Yesterday I was starving and today I don't want to eat at all, its 1230 and I still haven't eaten anything today...
I am a firm believer of only eat when you are hungry but is there a point when I should just force myself to eat? |

I wanted to get beef jerky today for a snack but the stuff at the store has TONS of salt and also has sugar in every type they had there.... Does anyone know how to make been jerky?
I have never had it before but I thought it might be good as a snack food for when I go out but I have already had my cheat meal or I just don't feel like eating off plan and if I made it at home I could control the salt and sugar |

Good Thursday morning! Ahhhhh, it is nice to wake up after having an on plan day! Today will be on plan too. I'm moving in the right direction - putting one foot in front of the other!
GT - how are you feeling - better I hope! I eat lots of red meat. I feel better on it, I stay on plan easier when I eat it, and I just like it! I've got a breakfast meeting this morning. Breakfast meetings are good because it is easy to stay on plan with a breakfast menu. |

Having a hard time this time around! Snack attacks are sneaking up on me!! Trying to remember to DRINK fluids when that happens - it helps somewhat.
Pantry and Fridge are clear of any "bad" stuff - but there is still plenty in there that is NOT allowed on the strict Stillman's. Tomorrow is weigh-in day and I don't want to disappoint myself.... |

Today I had
1 cup of coffee with creamer (I will start using sugar free but I am using the one I have first) 3 eggs scrambled with a bit of ketchup 1 can of tuna mixed with an egg and cheese and a bit of ketchup I don't normally have ketchup but the day I post my menu is the day I happened to have it twice haha |

I'm easing back to being on plan, and I had a breakfast meeting so this day is a bit unusual and high fat:

Today
B: 4 Slices Turkey Bacon L: Turkey Soup (boiled a turkey carcass with water and herbs) D: Chopped Turkey on top of 1 cup Fresh Spinach, 2 TBS Blue Cheese Crumbles and a dash of vinegar dressing (basically vinegar w/herbs) About 8 cups of coffee, 1 diet coke (12 oz bottle) and 4 12 oz glasses of water A bit off plan, but the Spinach would not keep another day for the hubby to eat ![]() Tomorrow is weigh-in day. Remember, gals. . we didn't get fat by eating lettuce! Veggies will not kill you . it's a matter of what you mix with the.. Carbs fats, butter. etc .etc. . I really believe you can eat meat and veggies and still lose. . add some exercise. .and you are golden. . my problem .. I can't do all 3 at once!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Good Friday morning! It feels so good to have an on plan day behind me. I'm not weighing for awhile - I know I gained and I want to keep my 10 pound loss from Feb and have a 10 pound loss in March. I hope I didn't do so much damage that that isn't possible! Anyway, I'll stay in denial for a bit longer. I am going to do some research, anyone want to help? Here is my interest. Yesterday and today I don't have any cravings. I know that for me, in a few days there will be a twinge of wanting something carboy, but I'll eat a bit more fat if I need to. But I know I'll stay on plan. So what I'm interested in is why? Why out of the blue is there such a powerful craving cycle? I know I am not the only one this happens to. There are outside factors - stress, events, - but this cycle is more than externally triggered. Anyway, I would like to understand it so I can head it off!

Weekly weigh-in - I am 2# down. Wish it was more but was was REALLY bad about not enough water last week!! Going to increase my water this week and try to get some walking in.

Hello all! Starting Stillman's today (gotta get to the store). i've been on and off low carb for about 2 yrs, BUT pretty much been off since the holidays and I'm feeling bloated and gross. I feel i need something really strict for awhile. I tend to overdo the LC snacks and treats and derail myself.
i have a cruise coming up the end of May and there is NO WAY I would put on a swimsuit right now so I gotta get with it! Glad I found a group to keep myself accountable. Have a great day! |
