Thanks, Frances! I watch Dr. Oz sometimes and he has mentioned so many supplements, it's sometimes hard to figure out which ones to take! I will pick some Biotin tonight.
Actually started the plan all over again this morning with a broiled chicken breast for breakfast. I have a pouch of tuna in water for lunch and I have plenty of bottled water with me for the day. Thanks for the "welcome" & Great Job, Caitlyn & Img607! Last edited by Tara K; 04-04-2012 at 09:43 AM.. |

Hello Everyone!!
Wondering if I can also join in? I read the whole thread also and love how supportive everyone is!! Reptogirl I am SO rooting for you and I hope your not gone? Little bit about me: I was think my whole life, at 23 I had my first and only child and gained a hundred pounds (pre-ecmplasia) I lost 40 right away and since than I have struggled between 200 and 220. A month ago I had a miscarriage and it really made me realize how important it is to get in shape because I desperately want more children.... I have been on Atkins for three weeks and have lost 7 lbs and gainerd 2 up and down the same 7 lbs. Today is my first day of Stillmans. I have eaten 2 hardboiled eggs and the most delicious Stillman soup that will most definitely be the saving grace of this diet!!! |

Hoodia is ok, and green tea supplements, but I've always had a gut feeling not to take diet pills in the past and it has panned out. I've known people to get heart issues and other health issues from them. What the drug companies seem to do at times is put those things out to experiment on the masses. By the way, my own SIL took a mail order pill and ended up in the hospital near death. That particular pill was taken off the market and it was killing two out of three people who took it. She was fortunate to only receive small paralysis on her side and has always walked with a limp since then. ![]() Green tea is great to drink with any woe.... ![]()

repto how are you doing?
I must admit yesterday I slid into a pit of food and ate my way out. But it was really encouraging to come to this thread and see all the motivated peeps on plan. You know I've been thinking about putting a post up with the first page and a half of chapter 8 in the book. It is really the heart of the matter with Stillmans. You may be doing great right now, but i will tell you now i get meat fatique. Even though this woe has excellent results when you read the QWL rules even Stillmans admits this is a tough one to follow for an extended period of time. So I'm still working on alternating it every other day. |

My soup recipe is homemade chicken broth (seasonings but no salt!) Shredded chicken breast and the whites of five eggs. Extremely low cal and carb free. Eating it makes me feel fantastic and its the only way I can eat eggs...I got this recipe reading through some of the posts!
Haven't weighed myself yet but it sounds like everyone is doing awesome! I can't believe how full I feel. My cravings and hunger is completely gone |

hi all, im still around
i have figured out i just can't eat eggs, which is fine with me i had not ate any for about a week and last night i had an omelet and well tmi i am constipated again, and hadn't been for about a week, that is the only thing in my diet that was different...but yeah fine with me, i had to gag down my omelet no new weight loss to report, but i think it is because i have been mowing..which for someone very inactive that is some major exercise!! it is so great to see so many new people here |

Oh Repto, so good to hear from you.
![]() Yes cheat days help. I just did that too. I topped it off with Reeses Peanut butter cups. (i should get them out of my house) Some people call a cheat day a refeed. And actually it does really work for them and sometimes jogs your system into more loss than if you wouldn't have done it. I believe one of the worst traps to get into is beating yourself over the head when you slip up. Because then you get depressed and then you eat more. Well today is a wonderful New Day and a fresh start for me and you all. It is absolutely beautiful here. My hubby went bike riding (he loves to do that) I will have to go with him tomorrow to make him happy, and me skinnier.P.S. If anyone likes curry, try some curry chicken soup. It's great! And if you like it hot, throw in a little hot sauce. One that is really hot but i love it in the curry soup is called a Chilli Garlic Sauce. You can get it at Wallyworld. Also for the hot loving palet try the habenero hot sauce from Tabasco. just a little dab will do you. Tasty,,,, ![]() |

![]() ![]() glad to meet you pixietix. This will be fun to lose with everyone. I prefer to think of it as fun rather than a chore. After all, after we lose it we have to keep it off. So we are looking at a new habits and attitude about food. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

This is my day five. I think I am in ketosis because I have a funny taste in my mouth. I didn't have much of an appetite yesterday, but I made myself eat a little something.
1 boiled egg 1 scrambled egg with 2tbs ff cheese 2 pouches tuna with 1 tsp mustard 2 pieces of sugar free gum Water, coffee 174/172/170/169/167.2 So four days, and I've lost 7 pounds. |

Hey all,
I did great yesterday, but i'm still recovering from a two day Slurge. Yum, but OUCH! ![]() I'd like to invite you all the ThE BEAT MARYLOUISE CHALLENGE. Marylouise is a proven loser. She has lost over 100 pounds and is still losing. She is a formidable foe. Her woe is a little different than Stillmans in the respect that she has fat on the plan. But it's still Zero Carb. So I have devised my own plan to beat her, you all don't have to go off Stillmans to join this challenge. But fat won't stall you. It may even shake up the weight loss a little. One of us could beat Marylouise. ![]() Last edited by It'stime; 04-06-2012 at 10:57 AM.. |

Here's the thread
http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/at...l#post15488405 I'm not sure of the start date. It may be today or even the day after Easter. Mary hasn't revealed that yet. It's for 12 pounds. |

Caitlyn, I've been on a diet my entire life. When people ask me how long I've been watching what I eat, my true response is "Since I was 8." Sometimes I get frustrated when I'm around all of my friends and family, who have never had to watch what they eat, and I'll just go on a binge, but it feels way worse afterwards. I don't know if you would even be up for this, but why don't you try to mimic one of my menus, especially the 10 bottles of water. We are pretty much the same age, weight, and height so maybe our bodies react similarly. I'm going to do the same with one of yours when I hit a stall. Sometimes switching it up helps. By the way, do you have a facebook? You should look me up. Lindsay Golden Mobile, Alabama.

I start drinking water at 8am. I work from 8 to 5. So I set a goal to have 4 bottles down by my lunch at 12, and then the other 4 by the time I get off at 5. Then I'll just get a little thirsty at home, and with the 8 already out of the way, I can have a diet drink, or if I'm broke, more water. This diet is not easy. It's f-ing hard. This forum is the only thing that keeps me pumped. ha That and all the fat pictures my friends post of me on facebook.
