THanks for the words Mim! You are so right...
IM, there is no judgement here because we all struggle in the same ways. I did great this past weekend, but LAST weekend, I ate, in one setting, a whole medium Domino's cheese pizza, about 20 double stuffed oreos AND a full sized Kit-Kat bar...AND a full sized Hershey w/almonds bar. And I could have EASILY eaten more... The next day (SUnday) I ate much the same... WHen I eat carbs, I just can't be satisfied...what is wrong with me?!?!? Is it physical?? Mental??? I just don't understand, but I do understand that once I get that out of my system and get into steady ketosis...then I can be in control. Last week and this week, I've been eating grilled chicken, or a grilled chicken salad. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the BLT Cobb Salad from Wendy's. I can eat it with the lemon ceasar dressing and it doesn't kick me out of ketosis. It's my favorite fast food salad. It's been a couple of months since I've been below 162...so I feel like I'm on the right track. I have been drinking coffee with HWC. I know that is not Stillman's....but it really satisfies and holds me till the next meal. Keeps me in ketosis...doesn't seem to induce cravings. The real test will be when TOM comes...that always seems to be the test! I do think something in my vitamins was keeping me out of ketosis...because now that I'm only taking Biotin, I'm steady. I do want to find some good Vitamin D3 to take. I'm just babbling... Love & support to you all!! We can do this. It's never too late! Look at my Join Date...I've been tinkering with LC for a long time, but I've finally achieved some success and maintained it...I just can't stop now!! Neither can any of you! If we slip, just jump right back on... And be aware of sneaky foods that trigger...mine are nuts, yogurt & nut butters... |

Lost 2 lbs, sure it is water weight, since I just started back on Stills. Now at least I am working with an even number on the scale. Must stay busy today!!!
Tuesdays plan 2 eggs, 1 oz cheese, tea with stevia 3 organic chicken dogs with mustard, tea with stevia Challenge for the day; drinking ALL the water! No sneaky trigger foods! Just a light body by the end of the month! Praying... : ) |

Becky123; Thanks for the Kudos! I really really reallllly appreciate it! I am very stressed about situations, but realize that losing weight is a productive diversion from things out of my control. It is a good thing. And I am just going to whisk through each day in October because it is going to fly by very very fast!! In no time, I will be at least 15 lbs lighter, and 20 by the first couple of weeks in November!! I will feel better about what I am wearing and about my body, and that is something I can control. I know I will be amazed at the beautiful doors that November will bring. And I am getting ready for it now!
Everyone stay encouraged and have a blessed day. |

Morning!
My run was great yesterday, I actually enjoyed it which is a first for me I usually just enjoy it being done haha I guess that means I should add more time to my run and less walking, I am doing the couch to 10 k program and then after that I want to train for a half marathon that is in June hopefully that is enough time to train. I will need to start running on an indoor track though because there is no way I am running outside in -45 weather haha Last edited by Mar922; 10-04-2011 at 10:46 AM.. |

Hey everybody. I had a rough stillman week last week! It all started with a coupon for $1 off 2 bags of pretzel M&M's and a trip to Target.... it went down hill from there. I ate so much carb filled crap on Wednesday, was pretty good Thursday, but went to Disneyland Friday and ate whatever I wanted. So I started back on my diet Saturday and am back at my pre-pig out weight today thank goodness. I don't even know how much I gained because I was too much of a wuss to weigh myself afterwards.
So, today I have already eaten 6 strips of low-sodium carb free turkey bacon and 3 eggs. I am really hungry, perhaps due to the chilly weather, so I do not plan on starving myself as long as i stay on program. Other than than, I am having mid-terms this week, already did one yesterday & one today, so that's a bit stressful. That's about it for me! |

CC! - I got a jacket! I was checking on my favorite - the brown one and there was a bunch of "you may like this" and one was my size so I put a bid in and won it for less than the cheapest of the others. Hopefully it will not be a case of "you get what you pay for" and rather a case of: with a little help from my friend I am a savvy shopper!

I just got back from Sam's Club. I should be set for for a month, with the exception of eggs. I have been thinking about what I'm going to eat for Thanksgiving. I'll be experimenting with pumpkin soup and pumpkin bread. I'm going to be alone - and have decided that that is what I want. If I go to friends I will eat way too much! So, I'll have a low carb day with a special pumpkin treat. I haven't been eating anything sweet. I gave up pop a couple months ago and I don't make any sweet treats. But I will do for Thanksgiving!
Tomorrow is a lunch meeting at a home where lunch is prepared for us so it is eat what is served. This meeting is once a month. Thursday is weigh in! |

cool, is it leather???????????
I love my leathers, some of them are ancient and they wear like iron with no care and never go out of style...... Last edited by CCGirl; 10-04-2011 at 06:27 PM.. |

yes, it is leather! I like leather too! I figure this will last me until spring but then again, even with a bit of a weight loss, some of my clothes are uncomfortable big! I'm constantly amazed by how many inches, at least in the beginning low - carb melts! And even if I shrink out of it, I'm out less than 20 bucks!

I keep my recipes all folded up in a sandwich baggie, lol, and this one is all crusty with dried canned pumpkin. I should probably re-write it someday. Here it is:
1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup canned pumpkin 1/2 cup oil Beat together add one egg beat --------------------------- New bowl- sift together 2 cups flour 2tsp baking powder 1tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp salt ---MIX all together---- Add in 1tsp baking soda dissolved in 1tsp of milk 1tsp vanilla extract 1 cup chocolate chips Bake 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. size? up to you... i make them average size |
