It 'tis beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We had snow too, but not much. Last evening I was the guest at a home for mentally challenged adults. I sat at table with several residents and ate salad with way too much dressing on it, spaghetti with sauce and meatballs, green beans and Italian bread. The residents helped make the dinner. I ate it. This is one of the challenges I face - I will not - not eat the gifts of love that are prepared for me. Fortunately it doesn't happen too often, but it sure keeps my weight loss on the slow trace!

Hello peeps, checking in Sunday 8.30am... yesterday I ate a load of rubbish, even chocolate which I rarely ever eat because I just don't have a desire for sweet stuff. Anyway, I don't feel at all bad about it...two weeks until Christmas and I am going to stick to plan until then apart from the 22nd when I will allow myself some wine and a few low carb veggies. I bought a fresh tree, potted which I will plant in the garden after Xmas. It's been sitting in the wrapping it came in for two days, so I think it's time for me to get out the decorations and let the kids dress the tree. I really fancy bacon and eggs this morning but I am clean out of bacon... will have to get out of my PJ's and pop to the shop...or maybe I'll just throw on my UGGS and be done with it. It's nice to crave on plan food!

Hi peeps! It's quiet around here!! Oh I've eaten rubbish too--and I deffy don't feel good about it! I haven't actually put on any weight-which is strange cos when I don't eat much I don't lose but when I eat more I don't gain either. I've been really busy with work-this second job is a killer. My workouts have fallen by the wasteside too-it's about 2-3 times a week. I have to get more organised! I don't feel Christmassy at all this year-dunno what's wrong with me!!! I adore Christmas!! Can't believe it's only 2 weeks away-I've nothing done-not even one pressie bought! Eek!! Ok gotta go! Yup I've to work on a Sunday-kill me now!! BBL

{{{{{{{{{hug}}}}}}}}} Hey y'all!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whew! It's been a good time with Mummy and Daddums but the good times have ended and they are bundled up onto the big bird back to Miami.
A good time was had by all, did the turkey thing and the oooh and aaah at the lights on all the homes on the way in from the airport, and our Yule decore on the house made everyone nice and jolly. A special thanks to Glenfiddich single malt twelve year old, it makes Daddums a happy guy. (his limit is two, just enough to be a tad less reserved.)

I see it's been a few silent nights around here, my apologies and of course the holiday madness will make us forgive each other for not being around so much.
So kiss your pets, hug your kids and remember, today is a gift.........

I made it through pretty unscathed save for a very small helping of stuffing, mashed and sweet potatoes at the big feast, which we did on Saturday.
I used the leftover sweet potatoes in DH's Sunday pancakes......not even a double take of 'hey, these taste different'....so if you don't want to waste food but don't want to eat it, there are creative ways to spirit away those leftovers into someone else's mouth

Not much happening on the boards lately but I guess this is a busy month for just about everyone, these three jobs are killing me haha just by diet alone, I am trying to be good an make food but I have been working 14+ hour days and I'm jut too tired to premake food so I have been eating crap! Hopefully I cam get back to stills cuz my body feels so sluggish and on so little sleep I need my body running like a well oiled machine haha

I can't believe I used to eat like this all the time and I never realized how bad it made me feel!

Hello friends! I'm heading out in a few minutes to another church party. Had a lunch gathering yesterday. I don't even want to know what the scale is saying - that's why I'm not talking to it! : ) I'm loving the holidays but must admit that I'm anxious to get back to the plan.

Tried to change my avitar and thought it worked, but I guess not. Oh well.

I'm going to try to stop in more often. Weight wise I've been maintaining, but now I think it's time to work harder to get rid of another 20 lbs.

I've been working out with a personal trainer at our local gym and wowzers! What a difference it makes in the fat burning and muscle building.

I'm wearing size 12 jeans. Just had an awesome shopping trip and bought some new ones with lots of bling on the pockets.

Was just remembering hanging out here lots in 2010. Hope to do more of that in 2012. So glad this thread is still here! You guys rock!

Yeah! Yam-Yam is back!

GT - have a safe trip home!

The thread will be strong again come the new year. It is hard to find time and to stay on plan right now. I am on plan today and will be probably until Tuesday. I figure every day, even though not many in a row, that I can be on plan is good!

And on that note I've got to put the finishing touches on the service for tomorrow.

GT and Mim: YAY!!!!!!! I kept popping back in to check for a while and finally you were here! W000-H00000!

Feels good to be back.

GT: You HAVE to update me on your marvelous stats! Gosh! If memory serves me correctly, back in 2010 when I found this place you and I were kind of neck and neck were we not? Am I right? So you knocked off a whole person since I've been here. In such a short time! Congrats and WTG!!! Do tell some wonderful and helpful secrets!

Mim: You are so right. Any day on plan is a good day. Several in a row is even better!

As for me, I've been focusing on living "real" life and keeping the losses I have attained. I also started working hard on getting back my love of exercise. Had the opportunity to join a small gym that is not too far away and I jumped at it. They brought a very capable personal trainer on board and I feel so blessed to be able to work with her.

It's amazing to see the inches go down, down, down. And, the clothing sizes go down as well as I work with weight lifting and strength training. I feel so great.

At 5'9" tall, I'm not looking to become a string bean. I weighed 180 at my son's wedding about 8 years ago. Boy, I look good in those pictures because I was working out and had a low body fat percentage. For starters, I want to go there or 185. Then I'll hang at that weight for a while and let my body get used to it. It will probably be 2013 before I decide to go any lower, if even I do.

Right now I'd like to be 185 by mid February or March.

I'm not into suffering too much, though! ha! BRB

Just got a nice phone call from a family member. Things are really coming together for Christmas. All our decorations are up. Shopping done. Wrapping half done. Some baking (for others! NOT for me!). I will hit the grocery store on Thursday to purchase the Christmas ham and all the trimmings.

My favorite part of Christmas is seeing my grandies open their presents. We have 5 grand kids and they are all so darn cute!

Our church is having their annual Cantata sung by the choir tomorrow. It's always so fabulous.

Well, I'm heading to the kitchen. Will pop in again later to see if anyone is around. I totally understand how things on the boards slow down on weekends and during the holiday season. As it should be!

Yay! I finally remembered how to change my avatar. duh!

This is a picture I took right off our balcony with my little cheapie camera when we went to Maui for a week in September. We had our own private beach and it was amazing. There were huge sea turtles playing and swimming in the water and you could see them right under the surface of the water. I loved that place! It was called the "Kuleana Resort" and is a time share exchange. I would go back in a minute!

Hope you all are having a great weekend. I roasted a turkey breast. Yum! My house smells sooooooo good and now I'm munching on delicious turkey.

Good morning! My dd, granddaughters and I are heading to the mall! We are going to attempt a Santa picture. I have my doubts it will happen though as the 4 year old is terrified of Santa, and the 3 year old follows her lead. The 1 year old will sit on his lap! It will be fun anyway. We are going to lunch and just some general shopping. I actually am finished and have the presents wrapped. I enjoy one holiday hustle and bustle trip to a mall. (One however, is sufficient!)

I'm going to buy a total gym soon. I use one in therapy, but since I don't make it to therapy anymore, I'm going to get one. And on that note, I'm off!
