Angel - YES! You're not imaging that - my right hip/thigh has more fat storage there. So one leg will fit different than the other. I can see it clearly in the mirror. Our bodies don't lose weight or hold weight exactly symmetrically. In fact, we lose weight from head to toe. Then the more you lose, it cycles back and starts from top to bottom again. Hence, why when you first lose weight you can see it in your face first.
Lavender - what did you eat and drink exactly? Any exercise? And what was your water intake? Let's figure this out because you should have definitely lost something! It's something sneaky maybe that you don't realize. Did you have JUST turkey and water?

I drink at least 80 oz of water a day (and rarely anything else), but I don't remember exactly how much yesterday. Andd I went to the gym, did 10 mins brisk walk on the treadmill (to warm up), 20 mins on the eliptical, and some strength training. Today: 2 completely plain lean turkey burgers around 12 pm 2 completely plain lean turkey burgers around 6 pm Drank 82 oz of water today, and still drinking more Giving myself a rest day on the gym because I've went the past 3 days, but I made sure to always take the stairs and walk up the giant hill to work instead of taking a shortcut. I don't usually work out on Tuesdays/Thursdays because those are the days I work, so I make sure I do that instead. I didn't exactly stick to a Fast Five window, either... I just tried Fast Five last week and it didn't really have any effect, but I ate chicken instead of turkey. So maybe I'll try again with the turkey burgers starting tomorrow and see how it goes. ![]() Last edited by littlelavender; 06-05-2012 at 06:53 PM.. |

I made the hoop myself
I was so excited to have an adult one I didn't even mind that it's a little wobbly shaped for a circle. I took belly dance classes at my gym a few years ago! I loved it so much!! That's the only time in my life I've ever liked my thighs.. funny it did more for my legs than my tummy though! I'm jealous that you have a dvd! I may have to get one now! Oh my.. I actually feel a little excited about exercise. |

Littlelavender I've heard some people say that working out causes a stall or gain for them. Not a real gain though because it's just extra water being stored in the sore muscle. Maybe that could be what's going on?

Yeahh, I usually go to the gym 4 days a week. I'll do at least 30 mins of cardio all 4 days and additional 15-20 mins of weights 2 days a week. For strength training, I've mostly just been focusing on my abs and my legs and at least once a week I'll do one or two machines for upper body just to mix it up a little. I'm trying to think long term with the exercise so that I can be healthier and more fit when I get down to my goal so I hope it's not the reason why I'm stalling. :/ I can see how it could be, though. |

Im in! Just came home from Costco & my extra-lean turkey patties, 5 oz
Very excited to try this!! I will probably be carrying patties in my purse while I'm running errands during the day so I will not have any outside influences. My plan is to weigh in on Fri & Mon, then switch it up with eggs & fish for two days, repeat.. Good luck ladies with the hump day! & congrats on losses. Very busy week, I'll check in on Fri, hopefully with great results or sooner if I feel I'm going crazy. |

Good morning! Today I have a lunch meeting which will be Atkins style. The meeting is in a home where the host prepares it for us. She always has low carb, no gluten options for me. Tomorrow morning another Atkins meal - eggs and bacon at a restaurant. Other than those two meals, I'll be eating fish! I always eat fish on days I have food related events to kind of even out the calories. Actually, I eat fish a lot anyway! I woke up this morning at the same weight I was yesterday. No problem - but I always love it when I see a loss on Wednesday morning as Wednesday is the first day of my "weigh" week.
Sounds like we are all doing well! Have a great day, everyone! |

6 pound drop this morning! 3 more to get back to my stats. Last night was a bit rough. First time I have went to bed hungry in a long time. My husband was all but begging me to go eat something before my stomach drove him crazy.
![]() This morning I feel fine and intend to push my window from noon to 5. I have 12 pounds to get to under 200 and I plan to get there by the end of the month. |

Feeling very tired this morning. Was tossing & turning last night, don't know why.
Scale is stuck on same weight 2 days in a row, but I'm OK with that, because...The good news is today makes it one full week on Stillman's and I'm down 5.2 lbs. in 7 days! Which I'm loving, because the month of May on Atkins was a total waste of time for me (I gained & lost & gained & lost the same couple of lbs. all month, ending up 1 lb. for the month on 5/30. That's when I decided it was the day to start Stillman's.) I suspect the same-weight 2 days in a row is just an adjustment phase...but if I stay stuck, I'll be joining the turkey meal plan ![]()

I think it was Angel that said she was obsessed with the clock while on the fast 5.
I know how it feels now. I am holding out till noon to start eating and I have looked at the clock about every 5 minutes since I rolled out of bed this morning. ![]() It does not help that I watched outrageous foods this morning either.. . Mmm food porn! |

Then I read Erin's story and the turkey meal plan worked so well , that I lost 5 lbs at first and then 2 lbs each day consecutive there after .... The turkey meal plan is soooo boring, however it is very efficient ! |

Majar , This is how I do the turkey meal plan .... a lil less strict than Erin's WOE .... However , for QWL results you can follow Erin's story ....
Mon_Wed turkey meal plan (window for eating ONLY turkey 5 p.m - 10 p.m ) Thur_Fri strict Stillmans Weekends healthy off plan meals I left a link for yummy low carb meal plans Make sure you watch your calories, carbs and fats on off plan days If you do indulge do an extra turkey meal plan for each day you indulged .... Drink your water , take vitamins, do as much exercise you can do even walking .... Remember turkey meal plan is difficult if you feel stressed please, stop and try another WOE that you can follow comfortable with .... This is not healthy for long term meal plans .... Turkey does not have calcium so we will need to make sure to start incorporating dairy in our meals low fat of course .... Eat healthy on off plan days .... I want my friends to stay healthy |

Good afternoon everyone! I am in better spirits today because I was down to 148 flat when I woke up! That's about a 1.6 lb loss. Close enough to 2 lbs for me, I'll take it! The only big difference between yesterday and the day before was that I didn't go to the gym yesterday. Maybe that is what's stalling me. I'm going to go today, though, just for some cardio and no weights. I don't want to get out of the habit of going because I've made a lot of progress. :/ So maybe if the cardio doesn't stall me, I'll just focus on more cardio and less weights from now on.
Also, I'm going to start eating in a Fast Five window today. I think my hours will be 2 pm - 7 pm. I just can't wait until 5 pm to start eating, I'd rather eat during the day and I don't usually eat after 7 pm anyway unless for whatever reason I'm having a late dinner. I'll do the Fast Five/turkey burger diet until Friday and then have two off days over the weekend. Then back to Fast Five/turkey burgers for another 5 days. Hopefully I'll only have to do it for one or two more weeks before I get close enough to my goal that I can just start trying to eat healthy and exercise to lose my last 3 or 4 lbs. I was thinking of doing something more along the lines of the "Inches Off Diet" and add in some meat once or twice a week when I get down to 138ish so that I can lose the inches that I haven't seen go yet. I hope to start that by July 1st so that I can have 3 weeks to trim off inches and hopefully lose 3 more lbs (I think 1 lb a week sounds reasonable if I keep my calories around 1200, my carbs under 100g, and exercise 3-4 times a week) before I leave for my big trip on July 23rd. Congrats to everyone on their weight loss!
Day 3 of the Turkey diet and down another three pounds! It is getting difficult and I'm starting to see why Angel only does three days at a time lol. I was wondering if vinegar is allowed on the Turkey diet? I used garlic vinegar as sort of a dipping sauce for my turkey burgers lol. ![]() |

I have a quick question, I know that this is a quick weight loss and that most of the weight you lose in the first day or so is water weight... but I'm 3 1/2 days into the diet and am down 10 lbs already. It kinda seems like its a lot of weight for a short amount of time.... is this normal?
