Happy NYE!

Mmmm brisket sounds so good. It's one of my favorites! It must be a shrimp kind of night, I just had some for dinner along with some rotisserie chicken. My NYE splurge was some dark meat with the skin on. I figure that's better than wings and whiskey.

CC ~ Haha!!! My drinking buddies are about to go throttle the radiation techs for "ruining" me. And I agree, your cottage is beautiful!!!

Don't let me spoil pickles for anyone! LOL. I'm doing the really strict QWL right now and trying not to vary, but I also don't have book (I did a couple years ago, but it must not have made the cut when I moved) so I know I'm missing soooo much! Looks like its time to order it!

Hoops ~ GREAT job on day one. That's always motivating! Unfortunately I found your secret and did the exact same thing and am typing this in my size 14s. I'm shaped weird, so it's not a good size for me.

Catne ~ great job kicking it back in gear! Woohoo! Love the Greek yogurt idea, too. I picked up some SF jello today and will try to avoid dairy altogether during this phase. I do love the idea of something pudding-like, though.

I've been eating 5-6 meals, but now that I've got carbs out of my system, I want to be more deliberate about portions. I downloaded a calorie tracker app and yesterday it said I was at 764, but I felt like it was a ton more, so I'll be weighing things out for a little while. Do you all have a specific calorie count you shoot for?

Oh, and if anyone wants a great weight tracker app, I LOVE "my weight." After you enter your initial stuff, all you do is enter your weight when you want and it tracks progress vs time, BMI, amt lost and amt to go, graph, the whole deal. I've been using it for over a year and love it!

Today's menu:
B - 3 oz chicken
L - 2 oz "meatloaf" burger
D - 5 oz chicken, 4 oz shrimp
S - SF Jell-O
Bullion later if I get snacky.

Everyone have a very safe night!!!

I vote for Stillman's January skinnies but whatever name you want is perfect with me!

I just made some boiled eggs and have yellowfin tuna steaks ready to cook with lemon and herbs. Maybe a dash of mustard added to the lemon.

See you all on the new thread, I don't see it yet.

Dec 31 eats:
chicken breast
shrimp
roast beef
cheese (found some with just 2.5 grams of fat, 60 calories, and less than 1 carb per ounce)

I tried making 2 of those parm chips. I did something wrong. They were just burnt crumbles.

Great food menu Hoops!
I wish someone would show us step by step instructions for the parm chips. I'm very interested.

Hmmm... Did you use shredded Parmesan or the crumbly kind? The grated kind won't work. Actually, to make it easier, you can even make these in the microwave and stop it just when it's all bubbling then let it cool. You can do it with sliced parm, too, just put the slices on waxed paper and nuke them til they bubble. They'll crisp right up when they cool. I've tried other cheeses, but they don't crisp up like parm does. Good luck!!!!
