Thanks for the salmon tip GT, I am def going to try that, worried about loose skin but it may be unavoidable as I have been overweight for soo long.

I am all about adding omega 3's by eating and in supplement, good fats are essential, I will go primal/paelo after losing my weight. Theres so much good reading out there about good whole food less the carbs. Dukan rocks it too and has a great structure to get back to normalish eating after losing

Well said, Ratt..........I can still feel the cringe when I was eight years old, so proud of my new elec tric blue Speedo tank, heading for the pool while m father was visiting me in So Fla, and he blurted out God are you fat.

I look at the pictures now and see a skinny kid with a teeny pot belly and skinny arms with elbows that look like the could puncture a valloon......and the fat goggles never left. I saw a hippo ever time I looked in the mirror.

IMHO, paleo IS normal, grains are not in the blueprint for me.

Whew! Well, I got in a workout today for sure!

38F and raining on top of the 4" or so of snow from yesterday this morning. Temps are going to drop like a stone from there, so as the rain just turned to snow it was time to act.
Got the twin GMC's fired up and cleared off while DH led the brigade in the old Ford plow truck, clearing first the paddock then the rest around the barn.
Moved the trucks in front of the shop, more plowing. I sanded and salted the stairs leading from the house to the barn after clearing them.
While DH was down on the road in front of the house clearing the drive I cleaned off the trucks completely, because when it does freeze I want wipers and things working.
Now all that's left is to clear off the front steps on the house.
Perfect timing, the winds are kicking up.
Tomorrow's high 25F then below zero in the evening. It figures, I have to go out and forage........brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

CC: what an awful thing for a parent to say! I can relate though. My mother never failed to remind me how fat I was. I weighed 125 on my wedding day and still looked in the mirror and saw a fat person! In my 30's and 40's when I kept my weight at 140-145 some people at church actually took my aside and told me I was too thin and I needed to eat! Good grief! I about fell over! I've always felt fat. And I think it comes from parents and brothers and sisters telling me YOU ARE FAT. It's just part of me. Fat is me. Me is fat. Stupid thing is, most of them were/are fat!!!

looking back I was kind of gangly, tall for my age, mile long legs.

Sad how the scars never heal........until Stills and you guys, now I'm back with a vengeance!!!!!

I've been post stalking you every day since you started the Eat, Weigh, Post thread. wow! Every day you drop, drop, drop! Like, -10 in 4 days? You are a fast loser. Congrats!

I'm not really kickin' it right now with the eating. I don't lose fast usually and that's why I was so pumped when I first tried Dukan and dropped the first 14 in 10 days. That was amazing for my body.

I'm heading to Florida tomorrow and gonna be there a week. I will stick with lots of protein and generally LC. But I'm not gonna suffer! Got a lot of social events, luncheons, dinners to attend. There will be wine involved! but, I'm gonna take advantage of the great fitness center at the hotel. And the pool. And I'm gonna go on some great walks that will involve shopping.

I think my body is in maintain mode or just resting at this 200 mark before getting ready for me to do a full attack and drop 5-10 more. Maintaining is good sometimes. I'm pretty happy with myself. I feel good. I feel fit. and my jeans are a comfy size 12. When I started Aug. 1st I wore a tight size 18. (largest size I've ever had to buy.) I've learned to be pretty kind and gentle with myself and that's a good place.

OK guys I am in my fat pants today. my mom had to buy these for me a couple years ago because none of my other pants fit and I was depressed about it, I have been scared to weigh myself the last couple days and am Worried I made it back into the 160's after being in the 140's since last April (I think) thats quite scary, Can someone give me a much needed kick in the bum?

Headache is nearly gone today, and I think I'm getting my sucrose-induced coma licked, too! I like having a brain.

You got that right! I don't think there is such a thing as "constructive criticism". There is criticism and there is encouragement. Nothing else.

I went MIA during the holidays and I am so ashamed. I have literally gained so much weight back that all my jeans no longer fit. The entire month of December I ate carbs like crazy. Then I fully intended to go back to Stillmans this month but we moved and my motivation got lost in a box somewhere. I feel disgusting. I am terrified to weigh myself. I start school again first week of Feb and I'll look like a cow. Oh God help! lol

It's crazy how childhood things affect us. I can remember exaxtely where I was and what I was wearing the first time someone told me I was fat--i was a perfectly normal child!M i can also remember again where I was and what I was wearing where my Mum told me I had lost weight. ( I had the flu for two weeks!). Again I remember the exact time as a teenager I decided I was going to be really really skinny-way skinnier than my skinny cousin!!!!

well, especially because when we're young our folks are supposed to be our anchors, our cheerleaders, our supporters.......and somerimes even as adults we need that. They need it from us, too. Sometimes the dysfunction I see amazes me. But we can't change them, so let's change us!

God loves you, honey. Shame is for yesterday. Been there, done that, moved on. You will,too. Deep breaths. No loathing allowed here. I loathed for years and I will absolutely not let anyone go through that. It is what it is-temporary.
