Oh great Repto,
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have been actually not doing up down to much this past couple of days. More like Stillmans with lettuce at the end of the day. I'm wanting to make sure I still have my 160 on April 1st. Judds makes the scale go up and down and I am still new at seeing that. As far as up days go, I'm needing to stay Lowcarb so the hunger is not kicked in. As time goes on and I get used to this I will up my carbs, but only the good carbs. I'm hoping to bring my lipids especially the trys down to normal. My trys have freaked doctors out before. That ain't good. Although I put half and half in my coffee. I love coffee, and I love it with cream. I will ditch it if I have to though. my goal for april is 10 pounds or more. I believe I will be able to average a 3 pound a week lose. I'm planning to stay with my plan, and of course if I fall off next day back on. You will most likely see alot better weight loss than me. I'm honing into the finish line (yeeee). 30 pounds and I'm gonna see if I need to lose any from there. I may join my local gym for the month of April.....I much more feel like exercising now. I love the way I feel eating LC.![]()

yeah i have been thinking i might just stick to stillmans for the most part, but the option is there for juddd incase i am put in a situation where i am out with friends or whatever..
my first goal is to get under 300 pounds...i have always felt that if i could just get out of the 300's then this all would be possible.. i was at 311.2 this morning, so hopefully in a couple of weeks...that would be such a boost!! oh yeah...i don't think i can handle the scale going up and down..i hate when that happens,, and i know i shouldn't let it because it is going to happen regardless of what you eat somedays..but it sets my moods some day that is so great you are getting so close to your goal!!!!!!!!! |

Hi Guys, today was not a Stillmans day for me. It was more like Atkins induction. A nice change. It is easier to do that when the hubby is home. We took a long bike ride and my body is in shock. I took two aspirin. Repto, i don't know if this could work for you or not, but I'll tell you my attitude on donuts. I like them way tooooo much. I gain weight just looking at them, so i made a deal with myself to not eat them. I consider them dangerous. I have to rule some foods out of my life, but i did agree with me that braums yogurt cones are acceptable on occasion and on really special occassion cheesecake. But definitely not a regular thing. I could get diabetes or something, because I just tend to overdo. Sometimes it's best to kick somethings out of your life. ![]() |

whats funny is i can totally skip these donuts if i am not on a diet, kinda like peanut butter, i never particularly cared for it, but a lot of time when i am on atkins i would get a terrible craving for it..silly...hopefully i am over the donut cravings!

Oh my... Frances, you talked about one of my favs.... cheesecake. Keep me out of reach of ANY! I could probably eat the whole one... from the Cheesecake Factory. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
I love peanut butter, too. Who needs anything to put it on when I have a spoon, a knife, or even fingers! That just shows that IT rules me... instead of ME ruling IT! Oh. I am short on cooked meat at my house today. I sent my hubby out for propane for the grill so I can make a hamburger. Maybe I better take something else out of the freezer, too! I did boil some eggs this a.m. and had one. I just had my Daisy Cottage Cheese and the last piece of grilled chicken. It is the weekend, and weekends are HARD! |

Ok, I totally totally totally understand. I get meat fatique. That's why I believe when I go off I go for all that kind of stuff.
well Judd DD for me. I went off last night after i talked with you. Granted not donuts, but i don't keep any in the house, so no medal for that. I had mostly not too bad of food, but it took my calories for yesterday from 1500 atkins to 2370. So DD for today, by default. I'm gonna keep counting my calories, because I would of though I did alot worse. Plus It doesn't hurt to have something around that would satisfiy you in case of emergency..... Today I'm aiming for 500 to 800. Let's just keep going. I love Judds for this! talk with you |

Well I made it through today with more or less straight Stillman. I substituted the cottage cheese for one cup of the vanilla almond milk I got at Walmart. Just 1 carb, 35 calories and not bad at all. I had to add a pack of stevia to it. This product has 45 percent of your daily calcium.
So I did 600 calories today and tomorrow will be an up day for around 1500. but I will keep them very low carb. Under 20. Repto, Italian Creme Cake is also very wonderful. Those Italians are the best when it comes to food. The hubby wanted me to go around the Lake again biking. I just decided to crochet while he did that. So he rode around twice for 18.4 miles total. i don't regret my decision at all. I don't want to exercise too much on a down day. As you can see. I'm liking Judd. Since i keep just naturally falling off of Stillmans, I may as well just stick to my original plan of Stillman one day Low Carb the next. |

Hi ladies! I am new to lcf and dieting! I am planning on starting the stillmans diet tomorrow and was wondering if you guys had any advice for a newbie! My goal is to loose 30 lbs by may 15 which is my 21st birthday! I am currently 170lbs so do you think with this strict diet and excercise 30lbs is possible? Also how much food should I consume daily? I ordered the book today but am kind of lost until it gets here and would like to start ASAP!

Caitlyn, are you going to do strict Stillman's? If so, it doesn't matter how much you eat, it's all about what you eat. Only lean meat, fish, eggs, cottage cheese and condiments.
You can definitely lose that by mid May but you must not cheat or sway or even chew one piece of sugarless gum. This diet puts you into ketosis. I've lost 10# the first week. You usually lose between 5-10% of your total weight the first week. And the losses are a bit smaller each week as you get smaller. Good luck! If you have any questions, we are here for you! Hi foxylady! Thanks so much for your response! I am doing strict stillmans until may 15. Do I exercise daily while on this diet? Im thinking about doing at least one hour of cardio a day. Do you think it's a good idea to start exercising right away or should I wait until after the first 2 weeks?

Hi Caitlyn,
![]() I just read something about waiting for 2 weeks so your body can absorb the changes in eating first. Unless you are used to a certain amount of exercise and then half it for 2 weeks. Wishing the best for you on your quest! ![]() |

OMG reptogirl! That is totally awesome!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hi 515, ![]() You can replace something. Some people have substituted Protein Powder and some greek yogurt. I don't think these things were around when he wrote the book. Do you have the book? I was just looking at chapter 8 and he is for tweaking a diet to fit you. Just get that weight off. I personally am using almond milk instead at 35 calories and 1 carb. I get it at walmart. I love the taste and it has 45 percent of your calcium for the day. Don't forget to take your vitamins.... |

515 the sticky has the basic rules for the QWL. It's pretty simple....Low fat meat. That pretty much sums it up. Oh yeah, the cottage cheese. But I just pulled my book out and it is worth the read. He really motivates a person when he talks about the health risks of being overweight. I usually just thought about the other issues about being overweight. Because eating is fun, and in my opinion one of the Lords blessings we have on earth. But overdoing it has all the bad consequences with it.
So stay encouraged. Repto is really encouraging me......Go girl. |

I am on my second day of Stillman's and I've lost 2.5 pounds. I'm at 172, and I want to stick to a strict Stillman's until early May. What is the most amount of weight you think I could lose by then? Also, since I'm new, anyone have any good recipies I could try?

I ate shredded chicken breast for lunch. (2) pork chops without fat for dinner. Then in between just 4 boiled eggs. I've been on atkins for 3 weeks, and lost 5 pounds, but then I ate so much on Saturday and Sunday I didn't really have an appetite yesterday. I'm only 22 and I feel like I'm waisting my life worrying about being fat. That's probably the reason I had a 2.5 loss. Today I'm going to try a recipe I found online on a Stillman's forum. It's sweet and sour chicken, and the ingredients weren't expensive. For lunch I had shredded chicken again, and I'm on my 7th bottle of water. Drinking so much water is hard for me. I'm generally not a thirst person. I need to lose 30 pounds, and I was on weight watchers a couple of years ago and lost 55 pounds, but it took 4 months. I'm very impatient. I need something new to focus on. How about you? What is your method so far?

we sound like the same person! lol im 20 and my 21st birthday is may 15 so my goal is to loose 30lbs by then. i also did weight watchers when i was 16 and lost 40lbs and it took about the same amount of time. i was 140 lbs when me and my bf starting dating 2 1/2 years ago and now im back up to 169! yesterday i ate 2 hardboiled eggs for breakfast a, chicken breast for lunch w/ a light string cheese stick and a hardboiled egg. then for dinner i ate a chicken breast and a can of tuna with some cheese. im thinking im eating too much cheese so i figured i'd cut it out all together. today i had half a can of tuna for breakfast with some dijon mustard and a chicken breast for lunch and tons of water! its also been hard for me to drink all this water because i've never been much of a water drinker.

Yeah, I was 140 as well when I started dating my ex boyfriend 2 1/2 years ago. Unfortunatley I got the boot. I'm about 5'4", and I just want it off. I'll post what I eat every day though, and give a weight. I constantly need motivation.

Hi gals,
I've been reading this thread since about the time reptogirl started Stillmans's. I really liked the way everyone - especially Frances and Foxy were there for her with advice and inspiration. Good luck to all the newbies, and if it would be OK, I'd like to join in as well. I attempted to start Stillman's on Sunday, 4/1. Did a pretty good job until I went back to work on Monday. By afternoon, I had stressed myself out so much that the local Target store was calling my name to the chip aisle. I caved. Sad thing is that under normal circumstances, I don't really go after chips. Oh, yeah, and the box of Little Debbie Swiss Rolls somehow ended up in my cart and eventually in my mouth. I've pretty much had issues with weight all my life. I am good at maintaining weight, just usually not the right weight. After gaining about 90 lbs after my mom passed away in Oct. 2010, last June 1st, I decided I had to get some weight off for my upcoming 30th H.S. reunion, which is 7/27/12. Initial goal was to go from 290 to 150 in 13 months. I started out strong, doing my own program (basically very low cal) and going to WW, but basically paying only to weigh in. I went from 290 to 246 in about 3 months. Then I decided to start working with a trainer last Sept. I know I was adding muscle, but the scale stayed the same. I basically was gaining/losing the same 5 lbs for months. My wallet became very strained and I had to stop - that and a torn ligament in my wrist! Now it's April. I am still right about where I was at Xmas. 245.6 is my lowest weight. I just cannot break into the 230s, etc. I mentioned before I am a stress eater, and the thought of not at least being under 210 for my reunion is really stressing me out. And I can self-saboutage like no one else!! LOL! |

![]() Tara, and nice to meet you! I bet you can get to 210 by that reunion![]() Gaitlyn and Img607 don't forget your multivitamins and a biotin a day wouldn't hurt you either. This woe lacks vitamins and you need the supplement. Also a nice liquid B-complex, will help. B vitamins really are great for stress. When people get into lossing weight fast they sometimes will lose hair and a biotin 5000 mcgs can keep that from happening. Plus it's good for your hair. Hi Repto, How is it going? |
