I have had a very tough year - and of course, I ate my way through it. But I am in good space now and ready to be serious about getting the weight off. I have to confess ('cause confession is good for the soul) that I have been checking on everyone here. Part of the reason I was only lurking is because I didn't have internet and posting from my phone is a pain.

I'm eating higher fat than Stills allows, but when I start the higher fat makes life a bit easier.
Welcome back to the land of no carbs. lol

My weight is the same. I really hate stalls. Makes it so hard to stay on. I am determined to not let this get the best of me. I know if I ride it out I will be happier than if take a nose dive into a carb pool.

Thank goodness I found my new fave way to eat my chicken.

I hope the rest of you are doing well today.

to Marr!!

Just my daily accountability check in.
Lost 1.4 pounds yesterday, so have lost 3.4 of the four lbs. gained last weekend.
Working out of town today and eating out for lunch, so I'll probably be more Adkinsy today than Stillmanish.

100% all-beef frankfurter for BKF
Lean meat and salad when out to lunch?
High protein, low carb nutrition bar on long drive back home.
Grilled chicken or salmon fillet for dinner.
Light beer

Sorry we had to let the other September Stillman's thread die, but I'm really enjoying this one, too! Hope Emalilly from the other thread has found a WOE she can live with.
XOXO to all y'all, as they say around here.

My husband used to drink them until he saw this...

A new investigation by Consumer Reports finds that all of the protein drinks tested had at least one sample containing one or more of the following; arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury.

I do not know much about it. It was an article he ran across when he was weight lifting. I am sure a search would come up with some information for you.

Specifically, "Consumer Reports" found that Muscle Milk Chocolate, Muscle Milk Vanilla Crème and EAS Myoplex Original Rich Dark Chocolate can expose users to elevated levels of heavy metals when they consume three servings a day.

I am off a plan for the next 3 days but I will check back until tomorrow and then be back and ready to go Monday (I really need to get the Internet at home, it was on my cell but my phone gave me the black screen of death so maybe I can get Internet on my new phone)

so is it possible to lose muscle? I want to because I am very muscular on the lower half of my body if it were possible to just lose fat and keep the muscle the way I am I would have toothpic arms large chest and then drum stick legs haha I am going to start yoga in hopes of lengthening out the muscles but I just wanted to know if it was possible to lose some of the muscle or if I am living a fantasy haha

I have been learning to watch what the kitties eat and go with it. Yes, Bluto adores spicy chicken wings and steak, but shys away from tuna (what does he know anyway), and loves blue cheese dressing, and has eaten romaine at times.

I could go on b ut I won't. This should be the wake up call for anyone who has stumbled onto LC. It is a way of life that can save your life or at least make it healthier and longer. Sugar and carbs have no place in the human diet. You can eat them if you like. If you eat them in excess they will eventually kill you.

CC - thank you so much for posting this! I really appreciate you taking the time to do this! Very good information!

Keep eatin' that chicken bratty!! And get all of your water in! Water intake makes a HUGE difference for me! Especially if some of the foods I eat have a little more sodium..... you can do it!!

Hey congrats on the loss liz! no time til your back to your "before the beach" weight!

Awwww you're in Austin today?? how fun!! I just learned the longhorn's name was Bevo at the UCLA Texas game on saturday! I'm actually a UCLA alum, but secretly I was wishing I was on the Texas side.....their fans are so much more into it & cooler!! Are you coming out for the UCLA USC game? We should "meat" up! ha!

so where abouts in San antonio are you? I have friends in schertz and alamo heights (I think that's the name)

and what do you do for a living? I am thinking of moving to Austin in a few months! Sorry if I'm being too nosey....just ignore me if I am
