Awww, all the puppies and dogs make me want one soooo bad. We are leaning towards a goldendoodle as our dog was a border collie/chow mix and he shed like crazy. It was the only thing that we didn't like about him. I cannot wait until my son is 3.5 (date I've decided he'll be 100% potty trained )

Bratty - our dog also came to us early - 7ish weeks old. I think it's just too young for them to be away from their moms so our dog had serious anxiety at night and seperation anxiety during the day. He eventually did outgrow it but it was a rough few weeks at first for us. We ended up buying a little kennel and putting it on top of our nightstand so that he could see us while we all slept. Then he went in the big kennel during the day for potty training and when we were away. Kennel training is the best thing you can do for the dog. And congrats - he's super cute!!

Night one he cried and barked a bit but then he was quiet for the rest of the night. Last night was hell. He literally barked all night. Everything I have read says it only lasts like 4 nights. I hope that is true!

He is only 7 weeks old. Breeder said the mom weened them early because it was such a huge litter. (12)
he is probably just scared in the bathroom, puppies are happier in somthing more den like although some puppies are fine in open spaces, but if you have no ther options the bathroom is probably best if he doesn't settle after 4 days he will once the kennel comes.

were you checking in on him last night whenever he cried? what about the night he was being quiet?

All soooo adorable!!! Yes, Percy is a golden retriever/poodle mix. He does shed a bit, but we do have to get him groomed so I think he will stop shedding eventually - but you never know, since goldens shed quite a bit!!
I am allergic to dogs, which is why we opted for this mix, and I am not allergic to him - luckily!

Poodle mixes are great because they are very smart = easy to train! Percy was potty trained within about 5 days...

Once you get the kennel, be consistent about using that. We still put Percy in the kennel when we leave him during the day. He likes it. We even find him in his kennel resting when we are home!

Bones sheds like a crazy man but the fur doesn't stick to you its just all over my floors so I figure its not so bad haha. Daisy always hangs in her kennel she loves it but it took time for that. Bones has never been in a kennel but he is literally the perfect dog, I can' t take credit though cuz didn't get him til he was 3.

Do you ever wonder if you lose the weight and get to whatever you magic number is, mine is 125, 117 if possible. Will things be different? Will I magically be able to know to stop eating when I am no longer hungry? Or will it be a constant battle to stay at that weight?

Will things fall in place because I am finally happy or will I still be lonely but lonely and skinny? Will I go out more and meet new ppl or will I continue to keep to myself and fear crowds?

Will Bones eat me because he now only weighs 15 pounds less than me?

What if my friends don’t wanna hang out with me anymore because I no longer want to sit around and snack and be lazy, I have already kinda noticed that but maybe its in my head?

It was our only option. My husbands boss is suppose to bring a crate home we can use until ours gets here. I will put the little guy in my room with it tonight. Hopefully that will be enough to calm him.

The first night I did not check him since he seemed content. Last night I took him outside once hoping that maybe he needed to go out. I think he is scared of the bathroom. It is big and echoes when he barks.

Hopefully a crate works.

On the plus side. He is showing signs of understanding that he need to go outside to go to the bathroom. He whines and tries to go downstairs to the backdoor. If I take him out right then, he goes, then heads right back to the door to go back in. OR I may be wishful thinking!

That's what I like about stillmans, not a lot of guesswork to it.

My son is 5 and has just abandoned me for the wonderful world of Kindergarten.

I have a feeling my number is never going to be low enough. I have thought I was fat even when I was in high school, skinny and VERY athletic. I have always hated my body. I hope that being fat and losing the weight will make me feel better about myself. I guess time will tell.

I have a blog I read that is about a girl losing weight. She has lost almost 200 pounds and lately has had issues going out with friends. They want to eat at the old hangout spots and binge on food. I can imagine how hard that is to deal with on both sides.

I hope Bones never wants to eat you! Don't spill food on yourself, just to be safe.

Thats good as hard as it is to ignore them when they cry you have to otherwise it teaches them that crying and barking will get attentio, even if you yell at them its almost encouragement because you are still giving them atention. In the mornings the pups hear my alam clock and I have to wait for them to stop crying before I let them out of the kennel so now I set my alarm clock 15 mins early and someimtes fall back asleep and am late for work all because of the puppies

I wouldn't be surprised if he was learning already the 2 labs I had last were fully house trained at 9 weeks, my daisy on the other hand took about 8 months but terriers are stubborn

God if i only had the answers!!!!!!!!!! Honestly i don't think weightloss fixes things. I always thought i would be so unbelievably happy when i lost the weight-but it's just brought other problems with it. Yeah i suppose my confidence has gone up-as in i don't feel embarrassed walking into a shop or something......but no i don't think it's a fix-all solution----unfortunately!
I truly believe once you have a bad relationship with food then you always will. Maybe it can be managed but it will always be there.
