Once you see a number like that, you know you've hit rock bottom. We both lost 30lbs and then nothing. So, I went the Stillman's route. He still does a "FLEXIBLE" version of Atkins with plenty of Treats along the way. He probably has another 30lbs to lose but it's not a big deal, I'd like him to be healthier but he's a very handsome fella (and very supportive) as he is! He has done what Tanya's husband has done, tell me he doesn't want me to lose anymore but for the most part, he couldn't be happier. He's got his hot wife back!!
awwwwwwwwwwesome! a keeper!

Vivi, I agree...it is very inspiring to read the successes of people here. I am amazed at the results.

tried eat fat get thin but it was too high in fat which doesn't work for me obviously. Had my last ice cream binge last night.

looking forward to getting serious about treating my body a bit better. It is time.

Two quick questions:

I work again tomorrow, (I work with a catering company) and I need some suggestions as to what you guys pack/bring for snacks and meals when you're at work or just out for the whole day in general? I work all weekend, and it'll most likely be for the entire day. The only thing with this diet that's kinda tricky is meat in the summertime... if you get my drift. Do you guys go all out and bring an ice-pack to keep your food nice or what? Haha

And turkey burgers! I read that a lot of people like to eat those on this, and I for one LOVE and have been CRAVING one of those lately. I was at the store yesterday and looking for them, and I could only find ones that had like 8 g of fat per burger-- is that okay? What's the acceptable fat ratio when it comes to these?

Thanks guys! Hope everyone is truckin' along just fine
on the road on Satirdays I do either a tub of cottage cheese, a Wendys double stack no bun, a quarter pound of low sodium roast beef from the deli.

OMG have been scarfing turk burgers. The 93/7 is all I can stand, I tried the ground breast of turkey and it was awful. And the secret is plain old French's yellow mustard......forget the spicy brown or dijon, yellow rocks!

That is an awful lot to eat when you're not hungry!! It's like 8 cans of tuna!!!!! Anytime I've stuck it into ****** the most my cals have ever come out at are 800-850.
If I wanted to get them higher then I would have to up the fat content!
Are you sure you're getting these calories from QWL approved foods?? Or are you not actually eating as many calories as you think??
Excellent point GT, I guess I should clarify when I say keep your calories from getting too low that I'm hardly eating a high calorie diet. Even when I push it - it's around 1,000 (occasionally I'll get to 1200). I have added in snacks - 2 HB eggs, Cottage Cheese, Farmer's cheese with my Tuna and Eggs and Mustard (it's good!!), I'll eat more baked shrimp or an extra piece of cod than I used to. I never did the breaking it into 6 meals but I've tried that and I kinda like it.

Unfortunately it appears they love their carbs....around here it's like those Walmartian emails people send you except it's live and real time

O that dollar menu double stack is delish on the run! We're in the Lake Luzerne area.

Raining again. Blech. That's why I got the new flats, need solid leather to stave off puddles...........

Try to reframe it, Stillman's isn't suffering, it's freeing, it certainly freed me from out of control cravings, it also frees you from a long drawn out process. It's so damn quick when you follow it. Last summer, I weighed a whopping 110lbs more than I do now - It took me 6 months to lose 30lbs on Atkins, the rest - all Stillman's. Be happy your nipping it in the bud now, I'm angry at myself, maybe more sad, that I let it go on for so long, didn't address it when I was 30 lbs overweight instead of 110lbs. Let's put it this, Tanya looks amazing in her bikini and while I like my shape - I WILL NEVER WEAR A BIKINI! The painful fact is, my body is always gonna have flaws. You're on the right track to take off the 30lbs now! Seriously, you couldn't even tell I looked thinner after 30lbs!!

As for cheating. Here's the thing, WE ALL CHEAT (or Treat as Al likes to say, I prefer it, takes the sting out of it). Don't wallow in it, or feel guilty or shame, just wake up the next morning and get back on program, the more to the letter you follow it, the easier it is. It's what you do over the span of 20 meals, not one meal, that really matters.
I really needed this today. . I woke up feeling awful. . headachey and just plain sick! I've gotta get my head on correctly and just kick this thing in the buttski. . I'm going to give it 100% for the next week and see what happens. NO weigh in today. . I'll do that tomorrow when I feel better!

Well. . Sun is shining so I'm going to make the most of the day. . gotta get my butt in gear. . taking kids to their first concert tonight and then packing up my baby for Camp. . his first experience so we shall see how that goes. Unfortunately, he's never really been a baby cuz he has his 3 older brothers to show him the way. I still think I'll shed a few tears leaving him . . I miss having babies in the house (some days) but love that my oldest can drive. . is that wrong?
Ok. .gotta get some work done and get myself motivated. Need coffeee. .

Hello my friends!!! I hope all is well. Ive been super busy at work , and my Mom's been staying with me , and the kids are finally out of school!!

I'm so sorry I havent been around to cheer everyone on. Forgive me?

So I have been a bad bad girl, and was it worth it, you ask? hell ya! I have to admit, if I were able to come here everyday like the good ole days, I would be at goal, but I have to say, Im really ok with my extra 5 pounds. I havent been in the pool, aside from with the fam, so this is why Im probably cool with it. Ive been on meat and cheese and cream for the last few days, and have been maintaining. Gonna kick it up a notch tomorrow and go back to lean. I have an event next weekend and although I wont look much different, seeing a certain number on the scale that day will help. So, heres to trying to lose 5 pounds this week!!

Update on the Crystal Light Mocktails! I found them and bought them, but only tried the appletini. A little tart, not enough apple, waaaaaay too green in color, unless its in the right glass and has vodka in it!!! So thats my review. Perfect for adding vodka too, but not alone.

Morning, Al, GT !!!

Good to see you up and around so early. . I'm just planning my day and thought I'd get a little inspiration from ya'all! I was good yesterday. and I believe the scale to be down (but I can't be sure as it was waaay, waay up for while. . I'm not even close to being at stats but I'll keep plugging away. .We still believe in not moving them up, correct?

This week I plan to knock it out of the ball park. Twas quite an ordeal trying to find something cool and cute to wear to the concert (without making me look like I was pregnant. .). . so frustrating. .I made everyone late and I wanted to cry. .and actually did a little. . I even considered not going!! Remember how I was never going to let clothes stand in my way. . Uggg. . !!! Well. . no more feeling sorry and bad. . . I have a goal and I must stick to it. My brother (who I haven't seen in a very long time) is coming at the end of July and I must have this poundage off. He was one of those typical brothers who always teased me about being fat and I dont' think he ever really saw me skinny. .Time to change that!!

Hugs to everyone. .I'm off to pack up my little one for camp. .

Girls-we can't keep letting this get the better of us--tears should be kept for far more important things(like sending babies off to their first camp), not for how clothes fit or what we weigh. We are sooooo much more than a clothes size or a number on a scale!!!!

I forgot, no changing stats up. Just brought mine back down and added in my highest weight to remind me of where I came from!

I have done the same thing IM2- cried over clothes and I have cancelled in the past! Im glad you fought through it and got to have a good time! Just this past week I decided I was not going to shop for my event on Saturday. (cover your eyes GT) but I hate clothes shopping. I spend an entire day trying stuff on, buy something I dont really like, just cause it kinda fits, and its a complete waste of time and energy. (Cause damn it takes a lot of work getting in and out of all those clothes) Anyway, Im wearing on old dress, and Im not even gonna put it on until next week. Whatever it looks like, Im gonna have to accept it, period. A few drinks in, and I'll forget how tight it is anyway.. and short, cause the more I gain, the shorter the dresses get.

Your little guy is gonna have so much fun! Mine wants to go to a coastal classroom, but they want $250/week!! Having never paid for daycare this price still seems steep. I think I'm gonna let him check it out for 1 week, and maybe next year we can plan for it.

Then I get the mother of the decade award! My big boys are going on a mission trip so I signed my little ones up for camp the very same week. . However, not to be totally an off mom. . this will be the first time in 17 years we have not had some kids at home. . seriously. . I can't ever remember a time when we have been away or without at least one or 2 kids every day since the oldest was born (and he is 17!!)
