Darn it!
I was hoping we would at least be within a size of each other. I have big feet.I probably need more Bs. And my dr. told me I need more vit D, and more UV light for some skin issues. So I have been getting more sun, about 10 min, 2-3 times a day;I hit the tanning bed once a week when I can't get outside. I'm already getting some color and NO burning. This is huge for me, because I normally burn. I think it's because, though I haven't been strict low carb, I am eating a lot less sugar and carbs. Last year when I was strict low carb (no fruit, sugar, dairy, or grains), I had the most amazing tan and didn't burn once. I'm convinced it's diet, at least for me. (My mom eats carbs and has the most golden skin I have ever seen when she tans. She could put an Italian to shame! But I burn when I'm not getting good nutrition.)

An old guy (not in the best of shape) was working out in the gym when he spotted a sweet young thing... He asked the trainer that was near by "What machine in here should I use to impress that sweet thing over there?"
The trainer looked him up and down and said "I would try the ATM in the lobby"....... |

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you
would have $49 today! If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you would have $33 today. If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you would have $0.00 today. BUT, If you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for recycling refund, you would have received a $214. Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily & recycle. It is called the 401-Keg. AND, a recent study found that the average American walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. That means that, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon! Makes you proud to be an American! |

THE FINAL
INSPECTION The Soldier stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining, Just as brightly as his brass. “Step forward now, Soldier, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?” The soldier squared his shoulders and said, “No, Lord, I guess I have not. Because those of us who carry guns, Can't always be a saint. I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was tough. And sometimes I've been violent, Because the world is awfully rough. But, I never took a penny, That wasn't mine to keep, Though I worked a lot of overtime, When the bills got just too steep. And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God, forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place, Among the people here. They never wanted me around, Except to calm their fears. If you've a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't, I'll understand.” There was a silence all around the throne, Where the saints had often trod. As the Soldier waited quietly, For the judgment of his God. “Step forward now, you Soldier, You've borne your burdens well. Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets, You've done your time in Hell.” Author Unknown~ |

Well Hello There ladies (& Gents?),
I have been completely swamped at work this week...The summer sure does bring in some interesting cases....I am soo sorry I haven't been around in a few days, but I read a few of the posts and to all of you who are joining us this month...I'm sure that you will have a wonderful experience on this thread to help and guide you on your Stillman's experience...We are all her to help and support you as you lend your hand and in helping and supporting others through their journey of weight loss...I wanted to say to our new future bride...CHEERS...I hope you enjoy your beautiful and well deserved day this weekend AkaGal..It has been a pleasure reading about all the happenings of a bride to be..Awesome and I wish you a wonderful and, hopefully, somewhat relaxing day..A day that you can revel in the day and just enjoy your new husband and your friends and family...Take care and you will look amazing ![]() I really need to sleep...I have been running on empty for the past few days and I am covering tomorrow for an ill doctor....I have been sticking to plan and keeping it very simple...However, I certainly have put mustard back into my diet and have been making a slammin' chicken salad with it for the past few days...I must say that I think of my mom every time I open my freezer and look at all the meat she stocked for me from Omaha...I was driving a different way home today and I spotted an Omaha Steaks Store! I had nooooo idea that they had little stores...Guess where I am taking a trip to on Sunday? The store...Their chicken breasts are sooo juicy and tender...I must buy a few more even though I still have plenty up there... I have decided on my vacation in August..I'm going to Lisbon, Portugal for 4 days and the San Sebastien, Spain for 3 and ending my vacation in St. Jean Pied de Port, France for 3 days....I haven't been to Lisbon before and I'm looking forward to it....I went to the other two places a few years back..I miss St. Jean..The beach was fantastic and it was a nice little town on the Atlantic side of France...I cannot wait and I'm excited...Well, I'm going to sleep early...Take care everyone...Have a wonderful night... |

Hey girls!
Some of you wanted to take a free nutritional typing test, so I found one here Nutritional Typing Test by Dr. Joseph Mercola All you have to do is make an account, take the test, and they will give you your type and some suggestions. Butterflymama, I feel the same way about food now. Its really nice, like I'm in control and not the cake or cookies or ice cream. Congrats to our new members' new losses, and I wish you a great wedding Tanya. Have a nice weekend everyone! PS. Sorry LV and CCgirl, but I can't really exchange shoes with you girls because my feet are extremely small. But your idea was pretty cool. |

Good morning! Checking in I have a lot going on the morning boys have footbAll camp and are quite excited. Someone from the redskins is coming to train them! I did ok at the baseball game but was drooling sniffing smelling and feeling every nacho beer steak fry and peanut I threw out there! Had to keep reminding myself that they will all get fat and lumpy, twas a long game but I survived! I did have a hot dog minus bun so i'll treat that as success, just a bit hungry but under control this am. Gonna have black coffee and take a bath to treat myself, We just had a dump truck of gravel delivered so I should get a workout hauling it up and down my mile long driveway . Sorry bout typos and lAck of punc I'm typing on my iPad Not real good for typing novels.

Here's my lesson for today. The top 5 pills registered dietitians swear by (drumroll please). 84 % = multivitamin. 63%=calcium to build and maintain strong bones. 47%=fish oil to ward off dementia (I'm so gonna start taking this) and heart disease. 43%=vitamins d to fight cancer and 29%=vitamin c to boost immunity. My thinking a little vitamin b for energy and you have the perfect cocktail!!!!!

Cc. You are a gal that loves a good question. .
I've done a ton of studying every diet out there but always go back to the question? Fruit - what's the big deal? I mean. If we go back to our hunter gatherer roots surely this was part of the whole process. Is it because we are a society of over processed junk and haven't learned how to control our portions or have we been conditioned to think we need more. I just can't imagine my life without it. I'm willing to give it up for now (as she gazes longingly at a fruit bowl draped with lightly sun kissed grapes . .. Oo ops a bit off track sorry,) but not forever. I realize the natural sugars will result in cravings but I WANT MY FRUIT . Moment of insanity. I gotta go pop me a fish oil and I'll be bAck. |
