I just want to add, many studies have found a strong correlation between gluten intolerance and the progression of autoimmune disease. I'm not a doctor so I can't give medical advice, but you may want to give eating gluten-free diet a try and see what happens with your antibody numbers after a few months.

I have been working on that. However, I just noticed that my chicken burgers have wheat in them and I wrote to the farm that produced the turkey burgers I bought to ask them what is in them.

As for my antibody numbers, I don't have a clue what they are. I see my MS specialist once a year unless I have problems and I haven't had problems for years.

Every year I make cookies for the doctor and nurses. This year they are getting cookies made with chickpeas, flax, peanut butter and protein powder. I search for the strangest recipes!

This day cannot end FAST enough! Such an emotionally draining HORRIFIC day. I am so happy that I married my ROCK of a husband. He really is such a great man.

I wanted to cheat so much today! I turned to the salad again. I ate and entire bag of romaine lettuce in a mixing bowl with my same toppings! the crunch and the MASS of lettuce makes me feel like I'm eating a LOT and I feel so much better!

I want to make it to May 4 or 5 with NO CHEATS! I sing this weekend so I hope I can hold out!

I hope I hear soon too. I have been waiting for almost a year.

XLNT! my BFF went through a huge deal at 30, cheated on DH, then her BFF at the time ratted her out, huge blowups, divorce, etc. And now at 40 she's doing it again.

Good Wednesday morning! Yesterday I drove 4 hours to Toledo with the grand girls, met my dd, had lunch and drove back. I am going to take it easy today! And I'm going to be on plan! I'm going to throw out all the extra food I had for the girls. It isn't much - they don't get a lot of candy/cookies etc. But I like to have a bit of a special treat for them every now and again.

bcbrown - I eat gluten free. And I eat organic when it is possible, but like you - budget considerations make it difficult/impossible to eat only organic. But gluten free is very doable.

Turan - I was listening to an interview on NPR yesterday - the interviewee was a woman who sings opera. She recently sang at the Met. Anyway, she was talking about her career path and I was thinking about you! I know you have worked hard to get where you are.

I'm so tired. I am looking forward to next week when I will have had a week of on plan eating and so will feel good again. Now, if I could just get rid of the cough!

Down .6 today. I think the hormones are starting to act up. I have been thinking about chocolate a lot today and I want to eat! I am not hungry, I just want to graze. lol I am going to do my best to just stay on track.
Today is the start of week 3. I haven't done this well on plan for a long time. I do not want to mess it up.

You can do it! I have some romaine and a couple cans of progresso lite soup in the kitchen just encase my hormones get the best of me.

lol I have to sneak things in the trash. My husband is a packrat. Once her own something he will not let it go no matter what. Drives me insane.

Take care! Rest when your body tells you to. It is getting over some nasty stuff. You sound like you enjoy having your grand-kids with you.
My kids love to go to grandmas for a week every summer. My daughter comes home 3 pound heavier every time. Their grandma loves loves loves to feed them goodies. Last year my son called to let me know about the peanut butter, M&Ms, and marshmallow sandwich he had for lunch. We told her this year that goodies are OK but in moderation. I laugh to my husband and tell him that is what grandmas are for.

I agree gluten free is very doable. I cringe though when I see people buying the gluten free products then wondering why they aren't losing weight. Look at the carbs! I am basically wheat free - except for my chicken and more than likely turkey burgers! Once I eat those I will be able to cut wheat out entirely.

I hope your energy comes back. I am rooting for you.

I think there is a bad gene in my branch of the family with the health problems my father, brother and I have. I am helping to stop it, so is my brother. I have also never had the ticking clock. I am better off without children. Does the world really want more than one of me?

LOL bc, after my folks divorced I promised myself at the age of nine that I would never subject a child to the pain and suffering I had to deal with. At NINE. Little did I know.........'That's what life is all about: loss.' Gene Hackman as Wyatt Erap's father in 'Wyatt Earp' starring Kevin Costner.

I don't see as a loss, do you? I think that there are more than enough people having numerous children in our society. They can make up for me not having one!

My favourite movie concerning Wyatt is Tombstone with Val Kilmer and Kurt Russell and Sam Elliot.

I haven't actually made any progress weight wise the last few days as I've been completely swamped with work and various other obligations, but I'm not giving up by any means. I've just completed a major assignment and should have a few days' grace before I start up again, so tomorrow I plan to hit the gym hard and lay off the darn goat's cheese!

agree the Tombstone is our favourite, the parallells between Wyatt and Josie and me and DH are mind blowing........14 yrs apart....it's our favourite and we had a Tomstone themed wedding.

I will always wonder what having kids would have been like.

anything other than meat bloats me to death. Seriously, one bite of celery or onion and an hour later I look pregnant.

Good Thursday morning! Yeah Turan! Don't you love loose clothes!

CC - we tend to wonder what it would have been like to do something different, make a different choice. You know the poem - two roads diverged in a yellow wood and sorry I could not travel both................

paleo and bc - many of us are "kinda" doing stillmans but tweak it to make it liveable for us. I'm glad you are staying with us!

I had my first day back on plan yesterday. I still feel horrible, but psychologically better for being back on plan!

try taking probiotics. they have really help me. although, they have helped me so much, i can eat just about anything that use to tear my stomach up or bloat me and not it doesn't. so it may have a down side as well. have a girlfriend that is using them too. they have helped her as well. i buy the phillips colon health probiotic caps on line at bjs wholesale club. they are cheapest there.

I hate hormones. They ruin everything. I have been starving since yesterday afternoon. I stayed on plan, just ate a little cheese and an extra meal of salmon. Gained a pound ...
Today so far has been rough. Still on plan but I want to eat everything in site.

Anytime I eat anything off plan I gain some water weight.

It feels so good when other people notice your loss. Congrats! Best wish for your weekend concert.

My weight is going up too! It likes staying in the 190s!

As of Sunday, totally wheat free for at least a month and limited alcohol, no junk etc, etc, etc.

CC - we tend to wonder what it would have been like to do something different, make a different choice. You know the poem - two roads diverged in a yellow wood and sorry I could not travel both................

paleo and bc - many of us are "kinda" doing stillmans but tweak it to make it liveable for us. I'm glad you are staying with us!

thank you AGAIN Mim for being our sage!

esande I take them every day. When you are hard core paleo for life any thing other than meat throws you a huge bloat and sometimes worse

I am getting sick of dragging these last fifteen pounds around and I'm going to try NO cheese for this coming month. IDK if I will survive...........

Good Friday morning! I woke up feeling half decent - a turn in the right direction! Tomorrow I have a training event that starts at 8:30 and lasts until 2:30. Then my organist has a recital that I need to go to and that starts at 3! I think my sick leave is over! I'm on plan now for two days! We get fed lunch tomorrow but I'm going to take mine.

Gee CC - I've been called many things in my life, but never a sage! I like sage though - I make a cauliflower dish with it.

I'm off to drink a pot of coffee before I get dressed. I've got to go to the office for a bit and then to the grocery store. Have a great day everyone!
