I woke up in the middle of the night with the worst headache. Motrin does not seem to be helping much. I can not wait till tomorrow when the induction hell should be over.
I am down 1.2 today. 4 more and I will be back to my pre-carbacide week. ![]() |

I'm down another pound this morning to 161! Yippeeee! Even after the salty/fatty short ribs. I'm over the moon about the fact I can eat higher fat & still lose. But, I think my theory may hold true that I need to be working out (lifting) on those days. Day 4 & today I feel very physically spent & headachey still....gonna skip cardio today & just eat lean. I have a dinner date with a girlfriend tonight that will include wine. I'm gonna go for it and just be sure to eat meat. One or 2 glasses & I'll be done! Even though I feel physically tired, emotionally I am thrilled! I feel in control and on my way to a leaner me. I can already see it. My face is de-puffing, my tummy is flat, my thighs aren't as hamhockish, my arms show more of my slaved for muscle definition....things are looking better.....and I can't wait to watch it tranform even more! Please stay on plan, please stay on plan!! xoxox

The high fat thing is actually on my mind. I know some of you eat ground turkey and I bought Turkey burgers which are high in protein but also have 15 grams of fat. This seems nuts. Is anybody eating these with success? |

A strict strict day would look like this 2 HB eggs with a sprinkle of seasoning I think it is called Janes crazy mixed up something or other. about 5 ounces chicken breast 3 time between noon and 8 pm. I go to bed at 11. Usually spiced up with with a mixture of lite soy, rooster sauce, and ezsweetz. Some days I do higher calories/fat. I will eat some string cheese, maybe fry cubes of chicken breast in a pan with a quick spray of olive oil. Salmon patties, maybe some mayo in my tuna if I feel real crazy. ![]()

I'm tellin ya gals, take a lesson from the big (or small) cats for the meat lifestyle.....
I have one middle aged lady cat who has gotten a bit stopped up lately.........so I made some oatmeal and mixed it in the food........my cats get only wet food, dry is loaded with carbs and fillers which shortens their lives..........kidneys go bad and such......a lesson for us all, esp. with my dad and UC diagnosed, the nexy step for him is Crohn's, crapping your pants all the time then drugs, surgery and death..........meat is the word..... this is not a diet, it's seriously time to think about our paleo roots and saving your own life, carbs are really that freakin' bad they can kill you....... ![]() |

G'mornin! Down 1.6 today. Two more pounds and I will be where I was before I went to the dark side. My headache is gone and other than feeling a bit tired, I feel great.

Hey everyone!
Sunday I jumped in a pool of carbs...and as usual, it's taken until Thursday morning to get back into ketosis. I'm going to the state fair today...the plan is to do turkey leg or shish-ka-bob... I know if I eat funnel cake, cinammon roll or other sweet treats it will puff out my face...and bloat me. Vanity keeps us in line sometimes! Plus it's so expensive! So happy for you ALoha!! You are doing great! Bratty, you are too!! It's great to see the losses! CC, you are so right, those carbs are so bad for us...why do they have to taste soooooo good!?!?? |

You know, jumping into a pool of carbs is my go-to stall killer. I was seriously stuck at 218, went to Disney and ate tons of carbs, and now I am down to 213. My 3 or 4 week stall was finally broken by a carb day. I have broken 1 or 2 other stalls in the past the same way. I don't obviously recommend it but my body is weird so it works for me I guess.

My problem seems to be once I eat the sweet, I way over do it. HEre's an example... about 15 double stuffed oreos a kit kat bar a Hershey bar w/almonds then a trip to the Yog'n Fruit bar... Once I start eating sweets I just can't get satisfied...I'm like a bottomless pit! I don't know if it's mental or physical...maybe it's the mindset, "This is my last induldgence for the week...I might as well pile it in!" or if it's just that I'm so insulin resistant that I don't have a cut-off switch... I just don't know...but I have to constantly have to remind myself..."Eating that treat will just leave you wanting more..." Bratty, you are so right, I have to remember that ketosis is a better reward than puffy face & bloatiness!! THanks |

I am nowhere near where I want to be but my binges are a lot tamer than they used to be. My husband and I were laughing last night because he ate a cheese stick and his first thought was that he was never going to lose weight because of it. 2 years ago that cheese stick would have been a huge bowl of ice cream. You just have to be ready in your head. I have been told that each time you resist it the better and easier it is each time you are confronted with it. We have a bag of dark chocolate kisses in the freezer. When my sweet tooth is really bugging me, I eat one. It is frozen so I can suck on it to last longer. It seems to help. You will get stronger each and every day. I will quite rambling now. ![]() |

Ugh so far behind on posts! haha
I am still just sitting at 148, I haven't really gotten back on plan yet because I think I am recovering from thanksgiving still lol. I have been feeling super yucky so I think tomorrow I will go back to straight meat and see if that helps my tummy. as for neightbor boy we pretty much hung out for 4 days and then I got busy with thanksgiving and asked him to hang out but he was too tired from being busy himself and as bad as it sounds I just don't have time right now for someone who is just as busy as me lol between running and work and the 4 dogs and friends and I just got a second job, my only free night was last night so it sucls but at least I figured this out early, maybe one day in the future we will share Bacon again but it won't be any time soon. Aloha great news on the loss! CC love the witch costume! |
