Ok I'm gonna do Stillmans One day (Down Day 500 calories)
UpDay is 1700-2000 calories with a 100 gram cap on the Carbs.....



Sounds Simple and I'm looking forward to the change.:)


I'm 160 now and want to be 145 by the end of this.....

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO YOU!!

I'm doing Stillman/Dukan/Judd hybrid if that makes sense! I could just say Dukan/Judd, but at least one or 2 days a week I'm doing clean Stillman's.

I'm going to be out of town, celebrating DD's graduation from college Wed/Thurs so hope all the celebrating does not get me way off track.

Then Sunday I'm flying to the other side of the country and will be gone for 2 weeks. One of those weeks will be spent with my siblings and their families in PA. Every single time I go there I gain weight! Lots of food. Lots of carby, fatty foods!! It's hard not to eat too much. They are all great cooks and I fall into the old family habits that made me a fat kid and a fatter teen!

I was a teenager when I did Stillman's QWL diet for the first time. It really worked great and so fast for me. It's been my go-to diet all my life, but didn't work so well when I was in menopause. :sad: Nothing did! It's working again now that the wicked stage of life seems to be over.

But, I have a hard time sticking to Stillman strictly long enough to get a chunk of weight off. Then when I go off it, the weight comes back.

But I discovered that with Dukan and now Judd, It's staying off.

Glad I'm not the only hybrid (FrankenDiet :hyst:) person on the LCF boards!!

Thanks and let's keep each other going. Sometimes in the past i used to beat myself over the head for not being able to stick with a diet. Like I'm a quiter. But now i am embracing the fact that I need variety and I'm a loser.:)

I'm very, very close to being down 40 pounds. I tried hard to lose in April, but my body just would not give up an ounce. I bounced up and down 2+ pounds day to day. But, ended up right where I started.

It was disappointing because I had a good loss in March. Oh well. Sometimes the body just takes a break. Maintaining can be good too, for a while.

But when it gets to be too long, it becomes discouraging.

I'm glad the scale started going down again this month. Gotta keep at it!

We WILL get to our goals eventually. That's for sure!

Yam I'm so glad your with me. Man 40 is a wonderful sounding number. I was 195 at my top number, so i feel so good at 160 now. But wanting to head down. Try and be good with the fam. i know they can be food pushers though we love them

I had a great DD yesterday. I was able to celebrate and enjoy mother's day while sticking to my plan. DH BBQ'd T-bone steaks. It was great. I was able to have an all protein day. Stayed satisfied and did not have any unhealthy cravings at all.

So far today I've had egg whites and half teaspoon of coconut oil. Sipping on ice water with a little fresh lemon squeezed in.

Will be off to the gym soon to do some cardio and mild strength training.

I'm sure you feel awesome at 159-60! I'm so proud of your progress!

It does happen! I like that it's so easy to get back into rotation if I mess up.

Today was a DD for me. But, I was soooo hungry! I worked out with my personal trainer this morning and I've been hungry all day after that.

So I upped my DD caloried to 35% and that's gonna have to be good enough. I only ate protein. I had a Muscle Milk Light, ground turkey, a small amount of salmon and more ground turkey. Lots of water.

I'm going to be gone tomorrow and the next day. Then I'll be home Fri/Sat and then Sunday I'm flying to the east coast where I'll be for 2 weeks.

I'm hoping to stick to my rotations, but we'll see. Some days will look more like fast-5 probably.

I will try to check in here when I can! Hang in there, Frances and KUTGW!

Just checking in for a brief moment. The new Avi is me at dinner on the harbor in SW D.C. at a restaurant DH and I used to go to when we worked at USDA in 1972 right after we met.

I'm having a great time, getting lots of exercise and eating lots of protein! Get this: For dinner I had crab legs, poached filet of salmon and a slice of roast beef! Yum!

WoW !!!! Yam - Yam you look great !!!! I was surfing the site and saw your pic and then thought hey why not try to slim down some more by the 4th of July .... As of now I am on the strictest meal plan ever but it works .... figures ha ! I am in a new decade so I am feeling hopeful .... I hope you are enjoying yourself !!!!
