I don't know if you guys have heard of Rent the Runway, but I LOVE it. I rented jewelry and a dress for the wedding rehearsal and dinner, and just got it all in the mail yesterday! It is absolutely beautiful!! ALSO, I fit into the size 4 dress I ordered a 6 and a 4; I wasn't sure which would fit when I initially ordered them... the 4 fits perfect!!

Check it out if you are interested..I LOVE this site and they have amazing service... it is so fun to rent expensive designer dresses and accessories!!

I read a great post from TaDa who said maintaining is basically doing what you did to lose he weight---but with none of the rewards!!! Think yup, it's true!!
I have to agree with you on the control factor of QWL! It's so easy & there's no "guess work" if you're doing it right! And for maintainence, if one can control themselves on low carb including veggies, then I think that's the perfect way to go! I am struggling with control for now, so I'm gonna stick with the QWL...food controls me! How dare it? I want to control IT! That's my next goal...no one, nothing controls me but ME!

About an hour later, I was sick and puked up all my dinner. I puked for about an hour straight and then finally felt good enough to lay down and fall asleep. This morning I feel okay, just a little unsettled in the tummy... Seriously... not happy.

Is this food poisoning? Is my tummy just not used to so much food? Was the food too rich? I NEVER throw up and rarely get sick, so this was very rare for me. QUOTE]

Bless your heart!!! Poor thing!! Sounds like food poisoning to me too...maybe the dressing on the salad?? Ouch! Glad you're feeling better though. FP is for the birds!! t-minus 3 days til the big day!!! How exciting!

I feel great when I am eating clean, I guess I just start missing the foods that I do love. The added stress in my days and not getting a full night sleep is not helping either. When the scale moved a bit everyday I get a small boost in motivation but when is stood still for almost 2 weeks, I broke. I need to find something to focus on when times like that hit or I am going to be in this cycle forever. I have literally been bouncing the same 20 pounds back and forth for 3 years.

My new goal is to get under 200. That is only 12 pounds away. I feel if I can hit that I will have renewed motivation to keep going. Just saying 200 something as a weight feels like a ton of bricks on my back.

OK rant over.
Awww girl I feel for you! What can you do to get the scale moving downward? Can you take out any of that pesky stress? Or perhaps get to bed a lil earlier tonight? What's your menu been like? Post it & let us dissect it for you! Especially some of the pros on here....they are wonderful at helping others break through plateaus! One thing I know for sure is...YOU CAN DO IT! Stay with it my friend....under 200 will be here before ya know it! xoxo

I love reading y'alls posts, and have been slightly obsessed with Aleriaaa & Getting There's progress! I think I started reading around the November 09 thread & I'm in January 10 now. Yep, you guessed it, I don't have a life!

So yesterday I was super sick & nauseas....I think I need to add some fat into my diet. Monday I had only 2 breasts of lean turkey & yesterday I had only 2 protein shakes cause I couldn't stomach anything else. I ended up eating oatmeal later cause I felt faint. I think a healthy combo of lean & slightly fattier proteins might be a good solution for me! So I've got a pot roast in the slow cooker with some onion soup mix going. this morning I'm having some turkey bacon. Ya, not totally Still's legit, but I think I need a little sodium & fat refeed! I can't function like I was yesterday....didn't even go to work & slept for about 8 hours during THE DAY! No thanks!

P.S. can anyone tell me their recipe for the pot roast & onion soup mix? Not sure if I did it right... I seared the pot roast first, plopped it in the slow cooker, added water til it was covered, then added 2 tbsps of onion soup mix. It's cookin' on low now. Is that ok?

I know him through my best friend's boyfriend I would say we are more acquaintences, I believe the wedding is at night but I am not sure. He just invited me because Jess (my bestie) has no one to sit with because her Boyfriend and their daughter are in the wedding party.

Ok, if the wedding's at night it's a little more fancy...do you have a simple black dress or black pants you could wear? For a gift, I would try to do something around $25 if you can....maybe a gift card, or just $$. You could find out where they are registered and get em a gift card to one of their stores. Hope that helps! I love weddings! So fun....enjoy girl!!

and I will talk to my friend and see where they are registered or if they are just doing presentation.

Does anyone eat Pork on Stills, I am today because it was in my freezerand for me meat is meat in the beginning but I never really hear anyone talking about it. Its pretty lean and its ok but I find it doesn't satisfy me the way chicken does. what about Bison? I am gonna go and buy some this weekend because I like it and haven't had it in a while and its very low fat.

I like pork, I am just not a big fan of pork chops -- I prefer pork loin, cooked in the slow cooker until it falls apart! YUM!

I'd say meat is meat at this point! And pork is a decently lean meat... I say go for it! I'm all for more options!!

Haha that same thing happens to me... my fiance doesn't eat leftovers () so I was stuck eating pulled pork loin for 2 weeks too!! It was good though... just gets tiring after a while. I found a caribbean jerk recipe with diet cherry coke and seasoning... yum! I will have to make that soon!

It was just a can of diet cherry coke, roughly chopped onions for flavor, some butter if you would like (not necessary) and sprinkled the caribbean jerk seasoning (look for one with low carbs/sugars) on the loin... threw it in the slow cooker on low for like 8 hours! It literally falls apart... very easy and yummy.

Yeah if I eat anything rich off plan i feel really sick. I ate a handful-l-and I really mean a handfull, cos I don't particularly like them--of nachos on hols last month and I threw them up. (and no, not on purpose!) i think your body gets really used to plain foods.

That site sounds really cool! We have Own The Runway---it's more celeb copycat fashion!

The stress is a new puppy we have that I am the only one taking care of. Same reason for the lack of sleep. I need to get up earlier to care for him before getting kids to school and hubby to work. I can't seem to get to bed earlier. I work at home and our little bundle of joy is loud and needy. It will work out in time. Probably when I snap and scream at everyone. Then they will help me a for a little while.

My meals were almost always 2 hb eggs for breakfast and about 5-6 ounces of chicken breast 3 times. I was pretty strict, that is why it was so frustrating to be stuck. I am fairly certain it was nerves/stress, lack of sleep and raging hormones. I just need to have more patience next time I hit a wall.

My husband eats the boneless pork chops with fat trimmed off, grilled on the foreman grill with like a tsp of some sauce like terriaki, enough to flavor but not kill the diet. He loves it and it doesn't seem to effect his weight loss any.
