Stats: Pregnant - trying to keep gains at a minimum! :)
WOE: wheat allergy + low carb + pregnant!
Start Date: Every day!
I have my bachelorette party this weekend!! Staying at a lake home with 16 of my closest girlfriends! There will be a lot of food there. I am going to do my best to stay on plan... but I will be drinking vodka/beer and probably snacking more. I am bringing a dozen boiled eggs to eat, and there will be grilled meat to eat.

I am preparing myself for a couple pound gain just in water retention if anything... it sucks!! I am really excited for it, but I want to have fun... and I hate putting myself through something that I know will stall my weight loss goals.

It's STRICT when I get back Sunday though... I hate worrying so much about my diet/food/weight loss

Do you guys notice if you feel more depressed on Stillman's? Lately I have just been a blob... bored with life... and there is absolutely no reason to be!! I am getting married in less than a month for goodness sakes!

My "mood" seems to have started right when I started doing more of a Stillman's diet (less fat, more protein) than Atkins diet.

Anyone else notice this?

Y'all are so lucky to have one, I don't even know where the closest one is...we have a BJs but it's not worth the drive, the prices are the same at the local grocery.

It Can be Hard Keeping a Straight Face as a COURT REPORTER

These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.

ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that morning?

WITNESS: He said, 'Where am I, Cathy?'

ATTORNEY: And why did that upset you?

WITNESS: My name is Susan!

____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all?

WITNESS: Yes.

ATTORNEY: And in what ways does it affect your memory?

WITNESS: I forget..

ATTORNEY: You forget? Can you give us an example of something you forgot?

___________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?

WITNESS: Did you actually pass the bar exam?

____________________________________

ATTORNEY: The youngest son, the 20-year-old, how old is he?

WITNESS: He's 20, much like your IQ.

___________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Were you present when your picture was taken?

WITNESS: Are you shitting me?

_________________________________________

(My Favorite)

ATTORNEY: So the date of conception (of the baby) was August 8th?

WITNESS: Yes.

ATTORNEY: And what were you doing at that time?

WITNESS: Getting laid

____________________________________________

(Another favorite)

ATTORNEY: She had three children, right?

WITNESS: Yes.

ATTORNEY: How many were boys?

WITNESS: None.

ATTORNEY: Were there any girls?

WITNESS: Your Honor, I think I need a different attorney. Can I get a new attorney?

____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: How was your first marriage terminated?

WITNESS: By death.

ATTORNEY: And by whose death was it terminated?

WITNESS: Take a guess.

____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Can you describe the individual?

WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a beard

ATTORNEY: Was this a male or a female?

WITNESS: Unless the Circus was in town I'm going with male.

_____________________________________

ATTORNEY: Is your appearance here this morning pursuant to a deposition notice which I sent to your attorney?

WITNESS: No, this is how I dress when I go to work.

______________________________________

ATTORNEY: Doctor, how many of your autopsies have you performed on dead people?

WITNESS: All of them... The live ones put up too much of a fight.

_________________________________________

ATTORNEY: ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK? What school did you go to?

WITNESS: Oral...

_________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Do you recall the time that you examined the body?

WITNESS: The autopsy started around 8:30 PM

ATTORNEY: And Mr. Denton was dead at the time?

WITNESS: If not, he was by the time I finished.

____________________________________________

And last:

(Well OK, this is the best)

ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?

WITNESS: No.

ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure?

WITNESS: No.

ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing?

WITNESS: No.

ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?

WITNESS: No.

ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor?

WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.

ATTORNEY: I see, but could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?

WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law.

This story demonstrates why you should think twice before taking the kids out to dinner with you.

I was nervous the night my husband and I brought our three young sons to an upscale restaurant for the first time. My husband ordered a bottle of wine with the meal. When the waitress brought it, our children became quiet as she began the ritual uncorking.
She poured a small amount for me to taste, and then our six-year-old piped up, "Mom usually drinks a lot more than that!"

I did a little but I think it wasn't the diet as in what I was eating causing it but the fact that the diet effected going out with friends and just eating whatever because some of them would give me a hard time, others were fine with it. I actually found it was easier to go out with the guys cuz they eat mostly meat soI just fit in haha

I also started to worry because I was getting so obsessive about my food and panicing when social situations came around thats why I ended up taking a break but still kinda following I found it very easy to maintain my weight when I continued to do stills once a week (which is what dukan recommends if you read his book)

· I've been to a lot of places, but I've never been in Cahoots.

· Apparently you can't go alone; you have to be in Cahoots with someone.

· I've never been in Cognito either.

· I understand that no one will recognize you there.

· I have, however, been in Sane.

· There is no airport in Sane so you will have to be driven there...

· ..and I've made several trips.

Pretty much at the beginning, then I dropped the salad for months, then went back to it. I honestly feel better when I eat some-I faint and have dizzy spells if I only eat protein for a long time!
I honestly think you'd be fine having a small salad every day.

Nope! I love Stills! Loves what it does! I never got the ketosis 'high' either though!

I may have to try that. I have a few dizzy spells a day now. It usually goes away as soon as I eat tho.

I will be glad when the initial Blah feeling goes away. Tomorrow is day 5 so it should be anytime. I remember last time I did this I was hyper all the time. I could barely sleep!

CC thanks for the jokes. I love a good laugh.

So far I have had no desire to cheat EXCEPT when I make the kids their PB&J. Ugh, the feel of bread. lol

Thinking of doing some IF--one day fasting, one day Stills/Dukan. Going to read more abput it. It might keep my cals down-and my sanity!! I'm starting to feel as though I'm not compleyely in control of my eating. I just think too many bits and pieces are creeping in. Might kick start some weight and inch loss too! I read it has lots of health benifits too!

That is one of the reasons I earpt some salad---on pure protein I can't fall asleep til 3 or 4 in the morning--but because I def don't get the ketosis energy, I'm really, really tired.

I have never tried fasting. I doubt I could do it. I like to eat too much. Even eating chicken 24/7 is better than starving for me.

GT, I did IT years ago and liked it... your post got me thinking...gonna see if I can make it through to dinner time tomorrow...I fancy a little challenge. When I did it before I built up my fasting period gradually. I would go until midday then up to 3pm until I made it through the whole 24 hours. I use to have a one hour eating window, I felt in total control and really focussed. Let's see if I can hold off the chicken salad until tomorrow evening??? If not, no worries, I am still on plan. Thing is when I did it before I was eating Atkins style and the other time I did it I was eating whatever I wanted...maybe Stillman's is too low in cals to do it for any real length of time.
