Just got back from the business trip w/ DH. Now it's time to unpack and try to get organized again.

I took my cooler with safe foods and also brought my coconut oil/ hot choc. mix so had that every day. We had 2 dinners and 2 lunches in restaurants but feel like I chose very wisely and did not over do. I had lots of fish! and one meal was chicken. So, I'm good.

Even though the scale went down today, it was up yesterday so I'm still at the same weight. It's all good though. I'm losing slowly lately, but I am losing and that's what really counts.

It's day1 of Stills for me. I so haven't been good the past month. Not since Christmas really. A few days good, a few days bad etc. But the last couple of weeks have been baaad. I know I've put on weight-I can feel it. In weird places like my back!! Jeans, trousers, shorts etc are a lot tighter. Skirts and dresses and leggings hide a multitude!!!I haven't weighed---and I don't really intend to!! I don't want to see the damage. But enough is enough--if I do continue the way I've been going I really will put weight on. and that so isn't happening!!
I've got hols in 3 weeks so between now and the 27th--nothing bad shall pass these lips. And I've got to get back to regular exercise. It's been very little lately.
Cool though--I was sick--my better half gave me the flu. He stayed and went home yesterday. Anyway I was meant to go back to work yesterday but I rang up the Doctor's office and asked would it be possible to get my cert. extended for a couple of days, I wasn't feeling 100% etc-----and she gave me a cert til next Wednesday!!! Looooove the german health system!! I didn't even have to go in to see her!!You'd never get that at home--you literally have to be dying to get a suck cert off the Doctor!! I just wanted today off!! But cooool!!!
Sooo it fits in nicely with Stills. I'll be able to concentrate on good habits for a few days!!

I love shiritaki noodles! I just got the yam fibre ones for the first time and just ate the whole package! I usually use the tofu variety and its good in a stir fry but nothing else really so I got the yam ones and made a sunomono salad and it was great so then I put the rest of the package and my second package in my stir fry soo good I may have to limit myself to once a week cuz I don't think I will see a loss tomorrow but I am ok with that cuz I got to have great cold noodle salad and something besides meat in my stir fry.

If my bf likes them then I have something new to add to the menu besides chicken breast for me and a side of veggies for him.

Weird thing is I don't normally like noodles so maybe this is why I like these ones?

Good Saturday morning! I am still sick - I just can't shake this. I am beyond frustrated but hopeful that the next round of meds will hurry the healing process along. Needles to say, I'm not on plan. I am enjoying all the success around here though! I'm going to join in soon!

If you are going to start tomorrow, I suggest shopping and organizing your fridge and kitchen today would be a good idea. Hard boil some eggs for an easy go-to food. I buy lots of protein including fat free, lactose free milk and fat free, plain, Greek yogurt. I like to cook up some chicken breasts so I have plenty in the fridge when I need em. I even sometimes throw a couple of sirloin steaks on the George Foreman grill and get those cooked up so they are handy.

I also buy lots of frozen tilapia and salmon. I like the ones that have each fillet in it own individually wrapped bag so you can thaw out one or two at a time.

Buy Zip-n-Steam bags! They are awesome for cooking anything fast in the microwave when you need it quick. I throw a frozen tilapia fillet in one, put it in the microwave for 2 minutes and voila! Zip-n-Steam has a website full of yummy recipes. You should all check it out.

One of my favorites is the western omelet. I tweak it for Stills, but made as is for DD and DH the other day. They loved it! No dirty pans or bowls. You just crack the eggs right into the bag and add the other ingredients and then zap it. You could do plain eggs that way as well.

Glad you are on board!

GT: Hope you are feeling better!

I have decided I will never stay off the scale for more than a day or two again. It's too easy for me to get into a comfortable state of denial.

I am still writing down my daily weight in my journal and also on graph paper. I started August 1st so it's been over 7 months now! I have taped all the pages together so I can spread it out on my kitchen breakfast bar and study it and feel good about it.

Wowzers, I lost fast at first. That was when I started doing the Dukan Attack diet. I wanted that "first decisive weight loss" he talks about. And, I got it! I lost 14 pounds in 10 days. Now I'm down a total of -34.4 because I just saw a new low on the scale yesterday.

I'm sort of doing a FrankenDiet I was trying to describe it to someone recently. I've been getting noticed a lot for my loss in weight and inches and people are asking how I'm gettin' it done.

So I heard myself saying, "Well, I'm tracking my weight on the Weight Watcher's site and incorporating principles from Stillman/Dukan/Johnson/and also the GI Diet book." FrankenDiet, right?

I'll never be able to eat a lot of carbs. They trigger cravings and make me gain weight fast. However, doing Dukan's Cruise Diet where you add in non-starchy veggies every two days does not cause cravings at all.

In December I started experimenting with Dr. Johnson's Alternate Day Diet which is calorie cycling. You basically eat less calories one day and more the next and keep rotating. It's a pretty cool way to eat! I'm lovin' it. But, I still enter what I eat on the WW on line food tracker and still watch the carbs and eat lots of protein as Stillman and Dukan recommend. And if I do have carbs, I choose from the "green lights" lists in the GI Diet book.

Is this TMI??

My losses have slowed down, but I'm still losing inches so that means the felt is melting and going away. I figure the scale will catch up when my body is ready and when enough fat burns up that it can show on the scale.

I think you should get your scales out, GT. What's that saying? I can't change what I won't acknowledge.

You are the Queen of the Stillman Peeps! You know how to get 'er done!

Good morning all! Today is day 1 for me. Scale this morning ; 240.8. It still hurts...how do I weight 65 lbs more than I did at this time last year? What a nightmare...
OK. That's it for me, enough woe is me attitude. I'm here and I'm starting something to agressively make a difference. First meal today, I had eggs w/ spices, hot sauce & feta cheese with a bit of lean ham. I thought I did great! Then I came on here and saw some advice to cut out the cheese all together. Do all of you guys do that? Yesterday I bought some fat free shredded cheese to add to chicken & steak, and some light baby bell & light cheese sticks for snacks at work.
Alright, well I'll be back to check in later! I work tonight (I work night shift 7p-7a) so that's when I anticipate this being harder for me. Good vibes to all!

I'd say keep the cheese as long as you are still losing and cut it if you are doing everything right but not losing, I lose fine if I eat cheese in moderation but I never do so I just avoid it haha

At first stick to plan exactly and once you are comfortable find out what you can get away with, yam has her coconut oil, cc eats higher fat, gt still has veggies amd I eat more whip cream in a week than Starbucks uses in a year haha

I think lettuce is my trigger food, I was doing great all week and I had lettuce yesterday and then I wanted to eat everything in sight.

I made a flax seed minute muffin it was good for my craving but I am up today, hopefully it gets things moving though so I am not too worried haha
