Hi peeps! Eugh back at work and it's been crazy!!
Diet has been awful too. Seriously it would take up a whole page to say what I've eaten-crazy and completely out of control. I've got to get a grip. I look awful too-my face is grey and drawn looking, my eyes are puffy and bloodsot. I know I've put on weight too-though I'm not gonna weigh cos that would depress me even more-I know my clothes are tighter. I feel disgusted at myself. .....but tomorow's a new day...so I'm all stocked up on tuna!! Got The Thin Commandments Book so I'm reading it!! It's good enough. It's more about strategies and being prepared etc. though. I am--when I'm on plan-lunch is always with me, I never go to the supermarket hungry, I don't buy junk or have it anywhere near me etc. There's nothing in there about how to switch off feelings and cravings--I just want the hypnotherapy!!!

This is the best paragraph of the book!!!!
Why weight loss is better than Prozac!!! When it come to mood elevation, I have found that all the chocolates of France, all the pizza of Italy, or all the ice-cream of Häagen Dazs will never elevate mood as much as losing weight, looking better, and feeling in control again. The nost effective Prozac in the world is to take charge of your weight. I have a favourite mantra "Happy or sad, rich or poor, it's still better being thin!" Even if you want to be miserable today, it's better to be thin and miserable than fat and miserable. Anyway you look at it, thin always comes out ahead! Editing to say---that should be laminated read every single day!! I don't think I've ever read something that expressed that thought so well!! Selectivity is a part of living at peace with ourselves, and personal happiness is living out the vision we have for our lives. If your vision is to see yourself as a thin person for all the years to come, then you will have to know that your favourite size has to come before your favourite food.

Living you life trim and healthy is far more important than worrying if a strategy looks 'crazy' ( having your problem foods in a lockable box if you live with others who can eat it) When we dispense the need to be 'normal', life gets easier. What works for you is what's normal in your life.

Stop resenting what you do to keep your body healthy and attractive, don't feel deprived but liberated.
Personally for me that was the most helpful thought in losing the weight. I actually never resented the many many cans of tuna!! He!! Well ok it is kind of a live-hate relationship now--I love what it does for my body.....but yuuuuuuuk!!! |

Actually I've always thought that's true. It's why QWL works so well-not talking weight-wise, but pyschologically speaking. I know I'd go crazy on WW or something similar. People think that QWL must be really hard, because of the tiny allowable food list--but I think it's precisely that, that makes it easy.

The only one thing against that thought is though-that if you really eat that strictly for so long--then eventually you'll give in and eat everything in sight. ( if you're that type of person)

Had a pretty good day. I added bit of fat today. I had a turkey burger with Baconaise on it.
It was really yummy and a nice break from the chicken and tuna.I am off to bed. See you girls in the morning. |

Hi girls!!
Posting real quick before I go to bed, so will catch up more with you all tomorrow! It's waaaaay past my bedtime! Last night's dinner out was great! Had kobe beef sliders, sans bun, and an ahi tuna tower with some avocado & mango in it. I had a few bites of the mango. I had 2 glasses of wine, and woke up same weight today! I'm soooo ok with that! Today I had bacon & eggs, then my workout shake during workout. I got home from work around 6 and fell asleep...was soooo tired. When I woke up, I felt lethargic and like I had dead, brick legs. I made a bowl of oatmeal & gobbled it up! Darnit. Well, I'd say calorie wise I'm fine today, but will be on plan with meat only tomorrow. My refeed is OVER! xoxxo Lindsey |

So, obviously I have fallen off the grid again--but I did have my first day of "clean" Stillman's eating yesterday.
I know I'm not doing a very good job of getting on here and offering the support that all of us need--it's just that I am so busy with work and life, and it's difficult for me to check in regularly. And, of course, there's been the shame of the last several weeks, when my eating choices have been abysmal and I've gained weight.Sigh. Hope I'm on the right track now. That, said, I think it's only fair to all of you that I bow out gracefully, as I simply don't get on here enough. I adore all of you! Keep up the great work, and best wishes to you in all your endeavors. V. |

Sometimes I get weak due to the internal struggle...the cravings...but if I can keep my eyes on the daily reward of being in better health, looking better than I have in years...I'm hoping that will keep me on track or at least get me back on track before too much damage is done! |

I had a nightmare last night!!!! I was in some town and everywhere I went people had displays of all these delicious baked goods! They would offer me things like whip cream smothered donuts and I would refuse them but somehow I would end up taking a bite anyways. How nutty is that?!
