3 weeks with no cheats challenge
Between my birthday and then thanksgiving I have been off plan more than on for the last 2 weeks!
I am going to challenge myself (and anyone who wants to join) to stay on plan for 3 straight weeks. I haven't done that in about a year. I heard that it takes 21 days to form a habit do this 3 week challenge should help kickstart weight loss and keep me on plan after even if I have a day off. I will post my weight tomorrow morning and see how much I gained after 2 BIG thanksgiving dinners and lots of bad meals! |

Hi! I haven't been here in a while, but I've gotten back on low carb and have lost 15 pounds so far. I'm going to start tomorrow as well. I like eating the same thing every day because there is less margin for error. Breakfast I will do 2-3 eggs and either bacon or sausage. Lunch will be a seasoned grilled chicken breast or two. Dinner will be browned ground beef. I'll scramble or hard boil some eggs for a snack. Next week I am ordering taylor ham (AKA pork roll) which will be my snack from the time it arrives (I'm from Jersey, it's a staple).
I walk 5 miles a day as well. I'm not one for weighing myself, but I will be trying on my clothes at the end of the 3 weeks. Last edited by Prncssmn7; 10-09-2012 at 12:06 PM.. |

217.2 this morning. As of today I have been on plan for one week already and l have lost 8.8 lbs. Doing this 3 week challenge will make it a month on plan for me. It will be the first time I pulled that off, and a miracle.

Thats awesome! Last year I used to be able to lose that much in a week but now my body seems to be on to me and I don't lose as fast!

Welcome! By the time it gets to your anniversary you may have less of n appetite and that will make it easier! That happened to me for my bday but free 3 dinners and 1 lunch it was back but it's somewhat comforting that 1 could have 1 meal off plan without ruining everything.

Sorry for all the posts I can't multiquote from my phone!
*deep breath* So I am starting at 160.2 not bad considering I was totally off plan for the long weekend I did hip and waist measurementsas well because sometimes no weight loss still has inch loss my hips are 39" and waist was 32" Hope everyone has a good day I am sure I will be checking in lots to keep myself on track |

The nap helped!
I woke up from my nap wandered down to my basement to the deep freeze and opened it and was hit with a terrible smell! Everything had thawed and that is where I keep ALL my meat so now I have to clean the deep freeze and live off eggs until tomorrow when I can get to costco and restock all my chicken breasts. Luckily my bf had taken 1 chicken breast out of the deep freeze and put it in the upstairs freezer so I made that for dinner. So I am sad that I have to buy all new meat when I wads all stocked up but grateful for that one chicken breast |

Down 1 pound this morning.
This time around, I am actually enjoying being on plan. I feel so much better mentally and physically. When I am off plan I feel so bleh. I enjoy the food while I am in the moment of eating it but then the bloat, discomfort, guilt and self loathing kicks in. It is SO not worth it. I am hoping to lose 12 pounds during this 3 weeks. That will put be back to where I was a couple of months ago, before the massive binge fest. |

What does no cheats mean to you? Does it mean staying strictly on plan? Does it mean have very low carbs but allowing some veggies when needed? Does it mean low fat atkins style eating?
For me it would be that some veggies OR some fat are allowed if say I get invited to a lunch or dinner or if I feel like I will binge if I don't have a salad, lettuce really isn't that bad its just not stills, sometimes I have a piece or 2 of bacon... shocking I know! haha If I have something like a salad or bacon or some cheese I make sure its a slice of cheese or a piece of bacon or a handful of salad. I don't consider those a cheat (a block of cheese and pack of bacon on the other hand although delicious would be a cheat! haha) but I know some would, what do you think? |

Down another pound.
I could get used to this. 11 more to get back to my pre pig fest weight.I have been eating a lot of tilapia fried in a little butter with salt pepper and onion powder. yummy! Eggs do not agree with my stomach so I have been eating the tilapia for breakfast. I space it out with turkey burgers. I get in about 100 ounces of half strength crystal light. everyday also. I also eat a dill pickle as a night snack. It is 4 carbs but worth it. It isn't slowing down my weight and it gives me something crunchy to eat. Quote:

I was down another 1.8 today but did eat a cookie from my daughters' plate. I never do that, don't know what came over me.. im so mad I hope it doesnt stall me!
