New to Stillmans

Hi Everyone...
I have been checking out this board for about a week now because I am interested in doing Stillmans.
I started with Atkins and lost 10lbs, however went back to my old ways and gained 6 back.
I recently stumbled upon The Stillman diet and think it is something I would like to try.
I am getting married in 2 months and would love to lose as much weight as possible for my wedding.

I am planning on starting tomorrow!
Just wondering how fast ppl lost weight on Stillmans and if there are any good recipe recommendations??

Hi Live2sing:

I'm new to the board as well. I did Stillman in 2009 and lost 60 lbs over approx. 6 months (from 197 to 137); of course, I would have done better if I hadn't cheated one, or two, or maybe 10 times

. Nevertheless, I kept the weight off with a LC intake of around 40 gms/day for a year before suffering a creep up to 167 in 2012.

I decided to finally make a stand or risk gaining it all back. I've now lost around 20 lbs in 8 weeks. I know that Atkins is more palatable for many, but I find that Stillman works better for me. I don't feel that one has to maintain a High fat intake to lose.

Thanks so much for the encouragement!! I have lost 10 so far and am excited about that. It has been really hard though!!
Your weight loss success is very inspirational!! You have done great so far!
