eek......maybe just less fat. I think as a culture we don't do skirts/dresses nearly as much as UK gals. No clue-demographics? geography?

Of course, weather is a huge factor here so living bundled up for six months out of the year has different effects on different folks.

Up here in the sticks we see the NYC gals for the summers and we kind of do the catch up on trends, unless we're fashionistas and subscribe to mags or stalk designer websites.

I'm hoping the Ugg boot and legging trend is dead. I'm so glad I never bought some.....nothing wiorse than an old hag trying to look like a college student.

hey another thing, there must be a trigger there somewhere........kids, parents, boyfriend, if you can find out what it is then you have a better chance of heading off at the pass.

when I get stressed at work I would always find myself in the kitchen. Now there is a day glo pink water bottle on the counter at all times staring me down. Most times I want food I really need water.......

And you can pop on here if you're feeling an urge, there's usually enough of us around to cheer you through it.........

ps I love Gary Taubes, too........

it's evening everywhere, so what? Now is the time to really embrace the new you.......if you've read Taubes then you already know why carbs are a non essential part of your new lifestyle. Don't be afraid, sometimes it takes half a lifetime to finally find out that the public rhetoric is making us fat and we are not responsible for most of it. The grand conspiracy is found!

Update your stats with your locale........

I feel the same way! I get so sick of hearing the same tired lies over and over again. Oh well, hopefully the world will figure it out eventually. For now they can keep enjoying their "whole grains." haha

When I said "off plan" I meant higher fat than Stillman's allows for weight loss. hehe
I've sworn off carbs for good thanks to Gary!

Tks for the input. I am going to try and figure out what that trigger is because I can be doing really good and then I just blow it so big.....

Anybody have any advice or comments on the low fat turkey pepperoni?
I ate a half a package for dinner yesterday because I was running and didn't have to time to prepare anything else. The sodium is high, as is everything that is packaged meat, but they are so close to the real thing! 1 carb, 70 calories, low fat.
Is this stall material since it's packaged, processed, and probably 2 molecules away from plastic?
Also, has anyone had issues with their cottage cheese consumption? I'm going for a cup a day. Too much?

Today, so far:
2 oz steak
1 egg
1/2 cottage cheese
2 cups coffee

the salt is the big enemy here, also the nitrates. Flush with water when you indulge.

I'm one of the few here who adores cottage cheese and it's not stall material in my book...

O wow check this out when you have time to read.........this is amazing

Welcome to Mark’s Daily Apple | Mark's Daily Apple

The Primal Blueprint is a set of principles to live by. It’s a comprehensive health plan that covers everything from diet and exercise to sun exposure, stress management, sleep, supplementation, barefooting, posture, and the list goes on.

Our ancestors evolved over millions of years under certain environmental conditions. These conditions (the foods they ate, the amount of sun they got, the sort of movement that was required of them to survive, etc.) shaped their genome. While the world has changed in innumerable ways in the last 10,000 years (for better and worse), the human genome has changed very little and thus only thrives under similar conditions. Simply put, if you want a good future you better listen to the past.

LOL Mar, we've been having cube steak for breakfast this week..........gawd, I'm the cottage cheese geek, I eat at least two pounds a week. It's really convenient when you just need to shovel something quick, and it's portable, can be found at any grocery, so it's a go to for me on the road.
