Yes, the slow train has pulled out and is on the journey. I think I have finally figured out what works for me. In the past, I would lose 10-12 pounds the first two weeks, and then it would taper off to 2 lbs a week. Now, hopefully I will just be slow and steady - I hope. This way I can eat a piece of birthday cake or not worry about an occassional off plan meal (very occasional) because I only need to show a 2 lb pound loss for the week. I have struggled for years with being 100% on plan or being so not on plan life is miserable.

I'm going to walk to work this morning if the weather holds and will start Callenetics and Strong Women Stay Young today.

GT - I first learned about Callenetics 25ish years ago. There was a spread in a magazine and I knew it was the exercise for me. I was in North Carolina for the summer at my parents house. I was a Seminary student in Pittsburgh at the time. Anyway, the article showed a few of the moves but one needed the book to be able to do the whole routine. So, I bought the book - which I still have - and started! I remember that when I did the first ab exercise I could only do 4 in a row! I haven't done them in awhile, but I bet I can do close to the complete sets even now!
Nice work! 2.5 is a great number. I hope the train keeps a steady move for you.

O Mim YAY on the train!!!!!!!!!!

and life is not without, I went up to Treasure Island (the attic) and there was my backup pot, a Black and Decker from a garage sale. She works well, drinking a fresh grounds free cup of Eight O'Clock Hazlenut.......

don't ne fooled by the skinny stars my friends, they are all either vegans (these you can tell cuz they get older looking faster.....(•Alanis Morissette,•Alicia Silverstone,•Gwyneth Paltrow) or they know the LC way and will age more gracefully (Jennifer Aniston,Catherine Zeta Jones,Geri Halliwell,Kate Hudson)

I can't have coffee.
I felt that way for a long time. I drank coffee all day long. I still miss it but it does not bother me that I can not have it anymore. I do on occasion get a decaf from starbucks. I am super paranoid about it too. I question the maker of my coffee several times to make sure it is decaf.

I hit 204 today. Barely! But I did hit it. 204 is the lowest weight I have been in over 4 years. I have had the number 205 as the weight to beat for so long and I am SO happy to finally be past it.

Onward to onderland!

Congratulations! My lowest was 209 about 3 years ago and then I had to go to New Zealand for a couple of months and couldn't get back on the wagon when I got back. You will be in onderland soon!

Yaaaaay on the loss, Mim!!!
I love Callanetics!! I find the video boring and slow--but it really has reshaped my hips from the front-I was always, always a pear.

Yeah but the vegan ones are always skinnier with no muscle!!! ....and I know, beat me up now, but that really is the look I prefer. I tell myself you should look toned abd tight and healthy, and yeah It looks good to look as though you work out, and you need protein cos the heart and brain are also muscles--but in my heart of hearts If I could wave the magic wand it would be the skinny figure I'd pick.

That is sort of what happened to me. I got to 232, lost weight to 205 and gave up. I quickly went back to 230 and have pretty much been bouncing between 230 and 215 for the last 4 years. It is a viscous cycle to get out of. I hope this time is it for you.

I think a person should look the way they want. You are the one that has to be comfortable and happy. It is YOUR body after all. I hope you get the figure you are striving for.
Right now, I do not know what I want other than to be skinnier than I am. My goal is 150, but I may get there and decide I want to be skinnier. Time will tell. I haven't been that small since high school when I was very athletic.
