Good Friday morning! And happy 1st of March! I lost 10 in February and I'm going to lose at least 10 in March! I hit a rough patch after I lost the ten but I've figured out what course correction I needed to make. So, I'm feeling ready to roar!
Bratty, you and I are probably around the same weight - lets help each other! CC - what is your shop? I'm not into corelle but I've been buying some fun glassware pieces lately. Do you have any? I'm going to the office, then to see a friend who broke her hip, and then to Sam's to stock up on beef! I went to a grocery store yesterday to pick up tomato paste, tomato sauce, and spaghetti sauce. I had fun looking at the carb counts. I buy organic as much as possible, but even then, the carb counts vary greatly! I choose the ones with the very lowest carb counts and I don't use much - enough to moisturize and flavor! Anyway, here is what I learned with my days of struggling - beef works better for me than fowl. I think the higher fat is what keeps me from not wanting to binge. I switched to chicken because I had a craving for it - yeah, I really do like it. But I switched to eating it all the time, instead of having it some days and staying with mostly beef. So, I've got myself back on track. And the lesson is: we need to find what works for us and it is not the same for everyone! And that's my story and I'm sticking to it! |
Good morning,
I'm restarting the clock. Today is day #1. This weather changes is messing up my sinuses. Yesterday, I decided to have my "grand" last meal and it is wonderful! It was at my favorite Japanese restaurant with sushi and walnut chicken. I thought starting the clock on the first day of March is a good idea. So here I am, a desk drawer with those tuna packets and a cup of coffee. I just took some ibuprofen a few minutes ago with a glass of water. Wishing everyone a great start today!!!! Dustin |
Dustin - you can do it! There is a ommercial here - I don't know it is a national company. Anyway it is for tux rentals and shows a bride coming down the aisle. The voice over says that on that special day all eyes will be on her, but her eyes will be on you! Then it shows the groom in his tux, standing at the front of the church. I know your Fiance loves you just the way you are. But I also know you will feel better getting some of your weight off! I'm waving the pom-poms for you!:jumpjoy:

Done with day 2. Lost 2 more pounds. Getting through yesterday felt great. Several times I had the thought of "Just go off today. It is only one last day." Lately I have been listening to those insane thoughts. Yesterday I got the urge to eat something bad so i ate a HB egg instead. Hoping I can continue this pattern. I forgot how good it feels to succeed on the tough days.

Hi everyone! A new thread, a new month, and a new start! Let's make this month awesome.
Scale was down another 4 oz today. That helps reinforce resolve, but man....I have been daydreaming about full fat cheese and spending too much time looking at Linda Sue's yummy sounding recipes. I tried to make deviled eggs but I mangled them peeling them and made egg salad instead and that was good to have yesterday. I want to go shopping and get some ground beef, getting sick of chicken. Hey does anyone have something they make that they like a lot? I need ideas. Yay Bratty! |

So I lost for 2 days eating only eggs and then yesterday I had some chicken and those terrible sausages and stayed the same... well I think I did I had a drs appt and slept in and didn't have time to pee... but I did have time to weigh haha
I am blaming it on those terrible salty sausages and will have another egg and chicken day and hopefully I get a loss tomorrow.... even a little loss is still a loss! I guess now that I am closer to goal I am losing slower but as long as I am getting closer I am happy! I started a March weigh in thread, everyone feel free to join me! |
Yay for March. .
I woke up hungry. . how stupid. . . So.. I'm holding off eating as long as I can but I think I'll have to cave so I don't do something stupid. . chicken and lettuce! Yummo!!! |
Here's to a successful March. I lost about 12 pounds in Feb hoping to lose about the same in March. Although I have been losing weekly can't help but feel like its not enough. The end goal just seems so far away...ahh well gotta keep pushing can't come this far to turn back.
|
Very hard to not jump on the scale DAILY!! But I think it will be better for my mental state to stick to a weekly weigh in :) BAD idea to cut back on caffeine the first week of Stillman's - ugh! Headache + Cravings = unhappy me. So I upped the caffeine and will decrease SLOWLY over the next couple of weeks. Here's to a ROARING weight loss month for us ALL!!

Apache Congrats on the 4 ounces. A loss is a loss! I love watching food porn when I am on plan. It is weird and tormenting. :D
Mar You no loss probably is a salt issue. Sausages can have so much sodium. IM I hate waking up hungry. It takes at least an hour to eat here. Getting kids out the door etc.. This time around I am making sure i always have hard boiled eggs in the fridge. They saved my butt yesterday. reinvented You had a great loss for Feb. Don't get discouraged. I know what you mean by it seems to far away. I have so much to lose. It can be depressing thinking about it. swebb I am going to weigh in daily for my first week and then every 3-4 days after that. Maybe that way I wont see the occasional slight gain I get. Scale obsession is tough when you try not to get on it. Good luck managing your caffeine! |
Hi I'm Jessica.. I started my stillmans diet today.. today I had boiled chicken breats with a lil bbq sauce... (Made it a lil easier to enjoy) but il cut it out eventually. So I was just wonderong if you guys had any good meal ideas I could use..

My advice is to just stick with basic protein, chicken breasts, eggs and tuna is pretty much all I eat although I might try some beef this week |

What did you get!? |
Hi All---Still trying to keep up with this plan. Made it 11 straight days in Feb, then had a bad 2-day slip-up. Fortunately, I got back on track and hope to continue throughout this month. I have been eating a lot of chicken sausages. I really hope that the water is balancing the sodium. I don't think I can give them up and stay on this plan. Any one had success eating a significant amount of chicken or turkey sausage?

Mar922 - Hot sauce sounds like a good idea. I had cottage cheese and eggs with ketchup for lunch and dinner. Didn't find myself that hungry after eatting the chicken breasts I boiled in the am... Had a few cravings but over all day one wasn't so bad... Let's hope day 2 and 3 don't ruin me.
CCgirl - not sure what stickies your talking about. |
Good Saturday morning! I woke up to snow - funny how I'm longing for spring. The snow can stop anytime now! I haven't lost weight in a couple of weeks. Some of it is my fault and some of it is just part of the normal weight loss process. I'll get through it. I'm going to lose 10 more pounds in March!
CC - I am collecting plates that can be eaten of of that have birds on them. Ahhh - coffee is calling - catch y'all later! |

OMG it was supposed to be near forty today, thank goodness I brough my insulated leather because the light wool blazer I had settled on over the turtleneck didn't cut it........light snow and windy all day, it didn't bust out over 36F. But my laptop isn't dead, it's just sleeping....YAY...the cute geek at Staples got it to fire so it's only the power cord. :jumpjoy: |

well, if that's not just ducky...........
as if my mother and I haven't been pushed to the limit enough since my dad passed, she has just witnessed the passing of their alpha male cat passing............he loved my dad and was still to this day insisting on sniffing his place in the marital bed and his chair in his office.......... I have been on the phone with her this past hour to make some sense of why we are being tormented with these events and I'm running out of ammunition. Mim, please give me something............all of you guys, my mother is again at her breaking point and I have to keep her from losing it.......... I just keep wanting to scream 'It wasn't supposed to be like this" I know some greater deity has a plan for which I am not privy to, but the straws just keep piling on the proverbial camel's back............ |
CC - the short theological answer is simply: Sh#t happens. We are not promised a pain free life. We are promised that God will always be with us. Death is part of life, as are pain and sadness. But so is joy a part of life. I don't believe that anyone is singled out to be tormented by life's upheavals, although it can feel that way sometimes. Take as much comfort as you can knowing you and your mom will not always feel this sad. And remember that you and your Mom are going through some major changes - with death and moving and a step-family with their own agenda. Be gentle with yourselves.
