillmans - lean protein & eggs only, I know that this works the best and the quickest :D

:hiya: Hi also to Kitty, Time2, Phase, Anonny, Wish2B, Kiley and everyone else coming aboard. Good luck on your woes, whether mixed or Stills or other LC. Congrats on losses, hope all are doing well.

I lost just over half a pound this week, but (my excuse and sticking to it, lol) got body swelling from heat here in TX, happens at least once or twice in summer and arthritis in knee causes more.), so that stalls me in weight loss every time. Kept with my LC plan, over ate a few fried things, another contributor and didn't exercise as much. Thar, did my confessions for the month. Now back on the ball, health and heat spell better, so will post as usual my weight loss on Wednesdays. Hope every one continues losing and feeling better. :hugs:Mae

Anybody having 0% fage greek yogurt on Stillman's? I need a quick and easy menu this month now that I am teaching again. I was thinking of having 0% fat greek yogurt for breakfast, boiled eggs for lunch, and very lean beef for dinner.

Welcome, Lbecker. :hiya:I haven't tried fage yogurt. I don't suppose it would hurt. Your menu sounds good. I try to prepare meals for the week, like bake a chicken and divide it up for meals. Make some quiche ahead of time. Prepare some hamburger patties, or steakuums. Cheese blocks or cottage cheese to take with you. Bacon bits are good too with an egg smash. Cream cheese rolled up in ham slices. Hope that helps. Look at some of the older threads. Good luck to you. Mae

I love Stillman's it is simple and it works wonders.

I still can't believe it. I've decided this is definitely not sustainable for me. So, I think I am going to have to have an Atkins day, once a week. Maybe Sunday dinner. But seeing the scale move down everyday, certainly motivates me to keep at it.

I have had a slight headache the last few days. Drinking LOTS of water, and of course my diet coke, so I don't think I'm dehydrated. I also noticed that my legs felt a little achy this morning, and I can tell I need some potassium. Took a multivitamin this morning. Hope that's enough to prevent leg cramps tonight. Do most of you take supplements?

D: grilled chicken

Eggs, chickens (whole. I make broth to sip and use. 15 calories a cup),steak, steakums, clean deli meat, ground turkey, sour cream,salsa,laughing cow light, cucumber,lemon, mint to make spa water. Bacon: Turkey.

What else?

My supplements include:
Multivitamin
Vitamin D
Vitamin C (powder - mix w/ water)
Biotin
CoQ10
Kelp
Natural Calm (before bed)

I also drink a green 'superfoods' drink in the AM ... it's only like 25 calories, 1 carb, and TONS of beneficial nutrients, like wheat grass, spirulina, chlorella, etc. And it actually tastes not too bad--sweetened w/ stevia.

Also on hand and consumed if necessary: a "colon cleanse" type of supplement (all natural) and metamucil.

Oh, and I drink green tea like it's going out of style--and have dandelion root tea a few times a week, too (both natural diuretics).
