Who's attempting to be cheat-free this weekend?? Weekends are hard for me sometimes...but I made it through last weekend...
I rarely make it through the weekend, even if its just licking the salt off chips. I think its because I don't hve internet at home so I can't come on here to complain.

Deep fried sweet batter that you can put powdered sugar, chocolate or anything sweet on. Mostly sold at amusement parks/carnivals. It is horribly bad for you!

This is what wiki says.... funnelcake is a regional food popular in North America at carnivals, fairs, sporting events, and seaside resorts. Funnel cakes are made by pouring batter into hot cooking oil in a circular pattern and deep frying the overlapping mass until golden-brown.

Down another .8!

Normally I lose quicker in the beginning but I have been eating cottage cheese and cream in my coffee but if that keeps me on track then I will keep them in until I have more willpower, could also have something to do with the fact that I didn't eat dinner until 9pm last night and normally I eat at 630 so it din't have as much time to burn off....

The good thing about losing this slow (funny how i consider .8 a day slow when on WW that could have been my loss for a week) is that I am less tempted to cheat because its not coming off in a day like it normally does.

I have a wedding to go to tomorrow that I was only invited to on Wednesday so I have no idea what I am going to wear and I didn't dye my hair so I might look like a hot mess haha. The wedding is a pig roast and there will also be chicken there and then normal sides so I think if I eat mostly chicken and pork and maybe a small salad I should be good. I just don't want to gain even if I am at a standstill after the weekend I will be happy, good thing I don't like cake unless its ice cream cake of cake with the whipcream icing so I know I won't be tempted to eat it.

Speaking of cake my bday is in 6 days and I think I am ging to get an ice cream cake as long as I don't need to buy it myself... this is what happened last time I had to buy my own cake 2 years ago:

haha It sounds good except the deep fried part, I hate donuts and its sounds like it might be a big flat donut.

I was getting bags of ready to bring to the charity shop at the weekend. It was just stuff from last year and the year before--so all UK 10s and 12s---but they just hang of me now. It's strange. Anyway I found one old fleece top that I used to wear constantly-prob like a security blanket-as though it would hide my weight. (it didn't!). It was a UK 22 from Evans. So.......eek!!!!
Ahhh, looooooove you more.
Loving the new smilies :high5 : faves!

That is the saddest looking birthday cake I have ever seen. Was it at least yummy? lol

My husband loves ice cream cakes. We get him one for his birthday every year. This year will be the small one. I can't have that sitting in my freezer.

It seems like more pressure to lose it when you put an actual number to it. Whether it is how much you want to lose or how many days you want to be on the diet. I fail almost every time. Now I just want to lose a bit each day and I have no set number or time to get it done. Day by day I make the best choices I can for whatever my mood or day is. That is all I can ask of myself for now.

GT, MMS, do you buy from any of the charity shops? Some even sell online, was wondering if there are some more posh shops you could steer me too?
Yes I do. I live in a pretty posh part of London and you can get some real bargains! Remember the new Springbok fur bag...£5!

[QUOTE=Aloha Linz;14999549]Yipppeee!! I'm so happy too!! Thank you! Energy levels are low cause I'm not sleeping well at night. I took a little nap this morning though & feel a million times better. I have to get up at 4:30am almost every day, and sometimes it's just hard to fall asleep by 8:30 to get 8 hrs! It seems like 10 or 10:30, even 11 lately, which is NOT enough. When I'm in bed by 9, that is ideal!

How much sleep do you get AL?

Can I ask, is anyone here on any medication? You don't have to share if you don't want, but I'm just curious, and how it helps you. I actually just started prozac on Friday. A 10mg dose. It's making me a little more tired than usual, BUT, the awesome thing is, it doesn't make me think about food! Soooo weird, but I'm not obsessing & calculating & whatever else I would do about food ALL DAY LONG. I even "forgot" to eat at one point yesterday. Anyway, it could be the Stillman's affect too, I'm definitely not discrediting that! Just not sure. That's kinda why I'm askin' to see if anyone else has similar experiences to me on prozac or other anti-d's??

xoxo[/QUOTE
I took prozac years ago for postnatal depression...did not like it at all...felt like a space cadet but everyone is different. Also, I believe antidepressants cause weight gain. I am a bit pissed because my weight loss has been real slow of late. I have been on some medication which I am due to stop tomorrow...read the lable this morning and the compound is made with lactose. I know I will then start losing fast.

It sounds really bad but no, I never shop at charity shops so I don't know any good ones. I know London is full of posh ones though!!
I know he cares about you but he should be proud that you are working out and taking care of yourself... was he just as concerned when you were not so healthy and overweight? Could he be a little threatened by your lovely new figure? Hope you don't mind me asking... just a thought...I mean it's not like you're doing drugs or watching porn. Maybe explain to him that you enjoy these shows...he needs to except the new you. Whack me if I'm out of place.

When you guys go off of stills how much do you normally gain? I usually go up about 5 at first then once my body is used to the carbs it goes down to about 3 gained in the end..... So should I be aiming to lose 3 less than my goal weight? All these questions about goal and I haven't even started losing yet haha
Up until recently (when I went totally out of control) I hardly gained at all when off plan but then I ate a kind of modified South Beach phase 2 plan with treats here and there but sometimes I would go into treat mode for a couple days. I plan to eat the same plan when I reach goal...it works for me maintenance wise.

Men aren't generaly catty so why would the men folk even care? You'd think they would be clamoring about while you're looking so fine...

knew that about thrift shops and you, hoping MMS has some in her bag of tricks
I actually just bought a "New" two seater sofa from a charity shop in Wimbedon...you can tell it's new by the smell, It's immaculate. The assistant told me it came from a show house. I even had the cheek to barter and got it for £130. I am going to collect it next week coz need to use a friends van and they said I can pay when I pick it up. I have not told OH yet, waiting for the right moment. I'm really funny about second hand things...they have to be as good as new and not have that funny smell you get in some second hand shops. DD also got some really cute silver heels for £4...they look like they have been worn once.

I have not told OH yet, waiting for the right moment. I'm really funny about second hand things...they have to be as good as new and not have that funny smell you get in some second hand shops. DD also got some really cute silver heels for £4...they look like they have been worn once.
haaaaahaha secret shopper, didn't tell DH.......LOL, I just bring the stuff home when he's not around, sometimes it's weeks before he sees the change.......too easy!

OK y'all, I am trying to hand wash a leather patched sweater and the dang leather dye keeps bleeding into the cotton, I even have it rolled in a towel and it still did it, yep, too cheap to dry clean, any ideas???????

I feel great when I am eating clean, I guess I just start missing the foods that I do love. The added stress in my days and not getting a full night sleep is not helping either. When the scale moved a bit everyday I get a small boost in motivation but when is stood still for almost 2 weeks, I broke. I need to find something to focus on when times like that hit or I am going to be in this cycle forever. I have literally been bouncing the same 20 pounds back and forth for 3 years.

My new goal is to get under 200. That is only 12 pounds away. I feel if I can hit that I will have renewed motivation to keep going. Just saying 200 something as a weight feels like a ton of bricks on my back.

OK rant over.
I am sitting in a dimly lit room and I seriously thought there was a bug on my screen.

In 2003 I rented a dress and bag for a wedding from a place called One Night Stand because the dress would have cost a fortune to buy. My friends dad is a multi millionaire and the wedding was the most spectacular event I have ever been to. The reception was in her back garden, I say back garden...guys they have a lake!!! I can not imagine what it must be like to be so rich. I had no clue what to get her and her partner for a wedding present (what do you buy someone who has it all?), so I bought them a lovers leap bungee jump, lol. Anyway, I think it cost me about £250 to rent the dress...it was worth it though, I did not want to give it back.
