Good morning! I am hard at work this morning. Ummm actually, I'm in my study returning phone calls and working on the bulletin. And surfing the net and pretending I'm working hard this morning!

I'm on plan but I suspect that Thursday's weigh in is not going to be spectacular. My thought that I had a fair bit of time where I would not have to eat out has been proved false! Alas. But I've made good choices and will show some loss. And I feel good and the cravings are non-existent, and life is good! Happy Tuesday!

O I need opinions all.....considering the switch to Stevia.......any thoughts? Does it bake well? Splenda can be so iffy in baking.

Beck: your photo! You look so cute and great! I agree. The weight is water. Scales are mysterious.

MMs: I agree that veggies are so low carb, they really don't cause problems unless you chow down on a truckload of them.

Mims: Fingers crossed for some weight to drop.

My "official" WI day is Friday. However, I think I'm going to start averaging every 7 days because I weigh every day and that gives a better picture overall. Happy about that new discovery.

Yesterday I worked out like a crazy woman. Had sooooooo much energy and it felt great.

There was only one other person in the gym besides me. It was a young, tall, dark handsome studd. He jogged for 20 minutes on a treadmill right in front of me (nice view. Shorts. ). Then he did some light weight lifting. I had my music blaring in my iPod earbuds. He came up to my elliptical before he left and started talking. Had to pull out the earbud and say "huh??" like a dummie.

He told me I was really kickin' it and he could not believe the energy and endurance I have! He said, "Way to go! You look great!" with a thumbs up and then told me to have a great day.

Cool! I'm the girl who stayed away from the gym for a long time because I was too embarrassed about how I looked! Wooo-Hooo!

Anyway, I did one hour of high intensity interval cardio on the elliptical. Then I did one hour and 15 minutes of weight lifting and body sculpting. Then, nut that I am, I drove a few blocks to the community center and did 2 sets of 20 on the leg press @ 140 pounds. I almost went back home and got my bathing suit because it was so sunny and warm out and management just put clean water in the jacuzzi. Pool looked inviting, but I know they don't heat it in the winter.

Usually cravings really hit me at night...but today it was early in the day. When they hit at night I can usually fight them off by reminding myself how very PROUD of myself I will be in the morning if I resist tonight.

I love waking up in the morning knowing I'm cleaned out of carbs...

But oh, on those mornings that I gave in the night before...I feel so sluggish and my face/eyes are puffy....

I'm just writing this stuff out to get it grooved in my brain.

Last year at this time I was doing so good...and then around late spring I started indulging every now and then...

What a battle it is!


Has anyone read Michael Eades latest blog? He talks about an experiment he and his wife did over the holidays eating moderate carbs...pretty interesting. This is a lifetime choice I'm making...not just a quick fix to lose weight...cutting out carbs is a good thing to do for ourselves.

I just wish those carbs didn't taste so GOOD!! Some folks who have truly converted say that the thought of carbs turns them off. I'd like to get there!!
