Evening ladies! Its been forevah since I have been on the thread, and I love to see all the progress! It's so inspiring (Way to go, littlelavender! you went WAY down!)
I am at 140 and kinda stuck since July 3. I am hoping to do some serious strict stillmans through Thursday night and end up at 135 by Saturday morning if I can. I have been working out every day (ran 6 miles today) and I am hoping that is helping, not hurting. Does anyone have any good tips for the plateau busting? I need to be down to 125-130 by August 1st to keep on track with my goal, and I am hoping that is possible. From what I see with you ladies it is....mine just doesn't seem to be dropping as quickly. |

I did Stillman last year and I lost 20 lbs with no stall like this and thats with very little workouts until after a Month into the progrm My body is totally responding different this time but I'm still losing I maintained my goal weight for a whole year by doing still mans Monday to Friday and having a splurge on weekends and I worked out cardio 5 days per week I only gained the weight back recently from eating off diet every day and skipping gym I feel like I can maintain like a champ but the loss again , eek ! I'm not far from goal , and my body overall is changing rapidly Still mans works so well ,perhaps I'm older now and can't bounce back like I used to . Lol My willpower is very very strong , especially when. I see results !! |

I rather cheat on my diet any day than go for a few smokes I could always get back on track with a diet easily however, a few cigs I will be a hooked again .... ![]()

Good morning! Brave is great! We had a wonderful time. We ended up not eating out which is good for me. The girls had popcorn - I wasn't tempted. The scale didn't move today but it will. We are going to the amusement park today so I'll have tuna and exercise!
Weight charts I would look at the highest weight for your height, make that your goal and then see how you look and feel. If you look good and are happy - stay at that weight. If not, lose more. I think we all have different views about what constitutes pretty - some of us like curves, and some of us like a straighter figure. Do what feels natural to you. |

I was 1 pound over stats today. Stillmans is so unforgiving if you cheat.
![]() I was still in ketosis this morning so I am hoping it is just water bloat. No way I ate enough to account for a pound of fat gain. |

Hi peeps!! Bratty--love Ashley as a name!!! Thanjs for sharing!
Cc---yaaaaaaaay on the loss!!! Angel, I agree with Mim-get to the highest healthy weight and see how you feel. You said as well you have still lots to lose so I don't think there's any point in driving yourself crazy with different weight charts yet. My goal would be 105, I'm 5'6 and a slight build,my ring would be between a 5 and 5.5, shoes size is a 7.5. |

Another week head of us.
My birthday party is August 11th, so thats my big goal day. AT the rate I am going now, I will barely make it. I am going to visit friends and have a short beach vacay on July 26th, so thats really the goal, but I will give myself slack until August 11. I am doing the plan exactly as its listed. So hopefully in the next two weeks I can at least let go of 5 more LBS. Thats not too much to ask even on a normal old diet. I rely on stillmans for Fast weight loss and this time around, I am just not seeing those same gratifying results. Its harder to stay motivated but I am not dumb enough to step off plan, not with the goal so very near. This week I am doing chicken and fish only, and doubling my water intake, keeping my workouts the same, and seeing what my final results are at the end of the week. I wish everyone the best this week as you work towards your goals. -Tanya |

I am between a small and medium frame. My shoes are a size 5 and my ring is a size 4. My goal is 105 lbs. I like how I look at that weight but only if I have muscle on me. Keep in my mind I have a very short torso so I try to stay on the lower side of my weight range otherwise I can look thick in the middle with just a few extra lbs. My doc says I am good at 115 having had 3 children but she supports going as low as 105. Much less than that she fees wouldn't be healthy and would be hard to maintain. Not sure if that is true or not. Before kids I maintained 95 lbs. Who knows. For me I'm gonna lose till I feel comfy in my swimsuit.

Sadly, yes. Those numbers are correct. They actually DO take into account for body type (that's what the "frame" part is all about.) AND the range of weight for each frame size and for the over-all height allows for the normal variations - there's a built-in leeway of 30-35 lbs. for each height. Even if you're small framed and a body builder with a LOT of muscle you're still going to fit in the range on the chart for your height. It's hard to see these weights and figure out how far overweight we really are, but I think that this is a hard reality many of us need to acknowledge. I find it too easy to give myself excuses...these kinds of hard numbers slap me back to reality, lol. I'm 5'5" and small-boned (verified by doctor long ago) I actually weighed 118 lbs. for part of my young adult years...and looked great. No excess flab. I was not model-thin by any stretch, just no extra bumps/rolls/cushy-ness. A girlfriend, same height, always weighed 110 through high school & actually still does...she is thin, but again, not model-thin. She just looks really good. I also know an award-winning body-builder/power lifter who is also my height...and she weighs 144 lbs. But when she's standing there, not flexing muscles, she just looks "normal"...like normal curves, thin legs/arms, flat tummy, etc. You would never guess her weight that high unless she's in her body-building poses and you can see how sculpted she really is. So all the muscle does make her weigh more than she looks, but she still fits completely in the weight chart for her height.

However, that was far better than I'd been doing on Atkins...only lost 1.4 lbs in my entire 2nd month on Atkins. So that 2-3 lbs a week was wonderful, even if it wasn't as much as "promised" on Stillman's. Fast forward...after doing Stillman for 5 weeks and losing like that, now all of a sudden I'm losing about a lb. a day for the last 5 days. Love it. It probably won't last, but what a nice bonus reward-loss after sticking with it through the slow-but-steady losing. So stick with it...maybe you'll get a bonus loss time after a few weeks too. ![]() |

Good morning all! I was up 1.8 lbs this morning.
I made buffalo wings again last night and according to the recipe, there was TONS of sodium in a serving (I went easy on the salt but I also had to use a lot of Red Hot) so I'm hoping it's mostly water bloat because I don't feel like I ate THAT much. I woke up super early (at least too early for my tastes) and in a bad mood even before looking at the scale but instead of laying in bed for hours til I had to get up like I normally would, I got up and went on a run! I have hated running all my life and have NEVER run voluntarily except for recently. I ran my first mile at the gym the other day. 20 years old and never ran a mile in my life until a few days ago! So I'm proud of myself! For once in my life, I am healthy, and it makes all the difference. I feel much better after my run, especially knowing that I've already gotten in some exercise today even though I'm also going to the gym with the boyfriend later. Also, about the weight chart... I guess I personally just prefer looking at other things and using multiple ways of checking things like that besides strictly weight. Probably comes from my own insecurities about being overweight (although I know you all can relate to that) but I've also never been skinny before so I don't know what weight is appropriate for me yet and don't have much frame of reference. I've spent a lot of time online using charts and calculators trying to figure out what weight I should be at but honestly I think it just takes losing until you feel comfortable with how you look. |

I have a weird question. Do your feet get skinnier when you lose weight?
I would love to have cute shoes/sandals but I never get them because my feet are too wide. I was just wondering of that is something I can look forward to or am I cursed with wide feet... |

Pretty sure I'm going back to 8s & maybe not have to wear the wides anymore. I do have flat-feet (virtually no arch left) so I may still have to wear wides...but I have hopes! I also tend to retain water in lower legs & feet, so I might always have a problem with "fatter" feet due to water fluctuations, but maybe I'll be able to shop the regular shoe stores at the mall instead of always ordering on-line. However, if you want a lot of shoe choices now...including lots of stylish, very cute styles, try Woman Within on-line catalog. The shoe section is huge on there, and virtually all of the styles come in both wide and even extra wides. There's usually a good sale going...shop the clearance area too. I've bought some really cute sandals in wide sizes there or like $15 + shipping by using the sales/clearance offers. Last edited by catne; 07-09-2012 at 09:26 AM.. |

Hmmmm. I think it is possible when you lose weight to move into a smaller shoe size so I would think the width could totally decrease so you can look forward to wearing those cute sandals you want!

Hello everybody,
Hope all of you are doing good. I was vacation for the past 6 days. Had gone to vegas to play in WSOP. Ended up eating lot of unhealthy food. Today I checked and I had gained 2.2 pounds over the past 6 days. Not as bad as I had thought. Anyway, I have to kick start my strict regime again. Will take another week to go below 200...onto the grind. |

Thanks Everybody for setting my mind at ease with the whole weight and height chart .... I always thought I was 5'5 turns out I am 5'4
I am too young to be shrinking, I hope .... 5'4" 110 to 119 hmmmm.... so I will take the higher weight of course .... I have a long road ahead of me .... As for my shoe size, This I know .... 3 things that make my feet swell / larger .... weight gain , salt, and hot weather .... If all of them occur at the same time I am @#$%!!!! and my toe ring hurts My feet are narrow with a high arch which was inherited by my mother .... as of now, most of my sneakers that I have stretched out fit loose on my feet.... My tootsies are going back to the way they should be .... Another awesome Stillman's miracle I am so amazed about is that my preggy looking tummy is gone .... I carry most of my weight in the tummy .... I have narrow hips and am long legged, so the weight goes to the butt and belly and although, height and weight charts go by bone structure it is also, important to judge by how the weight loss shows on your frame .... Myself as an example I lose most of the weight from the tummy and butt .... 110 lbs would be great it has been so long since I had those tiny digits at my feet .... A while ago, someone mentioned on LCF I forgot who at the moment , had posted that those tiny digits on the scale make them feel much more feminine , it may not necessarily be true for everyone .... however, I can relate to that comment .... Today was a busy day at work and It is 2:30 am Eastern time .... Computer business never sleeps lol I told my boyfriend we can sure use some over seas remote sessions tonight .... Today's menu I dined on my boring fast 5 Turkey diet (2) extra lean turkey burgers .... I will weigh myself in couple of hours, I really am trying to become less scale obsessed It can be as frustrating as quitting cigs and btw CC your DH will quit as soon as he is ready I am hoping for the same with my boyfriend .... ![]() |
