Newbie here...kinda. second round of stillmans for me as well. Going to do qwl plan this time. Nevr touching processed food again!!! Looking fwd to see the scale go backwards again. I wanna be back in a size 2 for my wedding

Just a pop in. .

Doing great . . .only one "bad" day since my New Year. . kinda went astray when I woke up with a migraine. . refused to cook and that led to problems when the kids were hungry which led to "crack". . evil carbs.. LOL

I'm still doing my WW / Low carb thing and it seems to be working. .at least I'm not starving all the time . .I just can't give up my veggies. . I'm addicted and I'll admit it. .

you guys seem to be doing great. . so happy that we have all the positive vibes going on. I'm gonna weigh tomorrow (haven't . only once since I started and it scared the dickens out of me. .). .

and. .all this talk about exercise made me decide to dust off the WII and take it for a spin tonight. The Hula Hooop and boxing contests are killers. . .

Cheese stalls me yet I cant stop eating it! I love my little bit of cheese on my cucumber as a snack although if I stopped at cheese on my cucumber that would probably be ok, I think the problem with cheese is I have no control over how much I eat, I can't just have the recommended amount I need about 6 times that! haha

I know what you mean. Oh, and if I eat cheddar cheese, I rummage through the cupboard to find crackers.....and then a little red wine would be good with it........

Good evening fellow travelers! And welcome new ones! Tomorrow is weigh in. I have a week in! And I must say that I'm feeling very good about it, while experiencing what I think is induction flu. It has been slow coming, probably because I've eaten out so many times this week. And true to my word, I'm not complaining!

I will be going on vacation the first two weeks of February. I'm going to spend some time with friends and my son in Michigan. It will be very hard to stay on plan at my friend's house - she does not agree with low carb. But I'll do my best and I'll only be there for a few days. I'll spend some of the two weeks at home - with the phone off! Anyway, it will be good to get away and I'll be feeling great by then!

Yam - you look great! Such an inspiration!

Thanks! The scale drives me crazy - days I lose I feel great and days I don't .....well let's just say those days can be a diet buster! So, after much trial and error, I've gone to a once a week weigh in. I hope to see at least a 3 pound loss!

Hi to all from newbie Mike

This is a great site, hope you don't mind a male member joining the forum.

As a bit of background, I've been dieting for 6 months or so, counting calories (ugh) with some minor success. [220 to 203]. Read about Stillman's theory last week and this is the end of my Day #2 under his plan. Excellent so far, not at all hungry on less calories than last few weeks. Love it.

Anyway, wishing you all well. If I can be of any use, please feel free to call upon me.

TaaaaaaaaDaaaaaa! 3.5 pounds gone! Not bad considering my week! This week I will only be eating out once, so hopefully I'll see the big first weeks loss! But if not, that is ok because I feel so much better being on plan, and slow and steady also wins the race!

This week I will begin exercising. I'm actually looking forward to it and to how good I feel when I'm in the zone - on plan eating and exercise!

Hey IM!! I guess as long as we keep climbing back on the horse, we are victorious! Before June of 2010...I had a pattern of dieting for 3-6 months...then going carb crazy for a year or so...

I have visited carb-land more times than I should...but I haven't stayed there more than a few days...and eventually I'd like to make my visits less frequent...maybe not at all.

I've never had a migraine...but they must be awful. I hope you are feeling better now!

Congrats for getting back to exercise! That's one item I just can't muster the energy to do. I know I would feel better if I made time for it!
