44 pounds lost in 3.5 months...
Hello all stillman folks,
I havent been posting much past couple of months. But I was active here in june and july. Just wanted to give an update. I have lost 44 pounds since june 11 (3.5 months). I have been off plan 2-3 weeks during this duration. So, my rate is not high....its been around 12 pounds per month. Also, I have been switching between atkins and stillman. I got tired of eating chicken and turkey Now, I eat more balanced diet with bacon, sausages, chicken, almonds and other low carb foods. But I will tell you this...I had the fastest weight loss when I was on stillman diet...i.e low fat and low carb diet. In stillman,..I could easily lose 20 pounds per month. But with atkins..max I can lose is like 10-12 pounds. BUT...stillman is hard and you tend to lose motivation. So, I try to swtch between those. I will still be in ketosis in both diets..except in stillman, it will be low fat as well. Anyway, just wanted to post to inspire other people here. If a lazy guy like me can lose 44 pounds in 3.5 months, anybody can do it. Good Luck all and avoid those carbs Last edited by vyomguy; 09-26-2012 at 11:36 AM.. |

this is such perfect timing, i've been trying to do Stillman's again, did great for 5 weeks or so earlier this year than fell off the wagon and just enjoyed my summer...tomorrow's a new week/month and it's time to get back on track. 90 days until the new year, there's still time to achieve some goals!

way to go!And I hear ya on difficult to stay strictly on Stillman's for long periods...we have to change it up with Atkins-legal-meals every so often (salads, little bit higher fat on the steaks, broccoli etc.) We lose fastest with straight Stillman's, too...but easier to not binge when you know you can switch to other low carb and still lose, albeit slower. ![]() |

I tried Stillman's during that heatwave over the summer... I thought I was going to die. I don't know, I became very sick: vomiting, dizzy, lightheaded, headache, bed-ridden for a week... It took a long time to feel better so I am afraid of trying it again.

I get that dizziness and lightheadedness too you just have to have lots of water and even more water if its hot out and have your vitamins. If you reacted so bad maybe add more carbs or fat or try something else because not every diet works for everyone and if you are reacting that badly I would say that was your body's way of saying try something else

Wait, losing 20 lbs a month is not motivation for you???? That is a very good amount!
I remember watching The Biggest Loser and they were always like, "man, I only lost 8 lbs this week!" Kind of crazy. I start to feel like a skeleton when I'm down 8 lbs from where I am! But in that atmosphere it was a competition, and no matter how much they lost they always wanted to do better. Last edited by Scarlet_Belle; 11-28-2012 at 04:45 PM.. |
