I Messed Up!

I was on this forum last year and I lost a bit of weight with Stillman's. Unfortunately, good things were happening in my writing career and I didn't pay attention. Now I am getting close to 200 pounds again! That cannot be allowed so tomorrow I restart Stillman's. (I started eliminating carbs earlier this week so I could get through a lot of carb withdrawal before I cut the fat too.)

So I am back and I am going to learn and be inspired by all of you I hope.

:help:

WE ALL DO!!! We are here for each other. KEEP GOING!

bcgrown 03-12-2013 01:56 PM

I am happy to say that I am 2.4 pounds down in two days. And even though my father is in emergency at the hospital today - his lungs are filled with fluid and he may have pneumonia - I am not cheating on my diet!

Rebecca1979 03-12-2013 01:58 PM

Good going!!!! I am a stress eater so I k ow what you are going through! You are doing great!!!!

bcgrown 03-12-2013 03:42 PM

Thanks Rebecca. A hint from the Dukan diet was to make ice cubes using splenda and flavorings. I have a couple of containers in the freezer and I will suck on those if I want something to soothe the stress. I hope.

I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he gets better quickly. Great job on the weight loss, though! That's very significant in just 2 days!

bcgrown 03-12-2013 07:16 PM

We'll see how my dad is tomorrow. I started watching Hell's kitchen and got hungry so I had steamed mussels and prawns for dinner with a hb egg. And lemon juice. I also had a couple of cups of diet tea to keep things moving - not something I intend on doing a lot b/c it tastes horrible!

Hopefully he will be going home today. The fluid is out of his lungs now there are a few other things they are taking care of.

ChaoticGood 03-15-2013 01:31 PM

That's good to hear!

Thanks. They took out his IV but are keeping him until tomorrow to make sure he's okay. My dad has diabetes, congestive heart failure, has had at least 10 heart attacks and numerous strokes. He is disabled and they have to be careful. Every time he goes into the hospital I am afraid this is the last time.

new to site

i have been reading this site for a couple of wks. just starting stillmans. i use to do atkins, but now that i am 53 it just doesn't seem to work for me. low carb and low fat is working. have lost 3 lbs this week since monday. so glad to find you guys and all the encouragement. really helps staying on track since my son and hubby don't follow it. only part of diet i hate is all the water. never been a big water drinker. so bland tasting, but i am making myself drink it all day long! i only need to lose about 15 lbs, am 5'2 and weigh 123 this morning. got up to 127 and have never been that heavy except when i was pregnant back in 1990. once i hit my desired weight i think i can maintain ok by just watching scale and not letting weight get so far out of control. glad to be a part of you guys.
