Been a year.....

I am trying stillmans again, I lost weight on it last time just had trouble sticking to it. I have to try again, I feel so lousy. Weighed tonight at 336. Seriously what is wrong with a person that allows their self to get this large?? :dunno:

I know it's easy to say but don't beat yourself up about it we are all in the same boat, getting 'this large' creeps up on you usually for emotional reasons!

You've made the first positive step by getting back on the horse so to speak!

Good luck hun x

Hi reptogirl! I'm sorry you are feeling so down. You have asked a question that a lot of us ask. Please don't beat yourself up. If you want company, come join the May thread. You will find support and you will know that you are not alone.

Thanks :) well I am sipping on my water. I have been wanting to eliminate gluten from my diet to see if it helps with some of my problems, chronic headaches, angry, aniexty, nervousness, irriatablity, extreme tiredness after meals, depression and just a general lack of caring and motivation. And since this diet eliminates gluten(at least I think it does-let me know if there is something I am missing!) gonna put my best effort in it.

It sneaks up on you. Really it does. One day everything is fine, you know you're overweight but you are handling it. The next you notice that your butt got huge and you got a belly and things jiggle that shouldn't! It happens so easily.

At least that is how it happened with me.

Still drinking water, I only have 30 ounces down, just poured my next 10 ounce glass, probably will not get the 80 ounces down. My cravings are terrible right now, this would happen to me when I was a teenager and would do Atkins , I crave peanut butter!! It's something that I normal don't eat and don't really care for, something about low carbs make me want it bad!!!! I can't give in, I will find An inner strength and it will get easier!!! I think coming here and just blabbing away helps some. Sucks we have chocolate in the house, can't get rid of it 3 other ppl live here so it's just something I will have to put on my big girl panties(how appropriate haha) and get over. I have one of my headaches, that I have pretty much daily, I am hoping they will go away with eliminating gluten. I have had two cans of tuna today, I don't particularly like eggs but I will probably have some later.

reptogirl - hang in there! The first few days are hard but you can do it! You are worth the effort!

reptogirl 05-11-2013 02:22 PM

The first few days are miserable and I know people say to skip the cottage cheese and the fat free cheese etc...but I don't think I can make it without them. All I can do is the best that I can do, I guess I cant judge how well I do or the foods I can get rid of based on what someone else can do. It's my own journey, I have been overweight since I was around 10, so almost 24 years of bad habits and low self esteem will not correct itself overnight, or even in a month or two. With stillmans being so hard my first goal is to stay on plan for a week, that might not sound like much, but it is huge to me. I won't set number goals because there are so many factor involved with your weight: salt, water, Tom, stubbornness etc, but being on plan for a week is something that I can control!

Well guys, it's only been two days and I am switching to juddd, I figure with the amount of weight I need to lose stillmans is not practical for me, I think it's great for someone that has smaller amounts to lose, or to break a stall etc.... Best of luck to everyone and kudos to your willpower

Mim 05-12-2013 05:19 AM

Good luck with whatever plan you choose. Stillmans actually is good for those of us who have lots of weight to lose. But it is not the plan for everyone. Take good care of yourself and pop in now and again to tell us how you are doing!
