good morning! Ahhh, I have a low key day ahead of me. I'm going to do some sewing and some straightening of the house and then this evening I'm going to a concert to hear Christmas music. It is put on by the local choral society. Yesterday was exhausting, but today will be lovely.
I have a question - what do you keep on hand for snacks. I have been eating two meals a day - breakfast and then around 2. That is when I get hungry. Sometimes I' get hungry in the evening for a bite, but I haven't found the right lite snack. I think what I'm eating is too high fat for evening. I have a big bag of pepperoni that is left over from a dish I made and that is what I've been snacking on. Ok - I'm off to chill this fine morning! |

I try to keep turkey burgers cooked on hand. I might try turkey meatballs next round, smaller easy grab and shove in mouth food. Cottage cheese on hand always, and yogurt although I haven't been eating as much lately. It's turned cold lately and the idea of cold food gives me the chills. I do have two quarts of chicken soup on hand for these cold days, just a good strong broth with shredded chicken, nothing elaborate. |

Don't wait until New Years to make resolutions. Why not put some healthy mini-resolutions in place and save yourself some work?
For example: • If I get seconds, half of my plate has to be vegetables. • I'll focus on actually tasting the food that took days to prepare. • If I overeat at a meal, I will let it go, free of any domino effect. Resist food pushers, even if they're family. Everyone has a doting relative who comes close to literally forcing food into your belly. Let's be blunt: a food coma that requires a change to sweatpants is not attractive. So, keep in mind my favorite "m-word" of the moment: mindfulness. Enjoy the holidays in a new way. |

Still on plan, meat meat meat. Starting day 6. I am going to a PartyLite party today. The girl hosting it is doing low carb adkins style, so she said there will b e some low carb snacks. I still plan to eat before I leave so I am not tempted by anything. Low carb is not good enough for me. I want no carb. :D

:up: Bratty! Day 6 is awesome. . you have to be feeling better! I love when I'm in control. . Strayed on Friday night. . (Mexican resturant. . what on earth can one order there and stay on plan? Very little.. I might add.. !!)

Yesterday was rough. The Partylite party.... I ate about 2 hours before the party and was hoping we would only be there for about and hour. We were there for 4 hours, plus it is an hour drive back home. It was suppose to be all low carb but the host decided to go off her diet for the day. It was a HUGE party spread of food.
However I was good! I only at a few pieces of cheese and turkey lunch meat to kill the hunger. More sodium than I would have liked but I am too happy for myself to care. This is the first time I have been in a social situation with food and not indulged. I even behaved while my husband and kids had buttery popcorn when we got home for movie night. I know I may not have the ability to do this every time I am faced with this, but I feel better knowing I have done it and I can do it again. My next hurdle will be Christmas dinner. I should be 4 weeks into Stillman at that point. |

Quick update, op went well...just tired all the time right now...have not weighed but know I have lost some more weight since last here...will weigh tomorrow. Hope you are all doing well...missed you guys. x

Busy weekend gathering for the feast.......we delayed Thanksgiving due to mum unable to come until Thursday........I practically had to bungee the fridge shut.......:laugh: not hungry today, two cubes of swiss and a half a chicken breast........must look smashing to pick up the folks at the airport. Have not decided to be wearing the elf cap or pick up a reindeer horn headband.......I always go bearing a gift, a baloon or flowers, this time it shall be hot cocoa......it's lows in the fifties in Miami and it will only be highs in mid thirties when they arrive. Mum doesn't mind cuz she gets to wear her cowboy boots and fur coat. |
